Just listed my house for sale this morning. Hopefully that will be enough for endzone tickets... AT NORTHWESTERN

I don't go to away games, but it would be nice if M fans could come to that game in force, which usually happens, but especially this year. As I have stated, I'm not buying NW's hype and think they will win only seven or eight games.

I apologize in advance, I'm not a Chicagoan... But this looks like a great time!

What's the deal with the 'Young Alumni Corner'? Do you need to be an alum to sit in that section? That's the cheapest ticket on stubhub right now.
August 1st, 2013 at 12:03 PM ^
It's likely just a section that they place recent graduates in. StubHub doesn't allow people to list tickets that have restrictions unless those restrictions are explicitly stated in the listing ie: they don't allow student tickets on the site at the Big House. They might if they are validated but normal student tickets are not allowed.

I don't understand Northwestern's goal with Purple Pricing.
The prices on StubHub are significantly less than the current prices if buying from the NU ticket office. Regular seats on StubHub are $130 and on NU are $183.
Why would they create a pricing system that steers people away from buying directly through them?

i watched the explanation video and it says when the price drops the difference will be refunded (i assume on a per section basis) and their selling point is that you buy the tickets at the price now and get the difference back when it drops. which is aimed at people buying more tickets to guarentee seats thus having it drop less. the question is how do they determine when to drop the price and all that. its like the dynamic pricing everybody is going to except it seems their tickets only drop in price and have the refund option. hypothetically the prices could end up dropping below stubhub prices

Snagged 3 at $65 a pop (Row 6) back in May.
Pretty pumped. Anyone in Chicago want to start tailgating right now?

Already started. Come on over to Ashland & Addison.

That's funny, I was just by there (did my cardio at the Y).
That reminds me, anyone know of any new Michigan Bars on the Northside? Would love to catch a game with some likeminded fans.

People are always going to Duffy's or the Diag. I was recently at a place called Newport's at Southport/Newport and they had an M flag and claimed to be a "Michigan bar".
To be honest, I don't think I've ever actually watched a Michigan football game at a bar. I need a comfortable environment, aka place where I can yell.
I yell plenty when I'm at the Diag, though I will say sitting on a comfortable couch does beat sitting on a bar stool. Not to mention the waitresses at Diag are borderline incompetent.
On North Clark there are Moe's and Rocket. Moe's > Rocket. Did a B1G Pub Crawl there a couple of years ago (bunch of us in our 40s, kinda funny reactions). Clark has a bar for almost very B1G school. Had a great time, from what I remember. It got a little drunk out that night.
just ate at burrito house the other day after the cub game.

Section 124 (South/West Corner of Ryan Field). The side of the endzone. Not sure if you've been to Ryan but really there is no "bad" seat. Alsmost feels like a highschool field.

Sideline season tickets are priced at $262. The combined price of the UofM and Ohio tickets are $385. Someone at NU needs to rethink this policy.

Stubhub is the way to go. Sideline tickets are $183 with purple pricing. I got mine for just over $100.

A buddy was at the NU ticket office when it opened this morning and the best sideline tix on the Michigan side were near the corner at $183 a pop. He bailed and immediately bought 12 tix on stubhub (around $100 each) which were located on the Michigan side at 40 yd. line, row 63. Thought purple pricing was supposed to reflect secondary market. This is nuts!

for $65 each in the endzone. Betting that the endzone price on the school's website doesn't come down that far (currently at $91). Even if it does, just glad I have tickets. Love not having to travel for that game.

Pretty interested in this game. It looks like it could be another pain in the ass games like last year. I'm really hoping we just come out and squash the hell out of 'em right from the get go.
NW is one of those teams that the longer you let them hang around the tougher it is to beat them.
but really looking forward to it. Can't beat a fall roadtrip to Chicago and what promises to be a good game.
