Name change back to Chick-Fil-A PEACH Bowl
To some this may not be a big deal, but to me (and it would seem Brian & Seth) changing the bowl names to only have the sponsors has been annoying at best, if not tradition-destroying money-grubbing. I thought this was ill-fit for the new playoff system and it appears that the organizers agree. For the new playoff (which the long running game in Atlanta will be a part off), the bowl will change the name back to Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl
Michigan needs to play in the Peach Bowl.
So what are they gonna call the new playoff sites? The 2014 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl National Semifinals? Why does everyone suck so bad at coming up with names?
I predict that the 2014 Chik-fil-A Peach Bowl National Semifinal will give a multi-million dollar contract to a consulting firm to come up with an appropriate name, and the firm's recommendation will be: 2014 Chik-fil-A Peach Bowl National Semifinal.
Is this the first instance of a corporate sponsor giving us back the correct bowl name? I think so. Let it never be said the college football playoff never did anything for us.
Next let's see if we can have the Copper Bowl back.
The 2014 College Football Playoff Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl National Semifinal!
I'd have to see some recipes.
I believe most of the southeastern United States never stopped calling it the "Peach Bowl" anyway, and rightly so, I would think. In any case, Rose, Sugar, Orange, Cotton, Fiesta and Peach sound far more congruous than Rose, Sugar, Orange, Cotton, Fiesta and Chick-Fil-A (or Sandwiches With A Side Of Fries).

The Outback Bowl works for two reasons: 1. It has had that name for a long time, so it's not like it used to have a cool name that was recently changed to Outback Bowl, and 2. Outback, though it is a corporate name, doesn't sound incredibly so.
Take for example baseball stadiums. Comerica Park has a corporate name, and although it's way worse than Tiger Stadium, doesn't sound everly corporatey. I think Great American Ballpark is the same way. Compare that to, say, US Cellular Field or Citizens Bank Park.

Agreed. But fortunately we just call it CBP
How can you not love the $5 special?

This is awesome. In fact, I just commented yesterday that I wished it could be called the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl!

Instead of the Explosive Diahrrea Bowl we're going to change the name back to the Explosive Diahrrea Peach Bowl. Everybody celebrate our generosity.

I think Dan Jenkins should be allowed to name all of the bowls.
When I looked at all of the bowl names for the semifinals, they all were rather traditional and then you had the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.
I thought (They need to change it back to the Peach Bowl, presented by Chick-Fil-A...like the Rose Bowl presented by AT&T).
They got halfway there.
Oh I kid the social conservatives. I even like the sandwich.
It's not the "Chick-fil-A Homophobia Bowl"?
I Love their food and their service. I hate their social agenda.

No politics. Also, there's not a conspiracy or anything; LSA and I are real people with real lives outside MGoBlog, and occasionally something will slip through the cracks. When we see it, we address it (uniformly I might add).
My joke was almost funny. Still cost me all of my mgopoints.
So, after five weeks, mgopoints? Or no mgopoints?
