This is odd.
February 9th, 2012 at 6:35 PM ^
yea, I mean who cares! they might as well call Michigan State Michigan.
February 9th, 2012 at 4:27 PM ^
Probably some new stupid jersey they are going to wear against us...or announcing he will only reference us as the school up north?
February 9th, 2012 at 4:27 PM ^
Is this a joke, or is this real?
February 9th, 2012 at 4:30 PM ^
But I can tell you the post off the Valenti/Foster Facebook feed is very real
February 9th, 2012 at 6:38 PM ^
the conference is real, but this whole shyt is a joke
February 9th, 2012 at 4:29 PM ^
Maybe they want you to tune into their radio station at 4:35 and they are going to talk about Meyer saying something about Michigan. Probably a teaser to get more fans (b/c Michigan draws ratings) to their show if I had to guess. Either way, the only time I want to hear Meyer talk is in a press conference after we beat them and he has tears streaming down his cheeks.
February 9th, 2012 at 5:36 PM ^
You are correct, Michigan, Lions and Tigers do draw the most ratings on 97.1 and msu turns people to other stations. This bit of info is from a host I know personally on 97.1. who also said that Valenti has been told to not indulge in sparty so much because of ratings reasons but Valenti doesnt care.

Terence Reginald Foster III?
February 9th, 2012 at 6:59 PM ^
I'd like to hear him explain the piss in his pants after we dominate him, in every aspect of life. - Michigan defense
February 9th, 2012 at 4:30 PM ^
He is announcing his retirement citing health concerns.
February 9th, 2012 at 5:26 PM ^
He already succumbed to Nick Saban disease. The prognosis is a severe case of Brady Hokeitis will be the end of his coaching career.
February 9th, 2012 at 4:30 PM ^
There's people that not only still listen to that windbag but subscribe to stuff from him on Facebook?!
February 9th, 2012 at 4:31 PM ^
I do it just for the articles???
February 9th, 2012 at 4:32 PM ^
Per twitter:
Ohio State coach Urban Meyer said Ohio State will refer to Michigan as that school up North. woody and Bo mentality returns. yeah
February 9th, 2012 at 4:34 PM ^
isn't that old news?
February 9th, 2012 at 4:37 PM ^
I thought so but apparently it qualifies as new to Valenti and Foster. After that post they posted that someone said Michigan and Meyer said "we don't use that word". Turns out it wasn't worth the time, not surprisingly.
February 9th, 2012 at 5:26 PM ^
Do they refer to MSU has That School Up North State University? Or That School Up North Agricultural College? I mean, they don't use THAT word.
February 9th, 2012 at 4:53 PM ^
Well that's not as bad as being called "Ohio." I can't think of a worse word.
February 9th, 2012 at 5:03 PM ^
Buckeye.
at least Toledo has Tony Packo's and used to be part of Michigan. There's nothing redeeming about that university or football program.
February 9th, 2012 at 5:23 PM ^
In related news, Brady Hoke will coninute to refer to Ohio State as "Ohio" except after the game each year when he will refer to Ohio as "that school we just beat."

Nail on the head. I heard that Urban had in his contracts at Utah & Florida that he could leave to coach Michigan, ND, or Ohio. Anyone else hear this or know if any truth behind it?
February 10th, 2012 at 11:41 AM ^
Yup, I remember that too. It was in the Utah contract:

February 10th, 2012 at 1:39 PM ^
Thanks for digging that up.
So we know for a fact that Hoke would never coach at Ohio.
Urban on the other hand actually made it a point to put Michigan on a list of places he would be able to leave his current job to coach at.
Fakebuckeye.
This goes right along with telling kids God wants them to play football at BGSU / Utah / Florida / Ohio.
February 9th, 2012 at 7:14 PM ^
wow...he's just chock full of innovation
February 9th, 2012 at 9:25 PM ^
February 9th, 2012 at 4:32 PM ^
He will do the only thing he knows how to against Michigan: lose
(See 2008 Capital One Bowl)
February 9th, 2012 at 4:32 PM ^
LOL What?
February 9th, 2012 at 4:34 PM ^
o urban
February 9th, 2012 at 4:35 PM ^
You do realize that it was one of the many vermin at 97.1 who tweeted that right?
Who cares. Scoreboard baby.
February 9th, 2012 at 4:36 PM ^
Ok - fess up. Which one of you jokers peed in Urban Meyer's Cheerios?
February 9th, 2012 at 4:41 PM ^
You mean today? Tuesday is my day to pee in his cheerios. I don't know who's got Fridays.
February 9th, 2012 at 7:38 PM ^
February 9th, 2012 at 5:07 PM ^
I enjoyed it.
February 9th, 2012 at 4:37 PM ^
That tweet was a let down. 40-34
February 9th, 2012 at 4:37 PM ^
He is announcing that he will be giving Michigan the silent treatment.
February 9th, 2012 at 4:37 PM ^
He also says he was "slandered" by Wisconsin's coach. For a guy with so much success, he's kinda a whiny bitch. Chuckle and move on, Urb, there are kids who need to be encouraged to transfer.
February 9th, 2012 at 5:00 PM ^
This is a guy who quit his job twice because he basically had a bad case of the hiccups.
Him acting like he's a badass is fucking laughable. If only sitting in a room with his family wasn't more terrifying than his fear of death by indigestion, none of us would have to listen to this windbag anymore.
February 9th, 2012 at 10:18 PM ^
Not really news that he's a whiny bitch. Remember 2006? If not, allow me to refresh your memory.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:51 AM ^
February 10th, 2012 at 9:19 AM ^
Nice, any other inside info about him being an asshole?
February 9th, 2012 at 4:41 PM ^
The thing I hate about the new scoreboards is the score isn't permenant. After the game I really wanted to take a picture of my gf and I with the score in the background, but the actual score was removed almost immediately. I can see that you're wiley enough to see that coming.
February 9th, 2012 at 4:47 PM ^
I wish I was lucky enough to have been at this game, but a fellow MGoBlogger sent me this picture because I requested one on here so I could frame it next to 1969 & 1997 ones.
February 9th, 2012 at 5:11 PM ^
Someone on another message board posted an email sent to Dave Brandon voicing the same complaint. Brandon replied and said he would look into to doing something to keep the score posted after games. So hopefully that is fixed by next season
February 9th, 2012 at 5:52 PM ^
I thought she was your fiance? I'm telling her you said that.
February 9th, 2012 at 5:58 PM ^
you got me.
February 9th, 2012 at 4:38 PM ^
Is this for real? If so, the guy is off his rocker.
