2001 is my favorite movie by far. Like most people, I saw it initially when I was younger and was like, "There's some cool shots but it's slow and boring". Then is saw these youtube videos by a brilliant Brit named Robert Ager:

(There's 3 parts) Anywhoo, it made me realize what a brilliant film that is and since then I've done a huge amount of research on the film. Kubrick has also become my favorite filmmaker because he put this level of thought into all his films. Never see one of his films and not research deeper meanings because, trust me, they're always there. Sorry to get so excited, but I'm in the SAC department here at Michigan (well, I'm a film minor).

My brother is a professor at Auburn and I visit often.  It is a marginal university academically and at best second banana in a third banana state.  My brother did graduate work at MSU and he would agree.  Even the MSU comparison to Michigan only works at the margins as at least MSU is a legitmate university. The notion that Diamond took academics into consideration for a minute is laughable.

I lived in Montgomery, AL for a couple years. and on my first few trips to Atlanta, I didn't even know I had "missed" the Auburn exit.

I will say that if a college athlete wanted to go somewhere that they would be treated as a superstar, not only will that get that from Auburn University, they will get that from the city of Auburn.

Honestly, what a dissapointing close-no momentum at the end at all. You'd think with all the commits locked up before signing day we would have been able to focus on some other guys and steal a few.

My Michigan arrogance makes me wonder why these guys don't pick Michigan. Then I remember that I'm trying to understand 18 year olds' reasonable thought patterns. My decisions when I was 18 were pretty suspect too.

Now we have to find someone willing to hunt down Kozan on his vision quest and bring him to A2. Barwis and the wolves would have been ideal here, alas....

We are fine at OL. Big guys coming in and more room for another 3-5 next year. Kozen would be nice, though. This kid from day 1 just never seeme like he would choose m. He called us his leader forever, but never pulled the trigger. To me that is never a good sign. Sucks that we were 50/50 with so many kids, as getting him, reaves, Garnett and Dunn would have surely made this the #1 class In the nation.

Auburn now has 6 OL signees. It seems unlikely that:1-Auburn takes 7 OL and 2-Kozan would want to join such a large crowd.....although we should never underestimate the power of "benefits"
