Denard at the MSU basketball game

That could be. It wouldn't necessarily be an "extra benefit" for them being athletes.
Of course, I don't think they'd even bother going for the shirts - they get enough free Adidas stuff as it is.

Denard is a special human being on so many levels!
January 17th, 2012 at 9:35 PM ^
I got nervous when he was jumping up and down getting hyped up, didn't want him to get hurt.

what is the dance? maize ragers looked super on tv. great job by the students and the student athletes. #GTB

My gf who is a UNC alumnus was lamenting how close the students are to the floor, commented on the great atmosphere . . . so yes. Tremendous.

Can't wait until someone can download the actual video of Denard and the Blue's Brothers. As great is the gif is the video will be MgoHistory!

That's great. Makes me wish I could roll back time. Great drum solo at the end.

Not to be all negative. It was a solid win, and Crisler looked pretty full, but my friend went to the game and called me after saying that the spartan fans were louder than our own (similar to when OSU fans took over the Big House in '09). When I was watching the game on TV, i had to go in the other room and when I could not see who scored I could not tell which team scored because the level of crowd noise was so similar in volume. Obviously just about all things basketball are getting better but we still don't have an intimidating or intense atmosphere.

I heard some pretty robust applause after Green hit that trey. I just assumed the cameraman was pretty close to some sparty fans.
January 17th, 2012 at 10:52 PM ^
Were state fans loud? Yes. They always have been in Crisler.
But they were NOT louder than the Michigan fans tonight (I was there).
January 17th, 2012 at 11:07 PM ^
I was in the upper section, closer to the MSU fans that were there, and I can say without any doubt that the Michigan fans were louder. When MSU briefly took the lead, things got a bit quieter, but overall it was a more raucus UM crowd than usual. There weren't any instances of the "Go Green" chant overwhelming the home crowd as there were in the past.

While I could hear the msu fans on tv, no way they were louder than the home crowd. The michigan fans were definitely rocking. I was impressed.

My kids were going nuts watching the game - not about how close the game was, but about Denard.

good for recruiting.

Denard is easily my second favorite wolverine of all time. Mostly due to his personality and the way he embraces Michigan in all aspects.
<br>
<br>Woodson has always been my favorite, just because he could produce in all aspects of the game. Also his support for Motts is tremendous. Great player and great person, exactly what a wolverine should be.
January 17th, 2012 at 10:09 PM ^
Couldn't agree with you more. Woodson is iconic for what he does on the field and for Mott. Denard is going to be right there with him. Look forward to one spectaular year next year.

happy and having fun in college..Denard is a TRUE Michigan man he loves Michigan! He represents everything good about college sports..!! Great Kid! good represenative of the University of Michigan..Shoelace for Heisman!!

Denard makes me wish I was 9 years old again, without my oversaturated Internet-supplied view of the football world. Fortunately, I had #21 to watch at that age.
January 17th, 2012 at 10:06 PM ^
That young man puts the fun into just about everything, it seems. Great to see that after what he did as a player, he gets to enjoy some of the same as one of the students. Guy is really the anti-Id; I'm sure he is (rightfully- proud of what he's done as an individual, but he just exudes "team" in such a genuine way. Awesome.

A lot more student athletes where like this.
January 17th, 2012 at 10:12 PM ^
It was impossible not to smile watching Denard and Roy. Great guys, and awesome ambassadors for Michigan. Ah!!! What a game! Bow Down lil Bro.
January 17th, 2012 at 10:13 PM ^
Everytime I see his smile I want to marry him.
January 17th, 2012 at 10:16 PM ^
We need to make this a tradition of the players going to the games after the bowl game is over.

There were a fair number of state fans so its not surprising they were noticable. Also obviously not on tv but I know a bunch of the football players including denard have been to a bunch of softball games. The athlete community at michigan is pretty tight across a bunch of sports.

just how awesome a person Denard is.

Next to Denard in the bandana! This clip has now been on ESPN and sportscenter. This has been one of the most awesome nights of my life. Go Blue.

Denard would make a great father. He seems to make the most out of wherever he is. Kids need that sort of influence.
Ordinary dad: Man! This is the seventh diaper I've had to change today. Seven! I think I just experienced every deadly sin. Fuck this shit, and FML.
Denard: I won't always have this opportunity, so I'm going to revel in this here diaper - mmm, reeks of boundless youth! <transition to tangential musing> I realize my days are numbered; life goes by the same way I go by linebackers: quickly. Life also leaves its laces undone. By the way, I have no idea what that is supposed to mean.
</I like to think this is why Denard always appears happy no matter where he is>

I love roundtree but im just not feeling the shades ha. All kidding aside, roy is cool as hell. lived on the same hall as him and shaw in west quad when they were freshman. he'd come to our room to hangout and play xbox. Biggest frontrunner i've ever met though, he was a patriots, yankees, and lakers fan ha
January 18th, 2012 at 12:14 AM ^
A bit of a humblebrag...but I'll allow it. And whats wrong with him being a frontrunner...I say the boy just likes to win!

Who were the other 2 players the other night w/ Denard and Roy?
January 18th, 2012 at 1:35 AM ^
pretty sure it was Frank Clark and Rawls, maybe one other but I don't remember
January 18th, 2012 at 1:39 AM ^
100% pure awesomeness.
There is no other individual in the universe who I would rather have as the face of Michigan Football.

I watched the basketball game, but afterwards I was watching the highlights on Sportscenter, and I caught a quick glimpse of Lloyd Brady. I had to rewind my dvr just to make sure....and yep, it was Lloyd. Good times.
