Danny O'Brien still an option?

Submitted by Knappster on

With TomVH's cryptic comment yesterday in the ESPN chat, does anyone wonder if Danny O could be back in play?  Tom said that he couldnt really say much other than the person is committed to another school.  I don't think he was referring to Reeves, so who is it?  With all the shenanigans going on at Tennessee, I wouldnt mind seeing O'Brien back in the mix for UM.  And yeah, I know we have a ton of DL talent coming in, but we lost Pharoah who was at one time considered a DL/TE commit.

But from people I know at FHH, it may infact be Burbridge. There are rumblings that he hasn't been 100% comfortbale at MSU for a while now. Please take that with a grain of salt, but it comes from a pretty reliable source. Now do I think that Burbridge will end up at UM? In a word, no. But, I think he honestly wants to visit Michigan soon, because he may feel he made the wrong decision. I think the value of Shane Morris is really starting to sink in with him.

I don't believe he'll end up here, just commenting that someone I know that is always right, saying he may end up visiting. I don't claim to know anything, so there's really nothing to believe about my statement.

OL, ESPN 4 star, committed elsewhere.  How about Issac Seumalo, Garnett's buddy.   jg talked him into visiting, which is why jg is looking so good for us.

That would be awesome too, he's really good.  He's one of the least talked about of the awesome group of West Coast OLs (probably because he's been an Oregon State commit since June) but he's certainly one of the best.

However, his Rivals profile shows that he's visiting USC this weekend.  So again, if he's willing to be public about visiting SC, why would he need to be secretive about visiting us?

Why would he want to visit again? He's been here twice in the span of two weeks, if he were going to commit here why wouldn't he have already done it?

Burbridge would also make sense considering he lives in Michigan. It would be very easy for him to take a secret visit one day, without even booking a flight.

Dunn could also be an option, especially if we're talking about a NSD switch. Michigan is a good fit for him, and he has every reason to keep the visit secret & wait until NSD, given OSU fan's reaction to Kalis switching. The location factor comes into play here, too.

Both of these guys are long shots, I know, just giving my two cents while we're talking about theories and rumors.

My fault for not being clear.  I checked to OSU directory and Dunn wasnt in there.  I checked for Braxton Miller and the Borens.  Miller wasnt in there but Borens were.  So, maybe it some time of glitch, only certain members are in there.

I meant I dont think Dunn is the suprise vistor.  Sorry, after reading my message, it was entirely clear.

It's possible I suppose, but I didn't flat out ask him about Burbridge or his commitment to MSU at all. I asked what it would be like to play against him the next four years after being such tight teammates and he gave out a pretty good answer to the question. He'd be pretty crafty to just make that up on the spot.

Kind of OT, but I miss all of the old MGoRecruiting memes. Evaluating prospects along the lines of 'Sad Josh' or 'Nefarious Eduardo' would be nice. Also, the OMG SHIRTLESS scale of rating the excitement surrounding a recruit was a good thing while it lasted.

Ondre Pipkins was tweeting about how Michigan is recruiting Danny again... and he doesn't seem to happy about it. Not sure how to post tweets but anyone who follows him can do it.
