Is the way to go, great headphones in every price segment. I own the momentum over ears (absolutely incredible, but around 300 bucks) and some of their cheap ear buds which are great for the money. Beats are terrible for the segment they are priced in.
Had 401 with a German professor (don't remember his name) it is honestly the only class I've ever taken that no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't understand some of it.
South is still a premier highschool. Last year south sent 70 or so kids to michigan with almost 100 accepted students. Not as certain about North. But I can tell you the GP schools are absolutely still very good. Despite this, and as sad as it is, the truth is the influx of minorities has caused test scores to drop significantly at both schools (an article was written in the school paper a couple years ago while
I was there by a black student, hoping to create change. It was shown with statistics on the increase in minorities corresponding with a drop in test scores). Grosse Pointe as a city is absolutely still a stable area, and a ton of wealth remains in the area, only a small area of the park (the cabbage patch rental area), and small parts of the woods are showing any sort of decline, and even that Is simply in property values, the houses are still quite nice for what they are.
I'm a current student. People don't go because they'd rather get up, get bombed, go get some food, and go to sleep/watch it on their couch instead of standing in the stadium and watching the team suck. Now don't get pissed at me, I go to every game and cheer my ass off. But I also didn't buy student tickets for the upcoming year. Instead of buying student tickets I decided I would just spend literally 30 seconds before the game looking for someone at my tailgate who's too drunk to go. Give them 10-20 bucks and save 50-75% on the ticket. It's that simple. Students get very, very drunk on game days, and the product these last few years just hasn't been good enough to change their minds and make them into rabid football fans (keep in mind, 50% of students are from outside of Michigan, and didn't grow up as huge michigan football fans). That's the unfortunate truth and it needs to change, student indifference to the football team has got to be at an all time high currently.

But sorry, getting hammered at massive parties in beautiful weather with beautiful girls as well as your best friends and fraternity brothers (something you will Only do about 20 times in your life) is more fun then going to the first quarter of the Illinois game. I'm a freshman and can tell you the main reason everyone was late was the night before. Friday was a huge party night and almost everyone I knew slept in saturday morning, I'm not just talking normal students either, even most of the Greeks (including myself) who are normally up by 6 slept in until mudbowl started. Also, like everyone has said, not every student is a huge football fan. I'd love it if everyone was, but remember this is an elite academic institution. Sports aren't the first thing on everyone's mind.

Sorry but that's just dead wrong. I am a incoming freshman and I went to a highly competitive public high school (50+ kids going to M) and there were plenty of kids this year who had 3.9 or higher GPA's with 27 or higher on the ACT who didn't get in. Granted some with those stats did. But both of those are scores are quite a bit above average. Michigan is getting much harder to get into. I'm just glad I'm not applying 10 years from now.
Totally agree with you, theres a lot of great music getting hated on here. DMB is really great if you listen to the live cd's (especailly if its of a show you went to) and U2 is quite possibly the most influential rock band of the last 25 years... Plus PINK FLOYD!!! how can you dislike dark side of the moon? It is truly a great album. None of these are even close to my favorite bands to be honest but I definitely think they make some very good to great music. The stuff that is pure shit is todays mainstream music. Lil Wayne is terrible, really just awful. Every single song is him talking about his addiction to pussy, money and weed (ill admit good things to be addicted to). Maybe a little talk about how big his house is thrown in after that. The one song i do like of his is Tie My Hands. Other then that think about Ke$ha, Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Waka Flaka Flame... its all really just bad. There is some great music being made today (Whoever mentioned Foster The People is right) Its just most people dont look for it enough to see it.

Today actually was the end of a prank that started last year for me. For the last year we convinced one of my friends that another guy working out at our gym played in the NHL for the lightning before a career ending foot injury ( the lightning were my friends favorite team for some reason). For the next year this guy proceeded to wear lighting gear, talk about his experiences with fans, post pictures on facebook of him in full lightning equipment and even get kids to approach him at the gym and ask for his autograph. Today we told him it was all fake and he was absolutely shocked. In the end we probably had 50-60 people in on it at the gym and everyone kind of gathered around when we told him. Needless to say my friend is a complete idiot, but it was still hilarious.
First of all I have to say it's really cool to have a recruits brother keeping us updated on things. That being said, and if he doesn't want anyone to know feel free to simply not reply. But im sure a lot of us are wondering, does Matthew have a timeline for his announcement or is he just rolling with things for now?
hard to be impartial but michigan is probably a legit A- with the combination of a great town and some awesome architecture (law quad especially) the only negative is the distance between some areas and that makes it not an A for me.
