If LSU ever gets a good QB, they're going to be scary.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:28 PM ^
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:28 PM ^
And that's saying something, because they're already scary as hell.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:25 PM ^
It's surprisingly fun to watch a day of college football without the fear of suffering a loss. I kinda like it
December 3rd, 2011 at 8:15 PM ^
Yeah, I like it too. I feel like an ESPN talking head. I get to sit back and smugly comment on everyone else's trails and tribulations.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:29 PM ^
If the system decides on a rematch, it looks like we play TCU in NOLA. If Oklahoma State can impress and get to the title game, I think the Sugar takes Bama to replace LSU. Then the Fiesta picks twice and we end up playing Stanford in AZ.
I'm hoping the Pokes lay the lumber tonight.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:31 PM ^
Les Miles took his final timeout on Georgia's 35 to send out the punt team. Amazing.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:32 PM ^
Rumors in Indy have Sparty changing out of regular uni's and into Nike Pro Combats before kick-off
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:34 PM ^
Attention whores.
December 3rd, 2011 at 11:07 PM ^
Spartans are going with the ALL GREEN tonight
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:36 PM ^
Where did they get that idea from?
/s
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:41 PM ^
Dave Brandon is certainly an attention whore as well.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:37 PM ^
Clearly this is an attempt to confuse the Badgers to make them think they are in the wrong stadium when they see what appears to be Baylor warming up on the field.
December 3rd, 2011 at 8:34 PM ^
Now that was funny.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:32 PM ^
I would rather play Stanford as well but we definitely shouldn't sleep on TCU. Remember there were a number of people who wanted Patterson to be our coach about 11 months ago and they did beat Wisc in the Rose Bowl last year. Sure they lost Dalton and some other key players but they have a solid program that is getting to the point where they reload year after year and they will be Big 12 next year.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:36 PM ^
TCU has that no-win feel to it (much like Miss. St. last year). Everybody will be talking about Luck, the draft, and will probably be picking Stanford to win. They also run the kind of offense that I think plays into our defense's hands a lot better than a team that tries to spread you out with athletes on the edge.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:47 PM ^
How is TCU a no-win? They won the Rose Bowl last year and de-railed Boise this year. They've been a more elite team the last few years than we have. It would be a huge win for our growing team, not to mention there's a pretty good chance TCU just hammers us anyway, they're playing very good football right now
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:59 PM ^
Oh, they're a good team. But this year they've been all but invisible. And it's not as if they're ever a big draw. If you beat them, people will yawn; if you don't, they'll snigger.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:37 PM ^
Is there any way we could play the ACC champ? I know they are slated to play Big East champ, but id love to play Va Tech. Assuming we make the bcs and va tech wins, of course.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:49 PM ^
We'd have to go the Orange Bowl and they have last pick. We're too rich and there are too many of us for that to happen.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:35 PM ^
If that's true it's funny how they embrace the pro combats so much. They have no tradition if they think that wearing them is better than their green unis.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:40 PM ^
so...in the first big 10 title game....South Florida will play Wisconsin? Jeez...again this is why your sparty.
December 3rd, 2011 at 8:05 PM ^
does that even mean?
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:40 PM ^
Agreed about TCU being a no-win. Also hard to get excited about that program. Good team. But boring as hell. Nobody wants to watch TCU.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:42 PM ^
Is Baylor going to jump us in the BCS?
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:45 PM ^
Our odds of getting a BCS bid are dropping as the day goes on.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:48 PM ^
Why are our odds dropping? Even if Baylor jumps us, Houston, Georgia, and the Big 10 title game loser probably drop below us. That still leaves us at #14.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:54 PM ^
Wait, what? Georgia is getting blown out. Houston will drop behind us after getting blown out. Oklahoma may yet drop behind us. The Big Ten Championship Game loser will probably drop behind us.

December 3rd, 2011 at 9:08 PM ^
I think UM needs Oklahoma to lose, preferably by a lot, and for Va Tech to take care of business. If Oklahoma wins, they and Ok. State will probably stay above UM and a Clemson upset would probably make them pass us and keep Va. Tech ahead of us.
An MSU win doesn't hurt, either.
December 3rd, 2011 at 10:17 PM ^
Why will TCU leapfrog us?
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:53 PM ^
Although Baylor looked impressive today, would a three loss team with two blow-out losses (55-28 to Texas A&M and 59-24 to Kansas State) jump Michigan?
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:44 PM ^
It's interesting how the song "Let's Go Blue" - a song originally improvised by a Michigan hockey band member in the 1970s - has spawned imitations across the country.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:55 PM ^
I'm going to ask you a question, and more than likely, you're going to answer with the same info you already provided. But I'll ask it anyways....

Is that actually true? I've never heard about it. I wouldn't be surprised (and actually would be even more proud to be a Michigan Wolverine). Anywhere I could read about it?
December 3rd, 2011 at 8:07 PM ^
Here's a 1984 Sports Illustrated article about the song:

I've often wondered where that chant came from and I'm not surprised it originated at UM. Thanks for posting.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:44 PM ^
Even if they jump us, it appears Michigan has jumped two spots with Georgia and Houston losing. The third will be the loser of the Big ten CCG, or if Oklahoma loses we could move up four spots.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:48 PM ^
Houston and MSU most likely would drop below us...but its no guarantee.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:55 PM ^
I think Houston is going to get murdered by the polls. When Hawaii lost to Georgia in the Sugar Bowl, they dropped nine spots. That was a 31 point loss to a top 5 team. Houston got crushed by a 10-2 Conference USA team and they have no decent wins backing up their ranking. I think they'll be somewhere around 17-19 in the human polls and 20+ in the computer polls.

...and his rematch-rationalizing flip-floping ass. That is all.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:52 PM ^
Sweet jesus. Now he rips off Brian's play-off system. Literally unbelievable.

How did Danielson ever become such an SEC slappy? The only explanation is he is trying to appease his masters...
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:48 PM ^
Danielson is such a douche. Screw him. I could care less he is a b1g alum.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:49 PM ^
Danielson just starts with a pro sec premise and devises any scenario necessary to fit that premise.
As soon as he started up again, just now, my TV went off.
December 3rd, 2011 at 8:21 PM ^
Did you hear him say that they should give LSU a share of the NC no matter what? Before the game is even played. WTF?
First the SEC championship is meaningless, now the NC itself is meaningless.
Hey, here's an idea . . . next year, let's not even play the season. Let's just give the NC to LSU and Alabama to share.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:51 PM ^
I'm prepping for a disappointment tommorow.
They dropped UM last week after a win.
I have no faith in the voters, computers or system at this point.
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:51 PM ^
I wonder if Miles knew he had this team coming back, if this helped Hoke?
