META: Looking to get banned from MGoBlog?
This thread is a public service announcement to any of those MGoReaders that are looking for a sure-fire way to get to Bolivian . . . Inasfar as this moderator is concerned, the fastest and easiest way to get banned from the site (if I have any say in the matter) is to "out" a fellow member of the community or other nameless celebrity/personality.
Do not - I repeat - DO NOT post any personal information about a fellow MGoMember without prior written approval.
References to fellow readers are acceptable (as long as it is positive and not argument-inducing). For example: "Lloyd Brady is awesome" OR "Profitgoblue is extremely intelligent" OR "StephenRKass has a great username." (oops!)
But consider yourself forewarned: If I see or if anyone notifies us in the Moderator Action Sticky (link at top of page) that you are "outing" a fellow member, I will do everything in my power to make sure that you are not able to post again.
Thank you, and have a nice day.

I missed something big

Some asshat posted a link to Lloyd Brady's Facebook page along with his name and HS alma mater last night.
September 19th, 2011 at 3:14 PM ^
+1 for the use of asshat.
September 19th, 2011 at 3:44 PM ^
Son of a whore would have also been acceptable.
September 19th, 2011 at 5:14 PM ^
i think crotch-stain is an appropriate synonym as well.
September 19th, 2011 at 5:53 PM ^
What did his mother have to do with any of this?
September 19th, 2011 at 6:31 PM ^
I've always wondered where the term asshat came from. It seems like it's relatively new to the vernacular. And it doesn't seem like it's a literal term - a hat on an ass doesn't have any derogatory meaning as far as I can tell. Any ideas?
September 19th, 2011 at 6:38 PM ^
My guess: asshat is a contraction of the phrase "wearing your ass for a hat".
September 20th, 2011 at 10:55 AM ^
"I like your ass. Can I wear it as a hat?"
September 20th, 2011 at 1:33 AM ^
is also a synonym for "tramp stamp."
September 19th, 2011 at 3:17 PM ^
My jaw dropped when I read it. I was shocked Brian didn't just pack it in and call it a day.
September 19th, 2011 at 3:19 PM ^
it's shocking that a member of a UM board didn't use logic skills and posted user info of a board mainstay? i know plenty of 19 yr olds who would think they were doing something positive so people could FB the kid, etc. it's not like they posted bong photos or something.
September 19th, 2011 at 3:21 PM ^
dong photos...either way, not a good idea
September 19th, 2011 at 5:23 PM ^
Both photos would be bad, unless it is a dong which must be seen to be believed.
September 19th, 2011 at 7:30 PM ^
Wait what?
September 20th, 2011 at 11:11 AM ^
If it is a dong that must be seen to be believed, then, quite frankly, I definitely don't want to see it.
September 20th, 2011 at 1:47 PM ^
and i definitely don't want to believe in it
September 19th, 2011 at 8:09 PM ^
I second this, he had less than 10 pts if I remember, probably did not know the protocol. Heck if I had not read two weeks ago the LB did not want his name associated with _______Awesomeness, I might have made a similar mistake.
September 19th, 2011 at 3:18 PM ^
If this is indeed what happened, I hope the offending user didn't get permabanned. While I probably would have hesitated in doing this, it seems as if this was something meant to be good in nature that got carried away, much like the Lloyd Brady meme in the first place.
That being said, I'm stupid for having my name in my username. Oh well, none of you crazy people better get any ideas...
September 19th, 2011 at 3:22 PM ^
I would have never known your name actually was your name. To me it looked like a bunch of random letters until you pointed it out.
September 19th, 2011 at 3:29 PM ^
Because Bwgrudt Smith is a pretty common name. I mean, there's at least 1,484 of them on this site.
September 19th, 2011 at 3:31 PM ^
from the old country
September 19th, 2011 at 3:57 PM ^
He comes from a long and proud line of Bwgrudts, such as Bwgrudt the 1412th who played a key role in the sack of Rome.
September 19th, 2011 at 6:26 PM ^
As you can tell by my name (it's French, of course), we have had a running feud with the Bwgrudts for generations. I am willing, however, to let bygones be bygones.

I'm stupid for having my name in my username.
Maybe. Maybe not. I always post with some variant of my "real name". I often have my signature linked to my "real life site". It reminds me to avoid saying things I would not want my mother to read.
(And yes, she is in my facebook circle, too.)

Or did he search it out and include it? Because while asshatty either way, putting stuff up on Facebook is hardly an attempt at keeping your privacy....
September 19th, 2011 at 3:22 PM ^
I know "Lloyd Brady" his name is Lloyd Brady, this is his Facebook. I played sports with Lloyd Brady growing up and he graduated from Lloyd Brady Central HS.
September 19th, 2011 at 3:28 PM ^
i mean half of those facts seem made up... like you were just putting a fake name in for everything.
September 19th, 2011 at 4:17 PM ^
Seems legit
September 19th, 2011 at 6:03 PM ^
home of the fighting lloyd bradys.
September 19th, 2011 at 3:20 PM ^
Wait....Lloyd Brady has another name....I call BS.
September 19th, 2011 at 3:21 PM ^
craig james
September 19th, 2011 at 3:42 PM ^
because there was a rumor that CRAIG JAMES KILLED FIVE HOOKERS WHILE AT SMU and although that rumor is unfounded, he had his name changed to Lloyd Brady in order to avoid scandal

What about referencing Bkfinest when guarunteeing ridiculous things? I vote yes to that.

i'm not trying to bash or even be a dick - my point was solely the fact his post seems self-gratifying BECAUSE URTEHLAYINDOWNTHALAWWWWW. hell, as i acknowledged elsewhere, i prob did the same thing. but i also got bitchslapped for it rather publicly. i think i was way more enjoyable as a mod when i didn't note what rules could get people in trouble, etc, and just, you know, did it. with a post like this, it would need to have happened 8-10x. if it was one dumb person, edit/delete the content and make a note on the original thread. but this post just screamed how YOUCARRYTEHBIGSTIX
i successfully put two lolcat comments into this response. i win at nothing.

Did you know he donated through Beveled Guilt? He's an asshole and probably someone you'd want to punch in the face after 5 minutes of meeting him. I thought you were a dick as a mod but I'd take you over profit any day of the week. Self gratification is his MO. He looks in a mirror when he jerks off.

I'm kind of joking. The other part that nobody has stated is that Brian was trying to out McFarlin a couple years ago. Anyway, you could have done this in a different way so you didn't seem like a prick. My comments are extremly rude but I realize that. I don't think you realize what you're posting at times and how you come off. I don't really care who the mods are but you seem like you want everyone to know you're one and that you have power over them. Just make sure people don't flame and ban the ones that do it constantly. What other kind of responsibilities are there?
