Schefter tweeted same thing. Good luck to him!
Schefter is cool, I love catching the references to Michigan he occasionally drops on sportscenter and elsewhere.
I always see the Michigan helmet on his bookshelf during interviews on ESPN, and have always wondered.
EDIT: Woooo 1000 points! Do you guys think I'm super cool now? Do I get my invite to the super secret club?
Yeah, he went to Michigan and covered sports for The Daily (along with Rich Eisen, although I'm not sure if they were both at UofM at the same time). And congrats on 1,000 points!
Points are directly related to the legnth of my penis, and it just got a little bigger.
Thanks for the info, I didn't know that. I have always liked him, and I guess I know why now!
You're breaking the rules...
There's any real penalty anymore. It is the Nam now around here.
I'll start laying down tripwires and claymores.
Well then....
That's definitely an "Achievement Unlocked" moment. We'll start talking about club invites once you get closer to 10,000 :-)
Damn, I need to start posting more. I want friends.
I've missed Stevie B a lot the past couple of years with the issues with punt/kick returns.
My TV has heard far too much of "HOLD ON TO THE DAMNED BALL!"
He would have looked great in Honolulu blue!
but WR is the least of our conerns
Not sure if I would've picked the Chefs, but this is the deal that will make him rich. Nice work, Steve.
But I've been happy with the direction the team is going and their drafts recently. While I don't think I'll see them in the post-season this year, it gives me more incentive to watch... not that I need too much, but this still helps.
Arizona's OC during their Superbowl year? I'd bet that plays into the thinking on both sides
he could have ended up playing for the Cheifs or something...
1. They don't have a very strong WR corps - he'll get a chance to contribute immediately.
2. He's reunited with Todd Haley, with whom he had a 1000-yard season and went to the Super Bowl.
3. Haley has expressed a need for a guy to catch short passes and break tackles - both Bowe and Baldwin are downfield guys. Dexter McCluster was drafted to be that guy, but was too inconsistent. That role is a perfect fit for Breaston's skill set.
Thats great but who are the Chefs?
was thinking the same thing. Maybe he really like BBQ?
The Food Network has way too much money these days.
David Baas joined my Giants today to be our new center.
He'll have a nice partner in David Bowe. The Chef's have about as much chance of winning the superbowl this year as the Panthers though.
I believe it's Dwayne Bowe, not David. Maybe David Bowe plays for the Chefs.
Been doing these HR and Professional Behavior 30 minute power points all day. Was just a little bit Under Pressure and all the names got mixed up.
^I think I'm way funnier than you guys probably do.
I think you mean Dwayne Bowe. I'm a Lions fan, but I was hoping to see Breaston, Mike Hart, and Braylon sign with the Dolphins.
Are going after Kyle Orton. And since they just brought in Brandon Marshall I doubt they will be going after Breaston or Braylon
David Bowe... he of the most awkward end zone dance EVER
how I would dance if I ever scored a touchdown. Or maybe this.
I'm also reading that Dorrestein signed a contract with the Jets
Congrats to both
Is Donovan Warren still with the Jets? I remember seeing him on Hard Knocks after he went undrafted but I haven't heard much of him since.
he got cut from the practice squad last year. Not sure what's happened since then.
donovan warren is now with the steelers. seems like a good place for him. http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/13664/donovan-warren
Thanks for the info! I was rather surprised no one jumped on him for at least something short term.
We signed him to a future (ie, this year) contract last year towards the end of the year.
Steavie in KC makes KC Wolve happy.
Yep. I moved to KC a couple of years ago. This gives me a good reason to check out a couple of games this year!
I miss that return threat he provided every time he touched the ball.
Me too. Although Stonum wasn't so bad either. What I really miss is the Punt return game.
Very good pro receiver. I think he'll do well even without Fitzgerald opposite him.
Stevie B has one of the stranger career arcs I've ever seen. As a redshirt freshman, he looked like he would be our best wide receiver immediately. He was new to the position, yet in September 2003 he looked like he could do everything, not just in the return game but also with route-running, hands and concentration. He was a natural.
Then he spent most of his last three seasons at Michigan on offense looking like a one-dimensional mutt who could do little on offense besides take reverses and catch screens, going for YAC. It was baffling.
He gets to the league and - BOOM - those receiver skills are back and he's tracking the ball in the air, making catches over the middle, etc.
Todd Haley coached him in Arizona, so this is not much of a surprise. Also, Arizona has a lot of questions on offense.

Always gave 100% and was exactly what you wanted as a punt returner sure hands, good decision making and break away speed, some punt returners have 1 or 2 of those but Breaston had all 3.
It has been cool watching him develop into a very good receiver in the pros.
Good for him! It's probably going to be a little harder playing without Larry Fitzgerald on the other side, but Cassel is a better approximation of a QB than Derek Anderson and whatever else they threw out there last year and most importantly he's getting paid, which I was always skeptical of when he was in college and am very glad is happening.
I love to watch Breaston pick a gap and go but unfortuantely I think he will just be a receiver for the chiefs. They have McCluster and Arenas (r) as their returners right now. I do think he will be a nice compliment to Bowe though. Best of luck to a damn fine Wolverine!
I do not have enough points to create a new thread...
However, I have read that the Detroit Lions are very close to signing Justin Durant...athletic OLB from Jax Jaguars...I like the pick up but he struggles to stay healthy...hopefully he excels with the Lions....

Supposedly we were close to landing MLB Tulloch from Titans as well. May be out of reach now.
Hopefully we can resign Houston and land another good CB...hopefully Joseph
