I guess, not knowing the total context of the Nick B. interview, that Coach McElwain is just being honest and knows his role on the M coaching staff. As they say, “ lead, follow or get out of the way.” Would hope he provides more input, as Coach Mac’s Michigan track record develops in a positive way on passing downs. Play calling aside, would think his experience and perspective could help the offense get stronger and equal more receptions, TDs and wins. Go Blue!
Agree & for our players confidence, they need to feel our positive support. We have to have their backs. I’ll be at the game with lots of friends & family vs WMU ... cheering on the Maize n Blue! Hope the Big H is rocking because of TDSs and cheers. I love Michigan Football and expect great strides from last Saturday. Hate to see the negative but the time is now to start shining. Go Blue
Agree...need to make a great showing ao win on 9/1. Hoping we practice in the Big House with the lights on. Seeing passes downfield Going Blue all the way.
I think it’s a solid school, beautiful campus and apartment they lived in together. They both have thrived out of school in their careers with biz degrees! No go green go white from them ... they knew better and loved Chuck Martin while he was football coach.
Think the pros are:
Experienced play caller
Knows SEC and, more importantly, Bama’s system - what’s that intel worth?
Senior already in OC role for college ranks, natural to lead 2 others, that make a lot of pesos, but Jim’s will be shared between 2 unis
To get back to P5 HC, a “natty” would be in order - Indy or just the playoffs will not be enough
Helps Roundtree and other GAs
Cons:
Recruiting, oh well - coach just got 2 more that’ll be road warriors, need a good play caller, as well
Short UM shelf life - well, get us the hardware first
Maybe he can “close” on some southern - Florida recruits? Maybe not
Likes ocean fish, oh well - shark meat is coarse and one has to have an acquired taste
Nuss-we’ve been there and saw what happened to 2 of our beloved-guilty by association
Go Blue!

A proven OC. His problem at UF, like ours, was missing strong support coaching staff. Surround yourself with the best experience and talent you can get. Minimize weaknesses. More Florida athletes are what we need. Match great talent with great coaching, then look out!
Ms. Edie, Connie & Raymond Marble, plus Crackers utterly disturbing. “Beyond disturbing” is the one and only Divine = outrageously unforgettable, even over movies and characters in Eraserhead and Harold & Maude
Some people need to held accountable, to the full letter of the law. Loosing a state position ie employment, is nothing. White collar crime, of this magnitude, should = prison time.
These leaders-gatekeepers are highly intelligent, college-educated people - who put their head in the sand!
Absolutely a horror!
So sad for the victims and their loved ones.
Justice must prevail.
This is no warmed up oatmeal! It’s time to get this travesty out in the open for true justice! Too many women have suffered and are scarred for life. The enablers have a moral price to pay.
Nice resume. Great recruiter. Let’s keep the state of Michigan’s best players home. Need coach Devin Bush Sr., for Florida. SEC look out...Big Ten’s sleeping giant is getting up to strike hard with stamina.
We have strong connections in Texas (it appears), Jersey, the Northeast, Georgia and Florida.
Having Devin Sr., with Don Brown as a DC seems like a great match!
Good luck! Go Blue!
You have brought back to us respectability for the University of Michigan football program. You have done everything, so far, the right way. Our players reflect you and soon they will bring us that little extra on the field that will quiet the critics down. We will reap what we sow. The players are already doing it in the classroom and in community. No majors in eligibility - love it! Enjoy your day! Thanks for coming home and being you - True Blue. Go Blue!
As we all know, there is a national climate that has “zero tolerance” in sexual harassment, past or present. The emotional scars and lifelong trauma is something that will never go away for the victims. My prayers go to them and to their loved ones who hurt, as well. Sadly, using the mask of being a doctor at MSU to help patients / student athletes and, instead, being a selfish sexual predator is a travesty!
Accordingly, my daughters will never go to MSU - the gatekeepers of my most precious loved ones will go for higher education where they will safe, sound and allowed to learn in a culture devoid of fear and masks. MSU has failed and the only way forward are “new guardians” of safe harbor, that have integrity = “Doing what’s right, when no one is looking.” The country is looking now at Sparty and rationalizations are what MSU values, it appears, not its students - past, present or future. The Big Ten needs to boot a couple schools out of the conference and the people in leadership that feel asleep on the watch.
What you remind me most of is your ability to scramble and find the open receiver like our-your new Coach,
Captain Comeback II! Plus you got the moxie to go with it.
Go Blue!
Would love to put 50 on the Bucks next year. Want to see the team go to Indy, see the Coach’s name on the Ring of Honor in person! Wanna have Delaney hand us the trophy and then drink some Dr. Pepper! Wanna see us beat Bama real good! Shut Saban and Pete up for good. Need a winner drivin’ the bus, plus have back-ups. Want to see Coach Jack celebrate with us as Nat’l Champs! Why not? Go Blue!
It’s our turn for the ball to bounce our way
The calls to go our way
The sun to shine maize and the sky to be blue
The next Big Ten team in the playoffs...us.... next year

He sure seems like has paid his dues, has been a good team player and is deserving of some good karma. I’m rooting for you John and have faith in your leadership abilities and skill. Go Blue!
game day - evening ... hoping we have held back something for this game. Would have to think with this staff, knowing this was a Red Letter Day that we have something in reserve. I believe in Coach and think we will give them a game. The good weather and being underdogs can only help!
Go Blue!
Reasons:
Night game and our fans will be up! It’ll be loud!
Coach has saved some of the playbook, just like he is for PSU
The defense will remind lewerke of what we did to him last year - ouch!
Our running game will be strong - everyone healthy
Whoever is under center ... our long pass game will get a TD or 2
Sparty can’t run the ball ... blitz time!
“39 to 10” - Go Big Blue!
Coach is in the Ring of Honor and is loved by the state. Denying obvious acts about targeting and facilities makes one question integrity and sportsmanship about the proram's future. Acting versus reality. Hostility versus competitiveness. Glad we have what we got - no trickery here. Alienating Hoosiers does not help in-state recruiting and their AD wants magic pills vs. a true foundation. Tom Crean wins round 2, in a way.
Wilton was always nimble and had good mobility, in my viewer opinion, last year. Could the dramatic weight loss, although controlled by the Michigan athletic staff affect muscles, etc. again, a millimeter here or there can make a difference - Like a golfer adjusting his-her swing. Mechanics could have changed - instincts now become thinking about the swing or pass. Something changed from Iowa onwards last year and it's not his "drive," commitment or skill. Want the best QB under center and trust Coach Harbsugh! Like a wilt be class ... Any thoughts?

Everett Golson - was quite the QB, as we all remember - ND does get good players - coaching has a bit to be desired .... Malik Zaire was Everett's back-up.
We should be focused - who is repping dual threat QB role for us in Camp? John O'Korn? Reason for reps with number one offense? Im sure we'll be ready, but now Florida can really play the underdog role.

Spartans Will!
Engler did not help matters much with his recent comments about the 10K Sparty fine.
Very well said ... if rain is in the forecast, then it will be a slugfest! Go Blue!!!

A total class man and a great coach. You and your family are in my prayers. God Bless.
