Well this will probably be the last start he ever makes in competitive football. Its not likely at all but maybe he has the game of his life somewhere in there and the defense chips in with a couple scores. I'll be rooting for John O'Korn regardless.

  • Some instances of the concussion protocol > 1 week
  • Peters' concussion was on the more severe side

Therefore...

Now, I'm not a doctor, and perhaps the correlation between severity of the concussion and the length of time to clear concussion symptoms is not as strong as a layman would assume.  I don't know.  I'm a layman.  But still, I'd bet the relationship exists.  To what extent, I don't know.

Peters' safety/health is the first priority.

May be true but likely an assumption. He wouldn’t be “in the know”. Has as much weight as me saying Peters is starting. Go Blue! Beat the Buckeyes.....regardless of who is QB

This is absolutely the right decision.

Peters has suffered at least 2 blows to his head in the last few weeks, and has suffered at least 1 concussion.  He needs time to heal.  This is best for him in the long run, and the best for Michigan football in the long run.  Another head bump today could literally end Peters' career.

Good decision by the medical staff and Jim Harbaugh.
