33 weeks 2 days ago	Wow, I can't believe they still do that!	I spent a summer in Atlanta in the 80's and remember seeing that.  I also remember the golf course at Stone Mountain, which if I remember right, was pretty fun.  Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

1 year 6 hours ago	jmdblue, I appreciate your	jmdblue, I appreciate your honest effort at an evaluation.  I can't do the same.  I've disliked this guy from the beginning (way before the M piece) simply because he comes across as very amateur-ish.  The M piece was just the icing on the cake.  Does he deserve to go to SI?  Who knows.  I'm just glad he's going anywhere.

1 year 5 weeks ago	I agree with the comments of	I agree with the comments of those suggesting that the West is going to be a beast to get through.  While Phoenix may be the only team in the top 6 without a chance to come out of the west, San Jose at 7 certainly has a chance.  I also completely agree with those stating the importance of a healthy Helm.  In fact, the health of many Wings will affect our chances.  While many are back, they simply are not healthy.  Helm's knee, Cleary's knee and Howard's groin are all concerns, IMO.  Being healthy enough to dress and being truly healthy are two very different things.  Btw, thanks to goblueram for setting up the MGoBlog challenge bracket!  Go Wings!

1 year 7 weeks ago	I loved the film of this	I loved the film of this kid.  I see what you're saying about not being explosive but he is square to his guy on every block and appears "county boy strong".  He seems like a kid that will never be a 10 but will always be an 8.  The first play set up the whole tape - he tossed his guy aside like a rag doll.  Definitely will be interested in seeing how he progresses physically.

1 year 7 weeks ago	I don't know that what I'm	I don't know that what I'm about to say is much different than what many have already said but seriously, I always enjoyed your posts.  There's a lot of pissing and moaning from time to time, but you're one of the few posters from an enemy camp that was always respectful and seemed to truly have his ear to the ground.  I don't know where the backlash is coming from or to what level, but I hope you brush it aside and continue on.  If not, it's been a joy reading your material.

1 year 7 weeks ago	I agree with Michfan4borw,	I agree with Michfan4borw, myblueheaven and others that have indicated any players right to pursue their life after college.  I, like most here, am fairly fanatical about my support for M and would hate to see Burke go.  However, we have to keep in mind that he, like all of us, are going down the road that we believe leads to the life we want to live.  The difference with athletes is that during their "preparation" for life, they also face injury risks that can end their dream in an instant.  In many cases, these athletes are the best hope for a better life for a whole family as well.  At this point, Burke is only exploring options and evaluating opportunities.  While I would hate to see him go and think it would be a mistake, I have NO problem with him trying to make an intelligent decision that is in the best interests of him and his family.  Finallly, lets keep in mind that he has worked his ass off to become what he is this year and by extension, brought a lot of us a ton of joy and pride in what M accomplished this year.

1 year 9 weeks ago	Thanks Magnus.  It's ironic	Thanks Magnus.  It's ironic you posted this as I've been wondering how a guy like him feels in light of Shallman and all the talk about back recruiting.  I wondered how he might see the fullback position and his role as such.  It sure seems clear that he understands the role and embraces it.  Love his comment about not being scared of anyone.  He sounds like a "search and destroy" guy.  Thanks again.

1 year 11 weeks ago	I love the LB's.  Admittedly,	I love the LB's.  Admittedly, I don't know enough about Bars to truly compare the OL guys collectively, but I love the Kalis, Mags, Braden trio!  Obviously, the 13' OL group is stellar but I'm just as excited to see how their being here pushes the 12' OL group.  Watching this is going to be fun!

1 year 11 weeks ago	He may not be as strong as	He may not be as strong as some others, but I'm pretty sure he's strong enough to knock a ball out of the air.  Not suggesting strength isn't an asset in the defensive backfield but I'll take 4.25 speed anytime.  I admittedly am not aware of whether he's had any difficulties off the field since being in college but if not, I really hope he gets a shot somewhere.  In the meanwhile, can I just say that while it wasn't 8 commits this weekend, it has still been another strong weekend.  Go Blue!
1 year 12 weeks ago	I have no problem with their	I have no problem with their Ohio-edge thinking.  I'm not saying I hope they have awesome teams but this whole rivalry became what it is because they were mostly classic battles between two highly ranked teams.  Don't get me wrong, I won't have a problem if they're weak and we strung a few together just to stick it in their face but mostly, I look forward to winning epic battles with them.  That would be legen. . .wait for it. . .
1 year 12 weeks ago	I completely agree.  This is	I completely agree.  This is the first time I'd seen anyone state that Morris could be the #3 in 13'.  I love everything about this kid but I just don't expect him to be ready day 1.  I also think people forget how highly rated Gardner was coming in.  If D-Rob hadn't come to M, I suspect we'd be very happy with Gardner.  I think he has a chance to be very solid, a great leader and great mentor for Morris.  If so, we've got the best of both worlds.

Talk about branding!  As this guy states, we don't even have the block "M" on our helmets and still people know it's Michigan.  Dave Brandon is somewhere smiling!

1 year 12 weeks ago	I have to admit, I never	I have to admit, I never quite understood the negativity regarding Dave Brandon.  I have watched his career for about the last 15 years and am constantly amazed at his ability to find a happy medium between maintaining a culture while keeping the entity not only competitive, but a leader, in a changing world.  If I had my way, the world wouldn't require Michigan to change and we could always stay in 70's power mode. But that's not the real world.  The simple truth is the guy gets it and stays in the forefront of required change.  Doing so means he's doing things before most people have had time to allow it to become part of their cultural comfort zone and therefore is uncomfortable.  Doesn't mean its wrong.  In fact, I find when it comes to Brandon, he's right an amazing amount of the time.  I for one am a fan.  GO BLUE!
