Michigan in the Ultimate Frisbee College Championship tournament this weekend
https://play.usaultimate.org/events/2023-USA-Ultimate-College-Championships/schedule/Men/CollegeMen/
Michigan plays in this tournament this weekend in Mason, OH (near Cincinnati). They are seeded 19 out of 20. Their first game is vs Carlton College on Friday 10:30 AM
The only reason I know is because my nephew plays for Washington
The rosters are funny in that some people list their year as "elementary school" and heights will vary from 1 foot to 8 feet tall
Nineteenth out of twenty is unacceptable. Throw some NIL money their way!
Hash Bash's diminished popularity has deprived the program of one of their historically most successful recruiting events.
Michigan HAS to win this!! Otherwise my Spartan friends will be lording their dodgeball national championship over me all summer.
Love to see it. Both my brother and one of my close friends played for MagnUM and went to the tournament, so it's great to see the program is still going strong.
Carlton, you say...?
Swiiiirrrllly
Hopefully another championship this year.
Go Blue!
FROLF, baby.
I'll pack my Birkenstocks and a freshly rolled blunt

Go Blue!
Sweet! Does this get us closer to beating Stanford in the Director's Cup?
Congrats to all of the DMB and 311 fans. /s
Honestly, I really liked playing ultimate in college so congrats to them; it's a demanding sport.
I would occasionally play pickup in the Arb. The sport has changed so much since then, and so did I. I ended up forming a competitive club team in Argentina and even played for the national team. I’m sure that MagnUM is at an entirely different level.
Go Blue!
Dumb post deleted. Sorry.
I was the Commissioner of the pro league (AUDL) for years and owned the Chicago Wildfire (now Chicago Union). Loved every second of it and had several MagnUM players on our team. Great guys, great players. I wasn't there when this happened, but Jim Harbaugh stopped by a MagnUM practice in either 2015 or 2016 and I'm told spent over an hour with the guys. I loved that.
So cool! I love following the AUDL, had no idea an MGoBlogger was a force behind it! Love the Harbaugh story too!
Thanks Davy, I loved my days in the AUDL and still am a rabid supporter of the league. Always love hearing about people that support the league and the sport! And as always, GO BLUE!!
I run a super fun twice-weekly pickup game near Downtown L.A. (Weds PM and Sat AM). GREAT group of people, including some Michigan folks, we are vaguely competitive but mellow. Anyone interested, reply here or drop me a line! Davy [dot] Rothbart [at] Gmail
Very cool. We got a couple here in San Diego too.
Nice! We should organize a weekend game and have y'all come on up here...
Actually now that I read you played for Magnum... haha we are not at that level. But drop a line when you're in LA and come toss with us
Time to unleash our ringer. 100% effort every play.
I tried out for MagnUM my freshman year. Didn't end up making the team, but had a great time at tryouts.
Did you at least learn the Magnum drinking game?
This is not news. I played for Magnum for three years and we were at Nationals every year. We didn't make it past the semis but don't think we were ever ranked as low as 19th coming in.
you're fun at parties i bet
It’s not how tall you are.. it’s how tall you play…
Remember, it doesn’t really matter where the disc is… it’s where it’s going to be that matters.
Go Blue!
Looks like Michigan pulled off an upset win in its first match in pool play over Carlton (not that Carlton)
No, Michigan lost 13-14. Also I spelled Carleton wrong in the post.
My mistake. I checked the score before the end of the game and I thought it was a final result. I'm impressed that the site has in-game live score reporting.
Still funny assume that we need to avoid confusion between Alfonso Ribeiro and the college regardless of the spelling.
