the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

| 2 days 7 hours ago | I know that we have all |
I know that we have all assumed for awhile (quite long when you consider he is still in a high school class right now!) that Shane Morris is THE FUTURE of the QB position in Ann Arbor. Although I very much hope that is the case the more I see & read about Speight makes it seem as though he could really push Morris or maybe...MAYBE...compete to take the starting job. |

Yeah there was actually an article in a beer publication recently about best beer cities & neither Florida nor Nashville is anywhere on the list. Portland,Boston, Boulder, Philly...those are beer towns (& Michigan has 2 fantastic breweries) |
| 4 days 6 hours ago | Injection |
I also work in ortho and respectfully disagree with the above poster. I've seen over half of people have full resolution with an injection. I do agree that meds (NSAIDs) aren't useful here. An injection to the area could also be a quick fix and if it doesn't work surgery remains an option. |
| 2 weeks 2 days ago | There is some good advice |
There is some good advice above, but let me break it down. -your hydrocodone dose is either 5, 7.5, or 10mg. It would be safe to take another 3 hours apart one time. The issue with taking too much of this medication would be respiratory depression (it'd be helpful if you had someone with you to ensure your breathing does not become labored or slow). It can also cause other side effects like itching and nausea (as well as constipation), but those aren't neccessarily dangerous -the 500 you refer to is the Tylenol (acetaminophen). This is VERY IMPORTANT. Do NOT take more than 8 tabs (4000mg/4g) in one 24 hour period. You could go into liver failure. Also, obviously do not drink alcohol If you are taking the medicine as prescribed after surgery and still in significant pain, a change of medicine could be in order. Oxycodone (when mixed with tylenol is known as percocet) is a stronger medicine. EDIT: After reading the above, looks like all info was at one point or another covered, but I wanted to get some advice out and this info seemed to be spread across multiple posts. |

| 2 weeks 6 days ago | I love the fact you made this |
I love the fact you made this mistake. This is the Bball poll. They are also top-10 in the Fball poll. I LOVE THIS. Top 10 in both sports. This is real. This is a thing. |
| 2 weeks 6 days ago | Yeah but...5??? That's not |
Yeah but...5??? That's not really a night game. Not sure I understand the late afternoon/evening kickoff idea But I personally like it as I am going to try to go to the game & this will make it easier to get home w/o having to get a hotel |

Welcome to the fam JBB! Look at his size! At least he'll have enough room for his full last name on the back of the jersey |

Read WAY too quickly. Thought this was a basketball poll and thought "what the hell is Alabama doing here!" PS I LOVE that seeing U-M in the top 10 in Fball AND Bball is real |

| 2 weeks 6 days ago | Thank you for bringing this |
Thank you for bringing this up. I didn't know much about him from a professional basketball player standpoint (my interest in the NBA declined with the Pistons performance). It is an interesting thought experiment (we will for obvious reasons never know) if he would have been re-signed WITHOUT coming out, but now will be interesting to see if he does get picked up by a team. It looks like he has bounced around teams and as Butterfield points out, has been minimally effective recently. This is about when teams just stop signing guys like this. But let's throw this out there just for fun on an off-season Monday: Any chance a team would want to add him BECAUSE he came out? Be seen as super tolerant/politically-correct-to-the-max? Sounds odd but stranger things have happened. Thoughts? PS My idealistic semi-political statement is that I wish he would signed or not signed based ONLY on his past and potential basketball production...and maybe that will be the case. |

Nice try but this is exactly the road that starts down a political discussion. So I will stop right... EDIT: reply to Section 1 |

| 3 weeks 4 days ago | at first I thought the middle |
at first I thought the middle jersey in the bottom picture was a Miami alternate & then I realized it is a Jags home jersey/alternate. I like that one for the Jags (wouldn't have made sense for Miami with all that black) |

This was my 1st thought when I saw them. Not like/dislike look of them, but whoever thinks all Black for a Florida home game is a good idea needs to be fired. (now on to the looks part...looks OK but I've never liked same color jersey & pants) |

Self-imposed sanctions. The NCAA did not hand the wins being vacated (to my understanding...but I've been wrong before) I don't think OSU has heard of your rule... |

| 6 weeks 2 days ago | ^^^This^^^ is a very good |
^^^This^^^ is a very good point. When this was happening the NJ Governor (you may remember him from Hurrican Sandy & SNL & his Hoke-likeness) was proposing a massive overhaul & reorganization of the state universities of NJ (including adding & eliminating schools from Rutgers' system). This is not to say that the president shouldn't be cognizant of things that could be harmful to his university and its representatives*, but if your AD notifies you that there is a situation with the basketball coach and you are taking action to correct poor behavior, that should be enough. For the president himself to be throwing himself into an investigation amounts to micro-managing. We can certainly debate if the AD actually handled the situation appropriately, but from the president's standpoint you have to trust your AD to handle a situation like this within the athletic department. *Since people are comparing this to the PSU scandal, I would hate for someone to have hidden behind any form of a "I'm too busy with something else to handle child molestation" argument. (Edit-Directly below me U-M/VA fan did a good job making this point in a sarcastic way) |

Interesting point, but Oden's career was more non-existant than "extraordinarily average" |
| 6 weeks 2 days ago | I couldn't agree more with |
I couldn't agree more with this statement. One of the first things I thought about (considering we knew no one was seriously hurt) was if someone at ESPN had an axe to grind with Rice because they seemed like they were actively trying to get him fired. |
| 6 weeks 2 days ago | Suspending & fining =/= |
Suspending & fining =/= sweeping under rug. I understand if you feel it was too little (I personally think it was an appropriate effort to try to eliminate the behavior) but it was certainly more than doing nothing (AKA Penn State) |
