This is getting insane, if nobody stops it, I believe that it will get to the point where the SEC just says to NCAA "look, we make you a very large sum of money, we are going to do things our way or kiss us goodbye".
Not sure why anybody thinks that we should or would be able to compete with teams at schools that operate like this. Sure our record indicates that we totally do but things have changed in recent years regarding stuff like this. The funny thing is that college football is the only legitimate business where participants are expected to act like it isn't. And yet, we scoff at those (SEC) that refuse that doctrine.
because they will always be associated with the program in peoples minds. Whether or not RichRod finds success at Arizona will weigh on the scales of how history judges aspects of his tenure at Michigan. This is unavoidable and just because some people want to sweep it under the rug does not mean that it should be done.
Can't say I blame anybody for wanting to forget that debocle. It's also possible that at some level coaches and players rationalize the loss to themselves as them already having gave up on the coaching staff. In that case, they just threw in the towl and called it a day.
I derive little to no intrinsic benefit from "doing the right thing" simply for the sake of doing it. I suppose some people do, maybe I'm a sociopath. I get no rush from helping people, or team building or any of that bullshit. Maybe I wan't hugged enough as a child. Oh well, so be it.
People dont want to admit it, but everybody has their price. If the price for becoming the most dominant program in the world is to run it fast and loose. So long as we don't get caught I'm cool with it. Fuck, it's better than losing.
some doctors do them as part of the physical but many do not. Suprising that it wouldn't occur as part of a physical at a big D-1 program like this. I would think that they would go as far as to conduct MRI's and pysical stress tests along with everything else but apparently that isn't the case. A damn shame.
A lot of the short term thinking we see in the world is a direct result of self preservation motivators which lead one to the "well, the next generation can deal with this problem" mentalitiy. If only we were elves and lived forever we could make better long-term decisions with sustainability in mind. Fucking JoePa and his selfish thinking. Hopefully he dies in peace.
Which one of you fuckers came up with this? What would lead your twisted sick mind to compare the name "Kirk Cousins" to "Kork Coupons"? Hilarious and awesome.
This will prove to be for the best in retrospect. Mich rather have Jehu, who will bleed maize and blue. Come on down Jehu, come and be a part of this awesome tradition.
So what if LSU has such a dominant defense, they have no less than 9 guys on that defense projected to be drafted into the NFl either this year or next year. Mattison took a bunch of dentists, computer scientists, and pace-maker salesmen, and 2 future NFLers and turned them into a Michigan Defense. Fucking SEC bullshit
I feel a personal need for Hoke to steal a recruit not just from Ohio but from Urban Meyer's Ohio. This may be just one recruit but for Hoke to steal one of their crown jewel's after the Meyer hire sends the message that the fence is down and it's not coming back up.
Let's be honest with ourselves. Great rivalries aren't born of kindness and mutual respect, they are born of hatred and anger stemming from past slights and treacherous behaviors. Kindness and respect don't really lead to that place.
All but the claim of the 2008 team can be directly associated with actions by people associated with Michigan. More importantly, none of them should have come to pass. it's not hard to imagine a world where those things hadn't happened.
Carr loved Michigan, but only his version of it. All I know is that it seems that he did a few things that he knew would undermine the program in the name of preserving his version of Michigan and it hurt.
Michigan ranks higher for its grad program perhaps. I think this is really the only hope since Michigan tends to be ranked higher for the marquee grad programs than it is for undergrad. I mean it's barely in the top 20 for undergrad but for grad it's got top 5-10 rankings in all the glamore programs.
The Michigan fan base has the se super high expectations but any more you can't live up to those expectation levels unless you bend and break rules. It's a fact of life especially when everybody else is doing it. I know people want to be able to be the exception and proudly point to their Michigan program that somehow finds a way to win and do it clean but with the Monster programs in the SEC running things the way they do it's just not possible to do. Your best bet is to either augment expectations downwards or accept that you're football program won't be squeeky clean.
Lloyed Carr proved himself a fake Michigan Man when he put his own interests ahead of the program by hiring an outsider over Miles, the rightful successor of the program.
I have three jerseys a Probert, Coffey, and Zetterberg. Interestingly enough I find that the Coffey gets me the most props when I'm going to games, at the bar, or just on the street.
EDIT: Not that he's retired yet, but I think Lidstrom is the exception to my rule.
All these idiots and their lust for schadenfreude came running to it in hopes that Pryor was actually injured. Because that's just how classy they all are. Keep em coming.
Your ingredient however, are not good. Regardless of what recruiting sites say. Hence, the fact that MSU has better ingredients limiting the cook (your coach). Thus, you are seeing irony that doesn't actually exist.
I once tried to bake a cake with some generic ingredients. It was not good. Then my sister, who is an award winning pastery chef, cooked a cake with the same ingredients, it was much better than mine. My other friends from the neighborhood concurred that not only was hers better than mine but better than any that their mom's could make either.
She then entered that cake into a competition against other good pastry chefs baking cakes with similar ingredients. Her cake, which we thought was so good, was swiftly cut down when put against the cakes of the other pastry chefs.
The moral of the story is, a master can do much more with the same ingredients than can a novice, but at the end of the day, it takes more than just good chef work to win a cake competition
This will be a result of the superior defense of Michigan State along with their excellent offensive capabilities. Also, the Michigan State coach is very good at his job and actually has a historical performance of 3-1 against the Michigan Wolverines,

Come at me, bro.
Our university is fine. You have a personal issue. Have fun in therapy, retard.
He's a spazzy fucking moron who needs to settle it down.
Sorry bro, but thew Spartans are the big boys in this game not the other way around. And right now, they are showing it.

Getting up to speed real quick here. I'm happy with your progress as a recruiting analyst.

Lots of otherwise fine student athletes are having issues with their grades, I'm sure it will happen again.

You're either very dumb or lying.

Such a bull shit team

The coaches are doing what is in the best interest of the school and the program. Get the best players you can but suffer no acts of disloyalty.

NORTH CAMPUS, release skynet battle bots on this voting thing and get it done.
Vote Coach Hoke OR DIE. Hoke is the finest coach in all the land. He is perfect in every way.
The best he can hope for is to have a solid combine, be invited to camp as an undrafter free agent somewhere, and suprise somebody.
Neato gang! Free Bowlz are the best!
Everybody tune in and listen to this bitch ass mutha fucka

Do it
We're all dumber for having read it.

I fear that going forward this will be less true

Why is he so disliked among the fanbase and alumni?

Your lack of respect as a fanbase shall continue to be me with annual beat downs and the next one comes tomorrow.
Worthy is legit, so is Gholston. MSU has an elite D-line and this is the best team the Spartans have fielded in a long, long time.
