I have seen and heard cowbell at hockey.
|6 weeks 3 days ago||There is a scholarship fund for this||
The Athletic Department has a fund for this, so kids who go to pursue athletics can come back and finish. I am assuming it is for kids who don't make a bajillion dollars in the pros.
|6 weeks 3 days ago||How do you get the cowbell in?||
My husband and I were just talking about this last night - when we wear coats it wouldn't be a problem but at a lot of games this year it was just shorts and t-shirts. Where would we hide it? We are seriously considering buying a cowbell for xmas.

Even if you don't sell on Stubhub, it's good to go through the listing process because you can see what tickets in your section have sold for and you get an idea of the going price. You will see the active listings and the sold listings (often the active listings are quite a bit pricier). I use Stubhub, the ticket spreadsheet and Craigslist to sell, but get my pricing from Stubhub.
|19 weeks 5 days ago||Well||
Ticket prices are really high on StubHub right now. I just sold 4 for PSU for $140 each (section 6, so not 50 yard line or anything fancy). I don't know if prices will go down or not, Michigan fans are crazy and as we keep winning the prices may go up.
|27 weeks 2 days ago||I have some available||
I have 10 tickets in section 1, rows 37,38 that I need to part with. Fair market value. Email me at maizemama1 at gmail.

Zamboni riders get a really stern talking to about throwing things on the ice. Both my kids have ridden the zamboni at intermission (back when allowed to wear shoes) and the people in charge of the ride and the drivers talk to the kids a lot about not listening to the students, don't throw anything, etc... So if your child really listens to authority figures, they will get a good talking to beforehand and they may be scared to throw anything. I told my kids not to throw the shoe, because if it got ruined, we would have to carry said child back to the car parked far away.

Would this be appropriate reading (ie, no swearing or sex) for a 13 year old who isn't allowed to read about swearing or sex. Trying to come up with a gift for a nephew who is crazy about Michigan.

Of course people sneak it in there, but it's not sold there. Remember for the Winter Classic and the Man U game, the legislature had to approve liquor sales.
|1 year 24 weeks ago||You can use StubHub||
I have sold my extras on Stub Hub this year and they have added a new feature in the pricing section; now when you click the help me price button it shows you the low, the mean and the high price for your section. I found that very useful and proceed most of my tickets around the mean and have sold them quickly. You don't actually have to list them on Stub Hub, but the pricing info is good to have.
|1 year 24 weeks ago||I was there as well||
And there was nothing earth shattering in what they said. Harbaugh did say he is as excited as if he was just being born. He also said they are going to be very quiet during training camp "like we are on a submarine" and to not be worried if we aren't hearing anything.
There were no donor kebabs, just chicken, mac n cheese and hot dogs.
|1 year 24 weeks ago||You have to be registered||
You have to sign the kids up, register and bring your confirmation email with you. So, if you're a single adult, I doubt you'll be allowed in. They are really clamping down: 1 item per person, no photos with athletes (slows the lines down).

There are many people, myself included, selling their tickets on the mgoblog ticket spreadsheet. Hopefully we are a trustworthy bunch.

The Lemony Snicket series, "A Series of Unfortunate Events" is good. My kids also enjoyed The World According to Humphrey series, about a classroom hamster that solves all the problems of his classroom kids in hamsterish ways.

I forgot about Kensington Metropark, which is right off the 23/96 interchange, so about 25 minutes north of A2. There are beaches, boat rentals and a farm center, but no life guards. I have only been there for non swimming activities, but it is nice. We really went to Independence Lake for beach time, when we needed a quick local beach day.
|1 year 26 weeks ago||Independence Lake||
My kids always liked Independence Lake, which is about 20-25 min northwest of A2. It is part of the Washtenaw County park system. There is a beach area with a life guard and a separate splash park area with water slides. It's not the nice west Michigan sand, but it's sand and there is a nice shallow swimming area. There is a picnic area that is shaded as well. I think there are beaches at the Brighton State Recreation Area, which is slightly farther north and part of the State Park system.
|1 year 28 weeks ago||Zip lines, ropes course||
There are 2 new zip line and ropes course places in the area - both part of the same franchise. One is in Frankenmuth and one in West Bloomfield. They are called the Adventure Park. Each one has different hours, so check before you go. Also, the Howell Nature Center has a ropes course and zip line, but you do need to call for reservations before hand.

When we were in DC recently, there was one titled "NSA Surveillance Van #3". So either someone is funny or the NSA isn't really sneaky about their surveillance.

And the past few years haven't? I rarely get excited to go to hockey anymore and we've held tickets for many years. Blah.

Stop making sense! I am so selfish! I want it back!
|1 year 42 weeks ago||So disappointed!||
I was suspecting that this was going to be cancelled as we usually registered in February. The longer we waited to hear, the more I thought it wouldn't happen. I was really excited this year and was ready to pay a steep price to get in, as I figured they would have to increase the price to keep attendance in hand. I will anxiously await the return of WFA, it was so much fun to meet the players and coaches and I hope we can do it again some day.

Do they check the pressure of all the balls after all the games? Maybe they should. Maybe it's happening and we don't know it. Could be an interesting study. I think the refs should be spot checking between quarters.
|2 years 3 days ago||People don't understand||
because of conflicting information. Some reports say that the balls provided by the home team (12 game balls plus 12 back ups) are used first. Then if those aren't good, they go to the visitors balls and that the refs have to report every time they use one of the visitors balls. So, who is right? The people who yell the loudest?
|2 years 5 days ago||I wonder||
How long of a field goal you could make with a helium filled ball? The more I think about this, the more I think I've seen a Mythbusters on this....But I can't remember how it turned out.
