Will Johnson also had a huge tackle on the perimeter off cover zero with no help whatsoever. I think it might have been late in the third. Reminded me of a similar call against TCU when we missed the tackle.
Yeah, this feels like a weird move. They have a deep bench of Gene Smith protégés, who surely would have kept the status quo and continued to cross out M’s. Feels to me like they just went for an AD with experience spending a lot of money.
To me, the problem with what they did was that they ran it out of the victory formation - thus, tricking the defense into not taking it seriously. if you're going to run it from the 1, don't line up like you're going to take a knee.
Personally, I don't care if a team runs up the score, their opponent is being paid to stop them regardless of how much time is left. But, they shouldn't be fake-kneeling to do so.
If anyone in your family has had an aortic aneurysm, then it’s recommended that you get screened - often with a MRI. If you’re a male over 50 with history of smoking, an abdominal ultrasound is recommended for screening for abdominal aortic aneurysms.
Those recommendations are to screen for aortic aneurysms, which are technically different from aortic dissections. There isn’t a recommended strategy for screening for primary prevention of aortic dissections that I’m aware of.
Georgia had 2 top-end QBs in this class. The other (Puglisi) actually had a better high school season this year than Raiola so I doubt they go looking for someone else.
That strategy makes some sense when you're starting with 2- and 3-star players (e.g., Colorado) and then recruiting better players. That strategy, at least to me, makes less sense when you're starting with 4- and 5-star players and trying to replace them with...?
I know it's been a popular opinion to feel FSU might have been an easy win for us. However, I'm not so sure that FSU would have been a much better matchup for us.
On offense, obviously FSU would be more limited without Jordan Travis. However, they've got some great wide receivers with tremendous length that would have made life difficult for our non-Will Johnson cornerbacks. They also have some solid tight ends that would challenge our linebackers. Our OSU defensive strategy of keeping two safeties backs would have been challenged by a stronger and more committed rushing attack.
On defense, FSU has pass rushers with the speed that we struggled with against PSU. They also have really good cornerbacks that could matchup with Roman and Cornelius.
Bottom line, I think any matchup at this point was going to be challenging so we'd need to bring our A game regardless of whether it was FSU or Alabama.
Also, they continue to include the trash "analysis" from the MSU professor. Am I off-base or isn't a score of 0.6 only slightly better than a coin flip?
There is absolutely nothing new in this "report" by ESPN other than a statement from CMU's AD that says CMU "continues its review of the matter in cooperation with the NCAA".
What a bunch of hacks. Just an effort to keep this story on its headlines.
He bought the tickets himself, "donated" them to other Veterans (but asked them to video opposing sidelines), then wrote the tickets off as charitable donations.

He’ll just play for the Birmingham Barons G-League basketball team for two years and all will be forgotten.

Pete Thamel using unnamed sources should be a drinking game

What? Weird comment.
Michigan literally only has Wink Martindale as an old white man. And he definitely doesn’t wear a suit.
Does anyone else find it weird that WD is the main quoted source for this story?
And why did SF choose to go first in OT? Seems like that was a big mistake.
Shouldn't we wait until we see what the final defensive staff looks like before saying that the sky has fallen?
too bad OSU doesn't play UCLA next year. that would have been fun
he's still hiding in the stadium
Not necessarily that no Hurtt = Elston stays for sure but that Hurtt coming = Elston is leaving for sure.
His hiring only made sense if Elston was out as D-Line coach so I'll take this as a positive.
oops, wrong thread
How quickly you forgot Bob Shoop

Yet Pete Thamel remains employed
I was trying to read into this, but they’ve posted similar tweets for all their candidates for both HC and GM.

Iowa? You know something?
I believe he's going to the Senior Bowl, isn't he?
NHG is in the portal again. Supposedly, he's looking at FSU but may be having some difficulty qualifying is what I read.
that's a lot of exclamation. user name checks out
and that probably would have been better for everyone except for Jamaal

desperate times call for desperate measures
Most insurances will cover it for a family history of aortic aneurysms.

Jimbo Fisher became coach at FSU after being coach in waiting under Bobby Bowden.
Off the books. If that’s how we operated, Burgergate would never have been a thing.

Hope he’s coming for Harbaugh’s contract signing ceremony.
yo, that's the definition of related
I mean, you could just read the last paragraph of the story where a police spokesperson says that the two stories are unrelated.
This is simply ESPN trolling for clicks. The FBI has been involved in this investigation for months.
The ESPN story also unsurprisingly buries the lede in the last paragraph that there is no relationship between Weiss and the signals story.

Nope. Still sucked as usual
I'll be out of the country and will unfortunately miss The Game. I have two tickets available - Section 18, row 45.
Edit: tickets sold. Go Blue!
happy for Don Brown's win, but merely looking competent against NMSU might not portend great things
