the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

"my perception is that the front page content has become increasingly more difficult to read with numerous bizarre allusions." ... I'm 25 and have been reading this blog since the beginning of undergrad. My perception is that little is stylistically different. Brian is still busting out constant, hilarious content. Citing one headline you don't understand as evidence of "numerous bizarre illusions" The style of this blog is EVERYTHING and you are not allowed to groundlessly attack it. Your decreased consumption is a good thing. |

Everybody has addictions. Just because yours aren't as noticeable or detrimental as drugs and alcohol doesn't mean they're not there. To say you have "no sympathy" for millions of people suffering with addiction and that they're all stupid is unbelievably insensitive, judgmental, and does nobody any good. |

I think anybody that likes this song is taking crazy pills. Yes, Zoolander crazy pills. I can't think of a song that has a more cheesy, nonsensical chorus in all of music. DISCLAIMER: I know none of the other words to this song. Maybe those other words explain the following questions. It breaks down like this: "For those about to rock" - nonsensical Poignant questions: Summary: WHY ARE WE SALUTING PEOPLE WHO ARE ABOUT TO ROCK BUT HAVEN'T ACTUALLY DONE ANYTHING YET? "We salute you" - cheesy (also nonsensical) Poignant questions: Summary: Expressing honor for rock musicians by saluting them doesn't make any sense. That'd be like honoring Mother Theresa by punching her in the face. I WANT ANSWERS BRAAAAAAAA |

Does that mean he doesn't like our chances with Diamond? |

More towards Ace. Either way, I can't believe so many people jumped on my use of "we". It was more calling out the perception that it's ok to declare his commitment when he directly said he has not commited. |

I don't have any direct experience playing civ, but EU is really really in depth. If you like like civ i'd deifnitely check it out. Also, Hearts of Iron is a title from the same company that's a WWII strategy game. It's a lot of fun; it's actually what I played first. |
| 1 year 34 weeks ago | EU2 <3 |
Yes; this is the only sports blog to ever mention Europa Universalis. It's also the first mass-audience anything to mention Europa Universalis. But dear god is that one of the best games ever created... if you're in to 2d graphics and running the government of a country over many centuries. I know that's not everybodies thing. |
| 1 year 37 weeks ago | One more thing to add is that |
One more thing to add is that Catholic Central (and Godin) blew up Dearborn For(d)son. Typically being Dearborn's best team, it either means CC is that good or Dearborn football is not so good. Probably a lot of both. |

Unexpected yet excellent news. It has to mean something (if only a little something). |
| 1 year 38 weeks ago | You're right; it was 2008! |
You're right; it was 2008! And if the space was so private, they would have just kicked me out. You can't honestly say that as an undergrad high off our only decent win of the year, hanging out on the field with a chance to check out the locker room, that you wouldn't do it. You'd stop and say, "NOPE! THAT'S PRIVATE!" and walk away. |
| 1 year 38 weeks ago | Rushin the field is good times |
My favorite U of M football moment came at our darkest hour. After our improbable comback against Wisconsin in 2007, chants of "rush the field!" were being shouted all over the student section. Me and a buddy of mine got the front right as the final seconds ticked off, and when the game was sealed, people started hoping over the rail. The guy in front of me wouldn't go, and after some proding on my part, he finally jumped. And was immediately nabbed by a security guard. With the guard occupied, I jumped myself. "HEY YOU!" he shouted, and pointed at me. I ran towards the tunnel and hung out there for a second. After it was clear he lost track of me, I went to the corner of the field, where the team was celebrating near the student section. It was surreal. When they were done, I followed them into the tunnel. But instead of leaving, I followed them into the locker room. I had a student shirt on and clearly looked like I didn't belong, but nobody questioned me. I watched RichRod talk to the team after the game. Michael Phelps showed up briefly, said "hi" to a few players, and was about to leave the locker when I shoved my hand towards him and said "Michael Phelps!". He robotically shook my hand. My favorite part was when everybody got down on one knee for a prayer, something that was obviously routine to everyone in the room. Slowly and awkwardly, I got on one knee myself. I just looked so out of place, but nobody cared. Once RichRod was done talking, I conspiciously walked around with my flip phone out taking video of the locker room, took a gatorade out of the fridge, and hung for a bit. Then I left. And that's my story. |
| 1 year 38 weeks ago | Indirect is the way to know! |
I know Brady Hoke because I am a U of M alumni, which allows me to go to Camp Michigania every year, where this year David Brandon gave a talk during the faculty forum about Michigan athletics, a talk which I saw and participated in, and this being the SAME David Brandon that hired Brady Hoke, through indirect and highly suspect means, I know Brady Hoke. He said everything is going to be ok. |

Are we really going to insult the intelligence/preferences of a recruits mother? Recruits read these boards, remember? We have no idea what the Diamond family's decision process is or how mama Diamond's preferences will play into it. And if he does go blue, this kind of conversation sure is welcoming. |

I've tended to think about our team of the future instead of the team we have now and DENARD DEANRD DEANRD! I lack focus. Or more accurately, we U of M fans have been spoiled with good news lately. |
