| 19 weeks 2 days ago | What about Tyrone Wheatley? |
Shafer's a good coach. It's a shame it didn't work out at Michigan. The real question is where does this land Tyrone Wheatley? Fred Jackson's going to be retiring soon in all likelihood, and Wheatley has to be first in line. A few years of NFL experience with Marronne might not be such a bad thing for him. |

Does anyone have a BTN2go log in that can be borrowed for the sake of this game? You can change your password afterwords to lock us back out. |

Disneyland! Hopefully they'll have the Msu osu game on instead of the little mermaid. |

Thanks. |

Anyone have a summary/link to what Forde and Hooley actually said? The Farrey piece was just recycling old ESPN clips about OSU. I'm more curious about the details around the NCAA still investigating OSU, and watching them get hammered (and not the good kind of hammered, like what I'll be doing later tonight). |

So ESPN says it's ok for Craig James work the Alamo Bowl, but it's not ok for Bruce Feldman to work with Mike Leach on his book? No, that's not a hypocritical double standard at all... |

We are the only supposedly top-tier program in the country that is obssessed wtih finding a coach that has already reached that over-the-top level of success at the FBS level. Florida just hired a DC, OSu hired a DII coach, Auburn hired a coach with a losing record, Carroll was a failed NFL coach, Stoops was a coordinator, Wisconsin/Oregon/FSU all hired coordinators. Wait, sorry. I was wrong. Notre Dame did it our way, too. Worked out great for them, didn't it? The bottom line is it's absurd to think that a coach who is already having monstrous levels of success will come to Michigan just because it's Michigan, even if he went there. And it's equally absurd for fans to think that ONLY someone who has had that success before can have success at Michigan. Hell, our two best coaches were a MAC coach and a dc. |

Beginning to resign myself to an inevitability that didn't seem so bad a few days ago. But as reality sets in it is killing my optimism. |

Keep an eye on Tyrone Wheatley as a guy who might want to come back at some point as well. He's done a pretty decent job as RB coach at Cuse, and would be a great advocate for the school. |
