Billy Taylor was few years before I became aware of Michigan. My first love for Michigan was against USC and the phantom touchdown. That’s when I first learned the names Rick Leach and Roosevelt Smith.
Wow! So many to choose from. But if I had to pick, it would be Anthony Carter. Loved him as a little boy and remembered how he helped to change Bo’s idea of the forward pass somewhat. Butch Woolfolk is another of my favorite wolverines as is Rick Leach. Then there was Jim Harbaugh and Jamie Morris when I was older.
Agreed especially since Michigan predicated their offense on the run game. In the past (pre Rich Rid) Michigan seemingly always had the prototypical large offensive tackle(s).
My how the times have changed. In 78, Woody Hayes punched a player and was fired. In today's world urb allows a coach to abuse his wife and all he'll probably get is suspended.
What really saddens me is the victim(s) Courtney & children in all this.
Last week I would have bet they would fire urb but today I'm not so sure. I'm now leaning they're going to keep him.
Is at a premium in/around stadium. Depending on what time you're arriving will affect where you park. The stadium is right behind Ruby hospital and traffic flow can be a pain. Reasonable rates vary from 10 to 35. 10 being a considerable walk to stadium.
Overall the atmosphere during game days is very enjoyable and friendly. They're very passionate about their mountaineers. . You should find it enjoyable. Parking might be your biggest headache unless you already have a spot. If you have any questions let me know. I'll try to answer best I can.
Coach Jerry Kill said QB MarQueis Gray did not practice Wednesday because of a toe/foot injury he picked up during the week. "(Thursday) will be big to determine if he plays Saturday (at Michigan)," Kill said.
and still a powerhouse in football. As for the runway, it was expanded years ago. They filled in the valley next to it about 10 years ago and extended the runway.
I friend of mine called me from the hanger and told me about the plane knowing I'm a big Michigan fan. So I went out there to look at it and took pics. Again I apologize, my mistake. I did not know the University didn't have their own jet. Guess I deserve the neg bangs for that. Still, if anyone would like to see the pics and knows how I can upload them from my cell phone please let me know how to do it.
We are both on the same team. Nothing was posted at the time I read the article. It wasn't until after I posted that I noticed you had posted. No big deal. And not a reason to neg someone.
It happened less than a month ago, right before Christmas. I'm a big Michigan fan and have been since 1976. I am not going to stop wearing anything Michigan just because Rich Rod left WVU for Michigan. That includes trips to Morgantown. I proudly wear my block "M" hat and my block "M" fleece (that I got from MDen!). It has caused some death stares my way but I figure it is still a free country. If the people in West Virginia can not get past the fact that he left, then that is their problem. Not mine. I was a Michigan fan well before he got there and I will be a fan well after he leaves or retires.
I live about 10 minutes south of Morgantown and I hear it every day how much they love to root against him now. One of the most popular t-shirts sold here has the phrase, "I root for WVU and anybody that plays against Michigan." I once went to my Doctor for a check up wearing one of my (many) Michigan shirts. He said I had a health problem. When I inquired as to what my aliment was, he said it was my Michigan shirt. He offered to pay me to take it off. I told him he could pound sand up his a** and if he wanted to become a better Dr then go to Michigan and get something that actually looks good on his wall.
Plus throw into the mix that Murphy might possibly go to Maryland...will that lead to Grimes following his friend there? Guess we'll have to wait and see. Interesting set of events developing.
more. Whatever you guys or Brian decides is fine with me. I just usually read the comments anyway. I don't usually post unless it's a topic that interest me.
I usually don't post. I find it better to just sit back and read the discussions that go on here. I liken it to a wise man often has nothing to say. I'm not saying I'm wise, rather I try to live by this adage. However after reading this post, I felt I had to. It is agreed diclemeg's comments can be (are) offensive in nature. Now that can be for many reasons for which there is not enough time to list and it would be a considerable waste of time and effort to do so. His passion for thinking he might be right on who starts this fall is no different than many others who have stated the same for whomever they feel the starter should be. Just in less obvious and offensive language. I'm a big enough fan of Michigan that it does not matter to me who starts as long as it gives Michigan the best chance at winning. I'm sure many of you would agree.
when Bill Frieder was the head coach and Roy Tarpley was playing during the mid 80's. Then he took the Arizona St. job and Bo said he wouldn't coach the team during the NCAA tournament. That's when Fisher took over as interim coach. Anybody else remember that?
No, I'm not gay. In fact I'm married (have been for over 20 years) with two wonderful children. Both of them in college. If anything, I'm a proud parent with a wonderful wife who puts up with my love for the game of football and the Michigan Wolverines. Been a fan of Michigan since 1976 when I first watched them on t.v. I appreciate what Brian has done with this website, that's all.
I hate to say it because I'm a true blue fan but I was fortunate to see WVU play live and their speed is
unbelievable. I think WVU would win cuz of the spread, speed and Pat White. He's truly an amazing athlete.
Michigan fan for over 30 years now living in Morgantown, West Virginia but originally from the dreaded state of ohio (sorry to say). So you can imagine the flak I take when I sport my Michigan hat and tee shirt. That's OK, I'll just enlist the help of my new buddy Brian at MGOBLOG and the rest of the Michigan nation.
I've been following your site for over a year now and I love it! I'll read no other blog but yours. You are the bomb! Keep up the great work!

Mine too.
Anthony Carter was my favorite too. Always electric when he touched the ball.

I did.
My Uncle (huge buckeye fan) from Ohio only calls me once every year....yep, the day after the mich-osu game. I don't answer my phone. Imagine why...
