Devin Gardner Announcement Date Set

Submitted by dinkmctip on
Via Scout, the headline reads that sources at Inkster say that Devin Gardner's commitment announcement date is set. Does this bode well? I would think it does with the timing of the OSU drop. P.S. Sorry for the deceiving topic title

What's deceiving about the title? It accurately stated what your thread said...although I was hoping you would actually tell us the date.

assuming his announcement is this month. He's only seen a few schools, I believe and we all know he's been to U of M A LOT. Plus, he probably got sick of Lane kiffin barging in him while he's taking a dump telling him he's going to wipe asses for a living if he goes anywhere else other than TN. Or, he really likes Ron English and will be playing for EMU. could happen.

Wouldn't surprise me if he does commit. I mean we have a QB race thats wide open, 3 and possibly 4 WR commits all in the 4* range, an ex-teammate, and the school is 25 min from his high school. I don't know what other school would have to trump all that.

Yeah, my gut tells me that that Monday thing isn't true. It's probably more like several months from now and is meant more as a deadline he's set for himself as opposed to "I know where I want to go and here it is..." kind of thing.

MORE GOOD NEWS: It looks GoBlueWolverine is the only one reporting this right now. Usually when commitment news is only coming from one team's site, it means something.

up now too. I think the key here is if he still attends Junior Day this Friday. If so, I can't imagine turning around on Monday and announcing for someone else.

You guys have to stop this. I have two dates with two different women this weekend and now I'm going to spend both of them looking forward to what a high school kid might say on Monday.

fwiw on his facebook a recent comment says "Good luck with your decision on monday". i am not a creeper. i repeat i am not a creeper. just find it useful if you want to know the inside scoop on some recruits. also find it cool to be a friend of a possible and current michigan football player

Or the person who knew he was making his decision monday is a person with a subscription to rivals or scout who is also a fan and wanted to be his friend on facebook because he also thought it would be cool to be friends with a possible Michigan football player. I dont think his "friends" are the only ones that know when he will be making his decision by now if its posted on 2 major recruiting sites.

says "committed to Michigan" over at Buckeye planet. Over the years, that poster has been about as reliable as they come on the intertubes, so I'm feeling pretty good about this.

Michigan's junior day is on the 14th and he is planning on coming. Then, on Monday, he is announcing. Read into that what you will...

.....that we may get a few commitment announcements next Monday? Seems that our student recruiters may be doing good work, and the news may arrive after Junior Day next week. No wonder Rich Rod seemed slightly comfortable about his QB situation in his press conference yesterday.

I was under the impression that Gardner was a silent verbal to tOSU. I'll believe we have Gardner when he signs his LOI, thank you very much. Hard to trust someone that grew up an OSU fan.

Its one nugget of useful information surrounded by 9,000 Michigan jokes in EVERY thread. I like that these message boards aren't obsessed with another team. Also, if Gardner could just sign his LOI on monday too, that would be great.
