I'm not sure, but this may have been posted before. So did you guys hear about Harbaugh's wife/mom looking for a house 20 minutes from AA?
|2 days 10 hours ago||lol||
so being here 5 years and never started a rumor makes this credible? Well my dad is illuminati and he said and I quote "It's happening!"
|2 days 14 hours ago||Man||
It's totally happening
|2 days 17 hours ago||Some would call||
Some would call that fuck you money
|3 days 4 hours ago||I didn't go to UofM||
but I started paying attention to Michigan when a certain coaching candidate was playing qb in AA. 1985, I think we finished top 4 that year only losing to Iowa. Watching Desmond strike the pose, The fab 5, and Tyrone Wheatly as a freshman. Those were special times man, I never thought we would lose a game. It happened but it was always a fluke in my mind. I rememeber always throwing out a stat that every Michigan qb from Harbaugh on played in the NFL.

Haven't you learned yet that recruiting will not stop a good coach from winning. Oregon State was not recruiting at a lower level than MSU was when Dantonio arrived. They didn't have t worse then Cincinatti with Brian Kelly..good coaches build up and win, Riley has never won anything.
|1 week 4 days ago||I'm sorry||
but that really is laughable. It's not like he's sitting back taking applications for the job and realized there weren't enough. A group of people are identifying candidates and then contacting them. You said it yourself, it's a top 15 job that pays millions. Candidates don't go to Hackett, he will go to them if he is interested.

is one of the dumbest things I have ever read on this blog. Rich Rod did not fail Michigan? Michigan's job is to give him the resources he needs to succeed, they did that. Rich Rod couldn't recruit here for whatever reason and his defenses and 3-3-5 scheme were terible . That is not on UofM..it's on RR. I am so tired of all the revisionist history around here.
|1 week 5 days ago||Well put||
Well put sir, I never thought of it that way. I guess I figured you wouldnt want to tell a candidate you weren't our first choice, but that's why im not meant for this sort of thing haha. thx for the the response.
|1 week 5 days ago||I||
hope you guys are right about that. That would probably be the perfect storm for us, but I don't see him getting fired or quitting before the season is over.
|1 week 5 days ago||I agree||
I agree on that the agants can talk. I don't claim to know much about the process but how would that conversation go? Agent "yes, my guy might be interested" Hackett "ok cool, well get back to you in a month if we are still interested" I don't know maybe that is happeneing but it just seems lame. I mean a lot of things can change between now and January, someone who is not interesed now may change their mind and vice versa. I guess I can see it going that way but it doesn't make sense to me.
|1 week 5 days ago||Why would we contact him||
Why would Hackett have contacted him. Miles has a bowl game to prepare for, along with every other college candidate. If he is a candidate he will get contacted on the 29'th if JH says no. We don't know if JH is coming here but it is safe to assume that Hackett is going to offer him the job after the season is over. Then if he is turned down he will be able to start contacting college coaches. I don't get why people think this hire was going to happen soon when you all know damn well Harbaugh is getting an offer at the very least. And since Harbaugh has not said he is not a candidate, we have to wait for the 49'ers season to end before anything else happens.
|1 week 6 days ago||He did||
a good job at rutgers which means what exactly? How hard is it to get to 8 or 9 wins when you are playing 3 or for terrible nonconference teams and then the big east. To me that is no more impressive then the 2 rebuilding jobs Hoke did before he got here. Then he got chance in the pros and was a complete disaster. Yes some good coaches fail in the pros but noot the way Schiano failed..there is no good comparrison for what he did
|1 week 6 days ago||Well||
Schissel did slip up that one time and say people wanted him to hire a new AD so he could hire the new coach right? That happened around that timeframe if I remember
|1 week 6 days ago||Yeah you have||
You have a terrible memory bud. Obviously you were around back then but everything happened pretty much the oppsite way of what you described. There was not a whole bunch of this Harbaugh because half the people here honestly hated him at the time. I don't see much of that now but I remember getting blasted when I would hope for him back then. Besides he was a good coach but not a superstar like he is now. Also Brian did not predict Hoke..we heard the rumor and he wouldn't believe it at all until it was announced..then he proclaimed us to be the new ND. If only he knew what was coming lol
|1 week 6 days ago||Seriously||
This is some of the most rediculous shit I have ever heard. I wonder if people realize how fucking stupid you make this entire fanbase look when we put crap like this out there.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||If||
If you need a dick that's fine, I will not jusdge you but you do not speak for the rest of us. Also Schiano has been out of work for a while now and has not been offered a single job yet for a reason.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||This||
This thought had crossed my mind. I also think this is the reason the Hackett said they would be fully paying out all the contracts. If you want Harbaugh, it seems you have to be as good to Hoke and Mattison as you possibly can be in this process. To his credit paying Hoke his full salary through next years seems like a smart move if that is where he is going with this.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Fair point||
but Bowden was like 81 or something.. it was easy to see he was going to retire soon.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||For the record||
I agree with you that the odds are against Harbaugh coming here. But all these people saying they heard he is staying are full of shit. It's such an easy thing to say, when was the last time a coach in his prime, considered to be one of the best coaches in the league, left the NFL to be a college coach? It doesnt happen so it's easy for these guys to spout that stuff thinking they are probably going to be right. But like Brian said, why would Harbaugh tell anyone he wasn't interested even if he wasn't? Why would he give up that leverage in negotiating his next contract? Also even if Harbaugh is better suited for the college game I doubt he is telling himself that. He is an egomaniac who is probably telling himself that his bosses are a bunch of losers that he will make pay. I think the only thing that brings him here would be his love for Michigan. He has to be sick of us being kicked around as much as we are. Super bowl rings are great but I bet the thought of his statue next to Bo's might put a sparkle in his eye.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Right||
Because obvious "heir apparent" coaches stick around 5 or 6 years waiting for head coaching jobs. Not wanting Miles because he is 5 years older than ideal is such a lame argument. He is 2 years younger than Saban, how many schools would not want him because of his age? Dantoni is 58, Paterson will be 55 in 2 months, Belichek is 62 DO NOT WANT! These are coaches not players, if they're healthy and still performing at a high level, a couple years age difference is about the dumbest reason I could think of to take a lesser candidate instead.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||LOL||
"There is NO EXCUSE for Michigan not being able to bring in Coach Harbaugh."
Really? So like, if Harbaugh says thanks but I am going to coach the bears or the jets..Hacket should just chloraform him and bring him back to AA anyway? There is no excuse to offer him less than 5 or 6mill a year, I will give you that, but there are plenty of reasons he might say no.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||no it doesn't||
no it doesn't. They are saying Mullen could be a 1 year wonder and Shaw could be riding Harbaughs players to early wins.. those do no apply to Miles. We get it, you hate Miles and don't want him to be the coach here. You don't have to post it multiple times in every thread. You're turning into another section 1 here man.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||RR was soft||
He was soft with the press and he fucking cried at a banquet while reading a Josh Groban song. I think if he had started winning he would have hardened up a bit but that never happened.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Do mal needed to get that ball to spike||
That was pretty dumb
|3 weeks 5 days ago||nah||
Kilmer flipped out when his scout team ran the oop dee oop even though Nevada state averaged 40 points with it
|5 weeks 3 days ago||hmmmm||
that's a tough one but I would have to go with Jim Harbaugh.
|5 weeks 4 days ago||Maryland||
maryland 28 Michgan 24 ..to think we could lose to Maryland and Rutgers in their 1st year in the conference is horrifying. This is a stain that will take a decade to wash away.
|5 weeks 4 days ago||great||
Olberman tonight..mgoblog reporting the the athletic dept at Michigan still holds a grudge against Jim Harbough for his comments.. This is interesting info and all but I would prefer we not sabotage our sourselves by putting this stuff out there
