|4 weeks 2 days ago||This is funny to me||
I work in a factory, and this kind of behavior is rampant. On breaks and at lunch there is a black table and a white table that just naturally happens. We always laugh and make jokes about it. We all really do get along, even hang out together outside of work regardless of race. But for some reason at break..there's still a white table and a black table. I'm an arab so I always joke around and ask them if I should just go eat in my car.

pretty soon the players will be considered pros instead of student-athletes and there will be no need for a student section anymore.

I agree with what you are saying but how is that relavent to a discusiion on college athletes who are receiving a hell of a lot more than minimum wage in compensation. Players housing and food are paid for, their tuition and books are paid for, their academic tutors are paid for, health insurance is paid for. If you add it all up you will see even mentioning minimum wage in this conversation is rediculous.
My feeling on this is these kids are in an apprenticeship program. They are being trained and taught a skill that the elite will use in a pro leage somewhere in the world. They are taught diet and exercise routines, they are taught techniue, they are given exposure and marketed to future employers (whether it be in football or through some course of study) all while being justly compensated. I don't get the monopoly bit either..there are semi pro leagues all over the country, its an alternative route. It pales in comparison but how it the the NCAA's fault?
I will say I agree that they should have the right to collectively bargain. And the Universities should have the right to say thanks but no thanks and get different kids who want to work for the compensation package they are offering.
|11 weeks 4 days ago||Serious question||
Would you really have a problem with it if Izzo let him bring a couple friends with him to party it up a bit? In an environment as dirty as college basketball recruiting, Izzo and Belein have to fight against schools they you know aren't playing by the rules, I would have no problem if Belein let the kid bring a couple friends with him to AA. We can't offer him what a Kentucky or Kansas can and they are trying to sell the kid on their school. Stop acting like it's so dam outrageous to think Izzo would let the guy do it..it's not.

asked for a list of guys that came in the the hype of the #2 player in the country who has been called the best cb recruit in the past 10 years? I am sure we have a huge list of players that can fall into that category. lol We have a word or people like you...
|14 weeks 2 days ago||WTF||
WTF you talkin about willis.. Mcguffie was a 3 star who had buzz because of his youtube video. He had a bit of hype but it sure as hell wasn't collective. Marvin Robinson had as much hype as he did.

why people want channels unbundled, but people always exaggerate cable costs so much its rediculous. Either that or you are paying for a bunch of extra boxes and dvrs or something if your bill is 135 a month just for cable. If that bill is for cable and internet like mine then thats a pretty good deal if you ask me. Even if I ditched the cable, I would still be paying a steep price for 50 mbs internet service. And comcast xfiniy streaming service is about 1000x better then netflix and its free with your subscription. If I dropped cable and paid about 65 bucks a month for internet..I dont think id come close to the value of the cable service I am getting for 70 bucks of unbundled channels, not to mention the free streaming service. Lastly I will point out that streaming sports ove the internet stinks. Yes you can watch the game but when you could be watching in hd.. streaming is a crap substitute to save a few bucks imo

Why on earth would you want Shepard? Maybe I have a bias from hearing him on talk radio for so many years, but he's terrible to me. I feel embarassed for Michigan basketball when I hear him doing the games...the guy is smarmy and awkward
|19 weeks 4 days ago||I don't understand||
where this mentality the ND is an automatic loss.. when did they become unbeatable? I agree that if we lose to Utah and ND Hoke's seat is on fire at that point.. but I think the chances of that are slim. We have a super talented 5th year senior qb, and a D that should be borderline elite, If we go 8-4 I will be pissed.
As for this nonsense about Funk, The fact that he has to watch Alabama film to learn that scheme makes me sad. Still I beleive that Nuss knows what it takes to be a winner and he will impose his will on the position coaches. The man is a couple good seasons from a quality head coaching gig, I don't think he's gonna let that slip through his hands here, he will turn this around...please god help him turn this around.

I think we all wasnt success, I agree he was in a tough spot and we were going to have problems. But I just dont feel like there's an excuse for that many negative yardage plays ever, it crippled the team.
|19 weeks 5 days ago||fair enough||
Im not an expert, I was just giving my opinion. I disagree on him only playing worse late in the year. Uconn he was pretty bad, along with a few other games early. I felt like at times he was making bad decisions with the ball and lost confidence because there was no qb coach there on the sidelines. There is no proof it was due to coaching or lack of, I concede that. Overall he was still great under the circumstances, but I beleive he is capable of much much more.
|19 weeks 5 days ago||I agree||
that Darboh was going to be the starter last year behind Gallon. But the points he made are completely valid. Chesson did get much better as the season went on and by the end of the year he was pretty good. He also was the best blocker at the posistion and we know the coaches value that. Darboh has alot of work to do if he is going to win that spot back imo.
|19 weeks 5 days ago||Correction||
The number of self-proclaimed experts feeling the need to "correct" every opinion they see is not on the rise. They have always been around in force you are just noticing it more now.
