First Look at the Rose Bowl Patches

If you are going to turn the athletes into sponsor billboards, you better be paying them part of the sponsorship fee.

I love the top 2/3 of this year's patch.

Very pedestrian design. I.5 stars

Good thing it says the sponsor, otherwise I wouldn’t see it at the 50 yard line, every into/exit card during the broadcast, and in about a million other places. 

I'm assuming they haven't announced, or even decided, whether they are wearing maize or blue pants yet. 

Traditional blue jersey/maize pants or the all blue look.  I love the traditional look, but the all blue is growing on me, especially with maize accessories. 

Let the players decide (I'm assuming this is what they do).  They deserve it.

Being honest, I kinda wanted Michigan to choose to wear white with maize pants, despite having jersey choice.

Move that patch a bit higher and put it right over B1G

The one from last year is the best looking bowl patch I have ever seen.

This year’s version sucks

A couple of hack websites used these photos for click-bait on the entire uniform UM would wear Jan 1st.  Needless to say, we still dont know if UM will be wearing maize pants and blue jerseys.

Since it's the Rose Bowl, I prefer tradition.  Go with the maize pants and blue jerseys.  After all, the school colors are maize and blue, not blue and blue.

Is this the first ever uniform with a sponsors name on it for us?

Bowl patches almost always look bad and this year's is no exception. The patch PSU wore last year looked nice but of course we need the white background so the corporate overlords can be represented.

I wish the full team would slap a piece of blue tape over the stupid ad portion of that patch.  

That patch is ugly AF
