Great stuff Seth. You can see how it’s basically two different levels of teams playing when Michigan plays OSU, or when they played Bama. It’s nice to see a rational explanation for why that is.
This blog is great, and Brian’s writing and perspective are the foundation it is built on. I’m sorry to hear what you’re going through, but glad you shared it. Keep your head up! The night is darkest before the dawn.
Any thought that this move has to do with Warriner underperforming in his role as run game coordinator? Our running game last year was so disappointing.
I know we’re all sort of dreading The Game, and especially dreading that Fox is going to turn it into a 4.5 hour monstrosity that will just detonate each of our Saturday afternoons. Let me help you:
1. find a friend/family member who doesn’t care.
2. DVR the game.
3. Text aforementioned individual at 3:30 - is Michigan winning or within 10?
4. If yes, watch, skip commercials, Michigan might lose but at least they’ll show up.
5. If no, continue on with your Saturday and pat yourself on the back for your wise decision making.
Can't get upset about losing recruits to them...it happens all the time! Michigan OSU isn't a rivalry anymore, facts are facts. Deal with it or get pissed about it, doesn't matter. Might as well get amped for MSU/Wis/PSU and just DVR the OSU game
Oh man I totally agree with this. I remember when we were trying to talk ourselves into him and it didn't feel good. "Pro Style" "Top 10 Rushing Offenses" (4 years earlier). And then he leaves for Bama and it felt like...oohhhhh shit, we needed him!
Classic overreaction. That offense tonight was a disaster. 10 sacks. The two minute drill at the end didn't have a single successful play except for those penalties.
That game has to make you appreciate Harbaugh. We have never looked that sloppy. Miami and Florida looked ridiculous.

“It’s the hope that kills you,” I feel like this site should watch Ted Lasso
Take me out back and kill me in 3 months, because Michigan is going undefeated, I can feel it in my bones.

The return of optimism, I love it. Seth was getting lonely.
At least since we’re bad, we deny OSU the enjoyment of meaningful and exciting rivalry games
Well written

Or is this just a guy choosing to leave?

Enthusiastic, trash talking Ace is one of my favorite reads. Statement game, let’s keep this thing going!

It's the best way to watch "The Game"
…
Here's the plan next year:
1. DVR the game
2. Get someone who doesn't care about the game. Text them at 4 pm and ask whether the game was within 10 points. Don't find out who won.
3. If it was within ten points, watch, skip all the commercials, finish the game in a hour and a half. It'll be a good game, and Michigan may win.
4. During the game you can take your kids out, finish a project, work out, whatever.
This plan is my gift to you.

Plus side, if Harbaugh gets fired our next coach will likely be noticeably worse and then we can all stop caring about Michigan football
