the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

Donavan Warren to shadow Michael Floyd all day long. That means, if healthy, that Cissoko and company will have to contend with Tate. Our corners have the ability to play man against these receivers, whether they actually show up and do it is the question. IMO, the most important defensive players in this next game are Woolfork and Warren. If they play up to their capacity, we will win this game. |
| 3 years 38 weeks ago | Denard will at least get |
8-10 touches per game in some way. Rather it be as a QB, RB, or WR, he will get his touches. Book it. |
| 3 years 39 weeks ago | Nice work pulling in the |
Nice work pulling in the Talbott Brothers. Hopefully they get into Braxton Miller's ear and persuade him a bit, even though he loves the Buckeyes. |
| 3 years 40 weeks ago | Agreed. |
Its a Wolverine/Cane battle. He has family in Michigan which is a plus. |
| 3 years 40 weeks ago | I believe it would be 4 RB's |
but I could be mistaken. Drake will likely end up at slot, which leaves us with Clements, Hopkins, and White. I wonder if we would still lead for Demetrius Hart next year if Clements signs with us this year. Whatever the case may be, Eduardo is to good to pass up. |
| 3 years 40 weeks ago | good call |
+1 for you sir. Intended as a reply to WolvinLA |
| 3 years 40 weeks ago | Even though I despise him |
Tim Tebow is a great example. |
| 3 years 40 weeks ago | I think if Turner |
does not qualify, then Woolfork would slide back to CB and our safeties would be Williams and Vlad. Or Woolfork remains at safety and he slides down to nickel back when Williams/Vlad come on the field and replace him at safety. Either of these could work as long as Woolfork doen't seem overwhelmed if he has to move back and forth. Hopefully Woolfork is an intelligent football player who knows the responsibilities of the entire secondary. |

I hear that. |
| 3 years 41 weeks ago | His name is |
Aramide Olaniyan and he is taking an official visit to Michigan |
| 3 years 41 weeks ago | +1 |
You are exactly right about the Sims recruitment. |
| 3 years 41 weeks ago | I would like to see him take |
I would like to see him take over for Mouton in a couple years if he decides to commit to us instead of Duke. I think he plays SAM/WILL. Good, fast athlete with tremendous instincts and a very high football IQ. Lets get him! |
| 3 years 41 weeks ago | We would not downgrade |
to Jeff Casteel. Greg Robinson has better credentials and a large amount of experience over Casteel. I think we are set with our coaching staff for a while. (Hopson will likely be the first to go) |
| 3 years 41 weeks ago | who do we have a legitimate shot with at LB? |
Josh Furman, a S/LB hybrid, is the only one I can think of. Gloster seems like he is going to Stanford or WVU. Jeff Luc, Christian Jones, and Khari Fortt are longshots. Who else is left? |
| 3 years 41 weeks ago | No I know |
who Justice Hayes is. I did some research and found it was Greg Hayes, Arnett's teammate at Saginaw whom I was referring to. Thanks for the effort though. Arnett is the better prospect but Greg Hayes will probably get MAC offers. The article said Arnett and Jarvis Landry, a WR from LA, were by far the two most impressive WR's at the TENN camp and should be top 10 in the nation next year. |
| 3 years 41 weeks ago | I've heard anywhere |
between 22-25 recruits for this class. I have no idea how or why but if i had to put money on it, i would choose 23. If so that leaves us 7 spots. My best guess at the remaining 7 commits: DL/DB Terry n Terrence Talbott EDIT Shariff Floyd would work too but we're on the outside looking in. |
| 3 years 41 weeks ago | Hayes? |
Just wondering if anyone has seen or heard of Arnett's teammate at Saginaw named Hayes? I forgot his first name but heard he was a legitimate WR prospect? How many WR's do we take next year since we got 5-6 commits this year? |
| 3 years 41 weeks ago | Demetrius Hart |
will certainly help ease the pain if Clements and Gainer decide to go elsewhere. From the small amount of video I've seen, he looks like a 4 star talent that is an ideal fit in RR's offense. He also lists us as his leader with Colorado St. He went to school with Ricardo and his former QB is at Colorado St. Landing Hart and Arnette from Saginaw would be an excellent start to our 2011 class. |
| 3 years 41 weeks ago | IMO |
Van Bergen will slide over and take Graham's spot unless Roh/LaLota impress. RVB is relentless off the edge and has a great motor that could harass QB's the next couple of years. Now this is my opinion and some people might disagree but, if Will Campbell has a good off-season AND/OR year, we might end up seeing some kind of combination of RVB, Martin, and WC on the field at the same time. I know it would kill our interior DL depth, but you have to put the best players out on the field. I think it would be useful against Wisconsin, Iowa, and teams that like to pound the ball. I realize there is a lot of value placed on speed in Gerg's defense, but we can address that with the other eight players. Just a thought, what do ya'll think? |
| 3 years 41 weeks ago | Excellent |
Now we need to put our best foot forward and lock up Brandon and Buck. This will also keep up RR's streak of signing high school teammates in a class, though we still have a shot with the Talbott boys. |
| 3 years 41 weeks ago | Dionte Allen |
was also a CB from Michigan who eventually ended up at FSU. |
| 3 years 42 weeks ago | IMO |
Rush will choose UVA. |
| 3 years 42 weeks ago | You are exactly |
right about that. He would be a great fit in Gerg's defense. He is a smart, heady player that has a lot of speed for a LB. I really hope we keep pursuing him. |
| 3 years 42 weeks ago | Starting SS? |
Are Mike Williams and Vlad competing for the starting SS spot? |
| 3 years 42 weeks ago | Prater did |
drop Michigan and word on the street is Georgia might not take another RB in this year's class. They might wait and get two backs in next year's exceptionally deep RB class. We are still in it but I bet Clements stays in Florida as a Cane or Seminole. |

message board said Feagin got caught stealing FWIW. |
| 3 years 43 weeks ago | 2006 should count but |
1997 if it doesn't. |
| 3 years 43 weeks ago | First off, |
he didn't list all the receivers in this class unless Jeremy Jackson switched positions. Secondly, why include Ricardo Miller in a sentence about WR's who might not end up at UM if Ricardo is definitely going to sign with us? EDIT: Sorry, I just had the same concerns as Biakabatuka did below. |
| 3 years 44 weeks ago | There's no need to worry about |
Ricardo. He might take officials but a family doesn't move 20+ hours away for nothing. |
| 3 years 44 weeks ago | It is a presumptuous statement |
and maybe I shouldn't have used that. A strong chance he becomes a WR would've been more appropriate. Anyway, no harm here. I enjoy reading your opinions and clearly you have a good understanding of football, amongst other things. Keep up the good work (I check out your blog weekly). |
