May I gently suggest you change title to not include spoiler? A fair number of people might have recorded this. |

I thought subbing out a cold shooting Stauskas for Levert and his defense against a hot shooting Fair helped turn things in the first half. I had questioned many times during the conference season why Spike and Levert were getting minutes in pressure situations in "big"games. I see the brilliance in those decisions now. |

Though this appears to be an unpopular stance, posting this kind of information here is a bit of a boundary violation for those coming to a Michigan blog as an escape from the world's challenges. Clearly losses in the Michigan sports community should be addressed here as this blog community is connected in a sense to our players, staff, etc. but I personally would prefer not to be exposed to traumatic news such as this when it holds no relevancy to the blog's content. I do understand the need/desire to connect with others when exposed to such traumatic news, but consideration should be given to the audience and their needs as well. For example, one probably wouldn't share this bit of news with someone who themselves are dealing with a significant loss- and given that we have no idea what other readers are going through, it would be prudent to assume there are other readers experiencing losses themselves, or just don't want to be exposed to this kind of news for whatever reason. /justmy2cents

It appears he pulls it off his hip, off the ground, and into position so quickly that timing is not thrown off at all. Also, I am feeling even more strongly that an accurate long snapper is a pretty nice thing to have. |

I appreciate your moderating comments clearly intended to instigate. Too many people making offensive comments on this board for my (admittedly delicate) tastes.

5 years 30 weeks ago | Loyalty |
I, too, am impressed by Denard's loyalty, and wonder how many others might have chosen to leave if Denard had left. I also believe (I haven't heard this anywhere, just a gut feeling) that the coaches have been loyal in return in developing him as an NFL prospect at quarterback. They have used all of the nonconference games to do so, and I believe this will continue into the B1G season, but with a shorter leash, resorting sooner to utilizing his running skills if the passing game is a detriment. |

According to the ND rival's page he returned in the second half. I don't remember hearing his name called though. |

Why is missing game time the standard punishment for criminal behavior? I would rather see a player lose driving privileges and have mandatory substance abuse counseling for drunk driving, and perhaps do some community service educating incoming freshmen on the dangers of alcohol abuse (at least for first time offenders). For situations like Mr. Clark's, I would like to see him make reparations of his own, compensating the victim of theft for his/her loss and then addressing the larger dorm community as a whole. The community service aspect might include an educational piece on dorm safety or some such.

5 years 42 weeks ago | No, no one is saying that it |
No, no one is saying that it can't happen here. In fact, before the OP, no one was even discussing the matter as it pertains to each of us individually and collectively at all- which I believe was the intent of the OP. What I took from the post was the value in taking a step back, recognizing my own potential for making a similar mistake to those at PSU, and figuring out how to prevent that from happening in my own life and work place. There is a lesson to be learned from this ugly situation, and if I get too caught up in flaming with righteous indignation it could very well be missed. This is definitely one of the best OT posts (the original post, that is) I have read on this blog.

5 years 42 weeks ago | stats |
I found these in the write-up after the video. He was apparently thrown at four times in zone allowing 3 receptions, one a touchdown. In man he was thrown at 13 times, giving up 3 receptions with the interception and 5 PBU's. Also, it appeared that they were not throwing any underneath stuff in this competition, which might explain the cushion he was giving at the line of scrimmage, though it was also apparent he was comfortable allowing receivers to break away from him a bit too far at times. I wonder how much of this is a result of fatigue from chasing deep routes all day? Or from rarely being thrown at and trying to bait the qb into giving him some action?
