I can sense it. Bubble screen.
First Play From Scrimmage for UM Offense
Denard keep to the left
up the middle for Fitz
EDIT: Rawls. At least sit Fitz for the first series, fergodsakes!
to Devin Gardner,,,,,,Al Borges is our offensive coordinator in his 2nd year, not Debored...(mispelling intentional)....
I see what you did there in explaining what you did there.
Double reverse pass with Gardner coming over from wr to take the pitch and throw it down field to a wide open Drew Dileo. Raback it.
I agree with the double pass but I think the second pass will come from Gardner to Denard who will be streaking wide open on a wheel route.
Then Borges will have security remove Mike DeBord from the Cowboys OC box
I'm here, I'm here. Do you need help escorting DeBord out of the building? If so, I'll need a plane ticket to Dallas.
A play action fake to the RB (Fitz/Rawls) then a post pattern to Gardner.
I-form. Run left.
Wait a second, what year is it?
If so I will eat a lemon and post it on the board.
fumbled snap Denard takes it for 6..
This is the most realistic thought in this thread.
"Broken plays are very dangerous...look at that speed! SEE YA!"
Throwback screen to Smith.
Either that or Denard bounces it into Smith with 3 linemen in front with no one to block
We do things here my way!
Maybe. I hear Mississippi Valley State is averaging 40 pts. a game with that offense.
Give me a break! Oopty oop! Give me a fuckin' break!
Wait... Lloyd Carr is no longer the coach.
Play action waggle, complete for 3, receiver gets leveled.
Denard out of the gun. Zone read with Fitz. Denard keeping. Taking a couple strides to the edge, pulling up and hitting Gallon in the slot over the top of the safeties crashing down on the run. 6. Shabam.
Shotgun with U Back. Denard follows the blocks right.
Bomb to Tree, in stride.
you meant to Devin, in stride. our new weapon. first of his 3 TD's on the day.
Shot gun play action, quick slant to Gallon who cuts up field for 8-12 yards.
Way to be positive
... and decisive.
the first 3 plays
1. Rawls on a handoff (+1)
2. gardner on a post route ....denard rolling out of the pocket (incomplete)
3. Bubble screen to v smith for (+9) (First Down !!!!)
Lets have a competition on who predicts the first 3 plays the closest..
the winner gets a free pic of borges in a heisman pose !(with - yeah ...uhhuh...uhhuh music in the background )
The first drive would be a 3-reciever 2-back set out of the shotgun with Smith and Hopkins in; no-huddle hurry-up pass spread similar to the "NASCAR" thing we ran against Iowa last year. The first play would obviously be a play-action quick-slant to Gallon for about 5. Obviously we'd still mix in some draws and Zone-reads, but the main focus would be putting the secondary on their heals a bit.
Once the drive approaches red zone (30-40 yards on Bama's side of the field) it's time to bust out the good ol' QB "oh noes" and grab a touchdown.
The next drive would see our offense resume a more "normal" game plan establishing the run and going back to the huddle between plays. I'd just want to throw Bama' off their game early.
The Annexation of Puerto Rico.
Something safe I'm sure, don't want to be 2nd and 10 too much against that D. The first series or two will probably be scripted ahead of time.
"The Annexation of Puerto Rico"
I was expecting a lot of things in this thread ... but not that. :-)
Dennis Norfleet taking the opening kickoff to the house.
Borges comes out guns blazing. Denard throws the deep ball to Roundtree first play.
QB oh-no to Gardner
I second this. I think we're going to come out swinging on the first play.
But QB Oh-noes kinda needs to be set up with some earlier power running. I'm going with a Denard one-step into the line with a tiny flutter pass right over the collapsing in contain defense's head, Ala Illinois 2010. Pass will go to Roundtree, who will demonstrate that his knee is just fine in outrunning the entire D to the endzone.
Glanda out wide catches the first pass for 15 yards
but your MGoUserName says it all.
If Fitz starts, play action slant to Roundtree for around 15 yards
If Rawls starts, straight up the middle
Denard designed run, Peewee and Qwash in as U Backs, pancake the DLine, 6 points.
80 yard field goal from Brendan Gibbons.
There better be like 95 brunettes behind the goal post.
Snap to Robinson in the gun (sigh of relief), quick pitch to Bellomy to the right, backward pass (still behind the LOS) to Gardner (as Bellony runs a post and Robinson runs to the opposite sideline), backward pass back to Robinson (as Garden runs a streak),
1) Oh noes pitch to Rawls
2) Bellomy post
3) Gardner deep
4) Oh noes toss to Roundtree/Robinson#2 a la Hemingway
Second down, screen to Northfleet who runs for 70 yds.
Would like to see something more aggressive (especially if it works), but it will probably be Rawls off tackle to the left for 2-3 yards. They will try to avoid a 2nd and 10 (or worse) on the first series against that defense.
To Roundtree for td.
Michigan will test the lines to see what kind of traction they get in the trenches.....
.....that transforms into a play action pass to a streak...STREAKING DEVIN GARDNEROHMYGODTOUCHDOOOWWWNN! THANK YOU GOD YES THANK YOU! WE DID IT! HOLY SMOKES WE DID IT! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I'M READY TO GET MARRIED! MY DIEM HAS BEEN CARPED! TOUCHDOWN MICHIGAN! TOUCHDOWN MICHIGAN!
Power off-tackle. This is MANBALL fergodsakes
Zone Read Left look to a QB oh-no to Gallon taking a good bit of real estate.
Man, did they even pull that play out last year?
None of the things any of your are mentioning are plays. "Denard keep to the left" isn't. "I-form, run left" isn't either, and it's not even a formation.
Doesn't it make sense to want to be informed about the things you care about?
"The Annexation of Puerto Rico." Sound familiar?
Da Bomb from NFL Blitz to Gallon where he'll get juggled about violently in the air all the way down the field by the Alabama secondary until he lands in the end zone for a TD.
Fake the WR screen, throw the post to Devin Gardner. Basically the long Terrence Robinson reception against Connecticut.
Followed by a QB plunge, fake, quick out pass, which will be deflected back into Denard's grasp and run 90 yds for a TD.
Expect the unexpected. Who would have thought that Carr's boys would line up in a spread against the S.E.C. in his last game at the helm? Too bad he didn't teach Rodriguez how to run the spread before he left!
From the Longest Yard. Three times in a row. At Saban.
Mike Hart off left tackle.
with Bo and Lloyd this was easy. Off tackle!
Satan and his starting 22 red wearing devil worshippers are executed for heresy. (edit:Saban*)
Denard then runs for a touchdown on an iso. /s
Denard play action to Gardner who Hemingway's for 14. Poor DB's.
