Depressed

Looking at the fact that we had the #2 offense last year with our record is pretty depressing.  With that output, you'd thought we were in the championship game playing against Auburn...

Now I haz tearz!

Denard Is Excitement!

I am confident in Denard for two solid reasons:

1.  His talent as a football player:  You can't teach the things he's able to do on the field.

2.  His work ethic:  This is a very overlooked characteristic of Denard.  His off-season leadership and workouts with the team helped attribute to his success on the field.  He'll put in the work in the summer (as well as the rest of the offense) to get better running this new offense.

(*sigh*)

(*sigh*)

Dudeness

I thought "Dudeness" would've already posted his opinion by now...

Maybe we should do an over/under on how long will it take before he posts

Great Work!!!

The Renaissance had Michelangelo and we have TRSaunders

I was taught...

I was taught that "assumptions are the first steps to failure".

It's okay.  You don't have to pay me for the advice...this one's on me, but the next one will cost you

Damn IT!

Damn that video...DAMN IT TO HELL!!!

Oh and you suck

Great Post!

Brian, this is truly your element and the life-blood of this blog.  I think more of these types of post will cause a return to actual content on the MGoBoard.

I am wishing for Mike Martin to move to the 3-tech, which is the scenario in a perfect world...however, I do think that the latter is what we will be stuck with, which is Mike Martin staying as a 1-tech : (.  The D-line is really hanging on the development of a Big Will, Quinton Washington, and a bunch of redshirt freshman.  If they step up, I will smack somebody like I just got Oprah pregnant (I'm rich bitch) and youtube that ho!

Sorry had to do it

Dear Marsh

You mean to tell me that David Brandon did not use Robert's Rules of Order and take minutes and get a vote???

I tell you what...I make a motion that you STFU!!!

I was there!

I was there...it was great...that is all.

Yet...

But yet, you mentioned a religion....How many ways is there to say "FAIL"?

Posted While Getting Drunk With GERG's Stuffed Beaver

What in the hell are we doing with Craig Roh playing DT!!!

If there are any kids out there, put on your earmuffs...

Gerg, you #$%$%^($#(%*#  piece of #$*# face!  Why would you !#(*** our defense like that by putting Craig m#*#(*%&*#($* Roh at defensive tackle.  Does he look like a #$M#$)$*#4() defensive tackle...I'm mean look at him...matter a fact--F'it, I'm shooting this damn stuffed beaver in the head and throwing it in the Detroit *$#$$&% River...

(*inaudible) You mother....

I agree with your "first" and

I agree with your "first" and "second", but your third and fourth sounds like you're making an argument that white coaches are better than black coaches :(...Maybe you and Brian can go hold hands and work on your wording.

I do agree with your "bottom line" though.  We have an experienced staff that will be attractive to the blue chips.

The 1:00 mark

At around the 1:00 mark, you see Denard in the pocket with his feet set and throwing a nice ball to D. Stonum.

Can we stop the Denard can't throw unless he's on the run meme.  I think it's a rediculous statement.

Tate,

May God order your

Tate,

May God order your steps and direct your path!

Go Blue!!!

"I'm not your daddy, I'm your grandpa"

"I'm not your daddy, I'm your grandpa"

I'd imagine...

I'd imagine that the "Hold The Rope" sign will be taken down in the locker room and "Those Who Stay Will Be..." will replace it.

Just my guess

Uhmm...

He didn't say blacks, he said minorities...you know, which includes latinos, mainland asians, and middle easterners.  It's funny how the OP didn't say blacks (he only said minorities), but yet everyone cut him down as if he said blacks only.

For me...I really don't care what color they are, just hire the right coaches for the job!!!

GO BLUE!!!

Thank you!

Brian, this is the first step to your RECOVERY!  I commend you!

OHHHH NOOOO!!!

DAMN IT, BRIAN!!!  I told you to change the f'in' banner...now we've lost Blichty!  Now, look at our 2011 class!  Thank you, Mr. Sharp...I mean Cook

How about...

How about we just get them all to sign on National Signing Day...I think there is enough room for them all.  With 7 commits + 3 soft verbals, unless we're trading recruiting classes with Alabama, I think we are in dire need of Fisher, Bryant, and Posada

Posted From Fred Jackson's Memories

When Fred Jackson was going to his first frat party, his dad asked if he could go with him...Fred Jackson replied, "Dad, you know you have to be over 21 to go to this party".  His dad sadly nodded his head in agreement while Fred read him a bedtime story!

Points

"Points?...Points?...We're talkin' 'bout points!  Not the game, but points!"

What we need...

We need a meeting between Hoke and Brian and someone one on hand to snap the picture of the handshake with Brian cheesing like Denard...

I love/ed RR and his offense!  I even argued with my kids principal (a WVU alumn and husband coached the secondary under Nehlan) who said, "Aren't you glad their going to fire Rich Rod"?  It was a school day with kids around and I put her in her place...but just like "facts are facts", Brian, RR just didn't pan out against the big boyz and we struggled against teams like IU and Illinois.  It was time for a change and it just seems like you're bitter that we didn't get your hire, I understand.  I was a Les Miles supporter...and felt a deep pain when we didn't get him (again).  I even felt another "sting" when he did an interview with College Football Live yesterday and sounded like he was about to cry that he wasn't offered.

But...life goes on!  Brian, we bleed maize and blue!  We don't want to root for another university or team.  Our kids know the victors and look forward to enrolling even though their still in diapers.  These past 3 years have been the roughest years of our fandom and our heads have been hanging quite low for sometime.  We are all hurting because we are not accustomed to losing...well, at least losing like this.  This is the time to be more united than ever.  Give this ball coach a chance and support Michigan even more!  I don't give a damn who agrees with this saying or not...THIS IS MICHIGAN!  We will return (however you define that) and we will be fine.  I don't care about Oregon, USC, Stanford, whatever the hell is going on at Auburn, SEC, Big 12, yada, yada, yada...I only care about Michigan!  So, we got your point and you have made those points clear on this blog and on the radio....NOW IT'S TIME TO MOVE ON

Damn

Brian was just called "Drew Sharp" by a caller

LOL, DAMN!!!

I think Brian should detox before getting back on the radio...this coaching search has hurt him more than I expected

Damn Dave

Damn!

"Bologne...Meet me after class and I'll give you another word" -DB

Wow!

Response OSU:  This is the most important game on the schedule!!!

I love you, Hoke--no homo!

Good Post!

I will be the first to tell you that I absolutely hated this hire for these reasons:

1.  Wanted Harbaugh, then we missed.

2.  Wanted Miles, then felt we missed (again).

3.  Felt like Desmond Howard felt when Hoke name was mentioned by Kirk..."Hoke?  Where'd that come from."

4.  I don't know much about Hoke, even though I live in Indy (not too far from Ball State) and remember the talk about the BSU run some years ago.

Now that I've had a chance to check out the only game that seems to be on the internet (Poinsetta Bowl), I've really warmed up to our new coach and am excited about seeing a full utilization of all of our talent.  If you don't like the guy, it's probably because of one of the reasons mentioned above and you really need to at least check out the bowl game.

I was a huge RR supporter and wanted a 4th year for him.  Other than the defense, the only criticism I had off RR is that Denard was being used in a way that no QB should be used...that is he was being ran too many times.  I've been playing football since the age of 3 and I know that being hit like that play after play will eventually catch up to you.  I do not believe a qb should run the ball 29 times in a game and I cringed everytime Denard would get hurt because one injury could be your career.  I'm sure someone talked to him about this before, so he might be more welcoming to the fact that he don't have to be utilized like he was last year.  Also, I'm anxious to see how our receivers (who are a solid group) will perform in our new offense.

Go Team, Go Coach Hoke, and GO BLUE!!!

WTF!

So we swing and miss again!?!?!?!?

I believe Les wants the HC

I believe Les wants the HC job at Michigan.  The interview with the local news (BR) and his shakey statement today tells me that if Michigan calls, he will surely answer with a yes.  I expect him to be introduced as our coach officially Wednesday and introduced to the team during the team meeting that's now mysteriously scheduled.  It's his dream job...GO BLUE!!!

Sooooooo....

Professor X is going to be our new head coach???

Damn!

Damn, I guess the early birds got all the worms

Ouch!!!

I feel like a dying kitten...Happy New Year or whatever

You should make this into a

You should make this into a diary

Lol!

This pic will be forever a "classic" for us all...especially the expression of the OSU players in the background...they look pitiful while Brutus is getting an ol' fashion ass whoopin'!

OMG!!!!!

I am so mad that I'm not there : (

This game is GREAT!  I love experiencing a historical moment like this....GO BLUE!!!

Oh and hats off to our Athletic Department for a job well done!

My Source...

My source told me that Gerg had a hair appointment during the meeting times.  He could not push his appt. to another time.  Since his hair is the strength of our defense, I think we should give Greg "Samson" Robinsn a break.

/s

The Problem...

The problem with comparing our losses by point margin this year to last year is that you fail to take into consideration that the teams that we played last year will also imporive or like in Purdue's case, due to injury, will actually be a worse team.  It's obvious that Wisconsin, MSU, and Iowa (to an extent) have all gained experience and are much more mature teams.  I'll take those losses.  So out of the 4 games we've lossed,  3 have been to teams that were (are) serious big ten contenders.  I'll take that record over the one we had last year and if we can put together a servieable defense, we will have a lot more wins to add to the bunch

I've been...

I've been tossing that play around in my head (didn't DVR) all night long...

If I'm not mistaken (have to check the replay tonight), the corner and safety played that one correctly.  The flats were covered and Mouton should have read the RB out of the back field.  It was actually one of the best offensive play calls I've seen all year and is tough to defend, but not impossible to defend.  Scheelhaase can throw it to the flats, corner bites he can throw the post, safety bite he can throw the deep post, bite on the qb in the wheel route is wide open, or if everyone is covered Scheelhaase has open field to run.

Also, on the play where Roh noticeably did the "basketball" shuffle to the inside on the zone read, I think Mouton was supposed to scrape and play contain.  They both were moving in the same direction (to the inside) and were no where near making a play.

WHAT!?!?

In all of my years of football, I have never heard of a receiver going for 246 yards in one game and is magically ignored by defenses for the rest of the season.

He's here, fellas!  He "came into his own" already.  Braylon made drops as well, but he still rocked the #1...

It's his, give it to him!

Hemingway's Conversion

That was the same route that we beat ND with last year...It just was on the opposite end, but it was like Tate to Matthews all over again!!!!  Go Blue!!!

Nice!

Nice catch!

Everyone knows that it's all

Everyone knows that it's all about pad level!

I seem to always have to

@ jamiemac

I seem to always have to explain your above points every football season...just because someone runs a 4.3 or can lift 300 lbs does not translate into a great football player.  It's about what you do on the field.  A 4.3 - 40 time is straight line speed, but does not translate to quickness or playing fast and decisive football on Saturdays (or whatever day you play the game).  That's why I like to pay attention to a players clocked time in the shuttle drill as well as their 40 time.

I expect a "year two" jump for our secondary.  They have the talent and the game will slow down for them drastically as they get more playing time and confidence.

"After 13 years of sweeps to

"After 13 years of sweeps to the short side...

Amen!  I also don't miss the WR screen then punt senario either (single wideout and corner in man that didn't have a high probability of success).

We have a historical offense that is consistently putting the offenses of Michigan's past to shame.  Seriously, the things that can be done in this offense are numerous.  If the safeties play run, we can kill them with a seam.  If they play deep, we can kill them with the legs of Dillithium.  If the DE wants to crash, we can kill em with the iso.  If the DE tries to anticipate that, the bubble screen is wide open.  It's the same concept as the triple option, but the options are all over the field.

We had a bad defense last

We had a bad defense last year, too.  Since you seem like a fan that doesn't pay much attention, let me spell it out to you.

We lost BRANDON GRAHAM on the d-line...and Woolfolk, Warren, Turner, and Vlad in the secondary.  You cannot sit there with a level head and tell me that our defense is not what we all expected.  How can you say this team is not improved?  Is it all based off of an already expected defense performance?

Our offense has vastly improved with added depth and experience.  Do you realize we possess a potent offense or do you just look at a MSU performance of 17 points and base the season off of that?  You are the first person that has said that this team has regressed from 2009 to 2010...you sir are an idiot!

Oh God!

My ears...they. won't. stop. bleeding!!!
