Except he's not. He is just saying that it gives idiots a platform that amplifies their nonsense. Zach is still fully responsible for his misuse of it. 

Look at it this way: if there was, like, a town loudspeaker, that anyone could use at any time, and it got taken over by the town asshole who used it at all hours of the day to just be a dick about stuff, what would people do?  Most people would just take down the loudspeaker.

That's why I avoid Twitter, just a forum of endless arguments and flame wars.

The fact that Smith called him out on something that he, himself, did is the point. Maybe the pot/kettle comparison isn't quite right here, but my point was about Smith's disingenuousness, which is what the pot/kettle idiom means. 

But also, Howard’s quote in point 4 was from a comedy sketch in the Chappelle Show. People can decide for themselves the appropriateness of that kind of comment, but context is important, as des never actually threatened to choke someone lol.

Agreed! I’m not on any social media at all, and I’m much better for it. However, I do have some current challenges 

1. I have a couple kids and social media is almost part of their DNA.  I’m having a hard time controlling what goes on between my children and the rest of the social media world. 
 

2. I have a hard fast rule about photos of myself. They do not end up on social media  AT ALL. This seems like a reasonable request, but it pisses off some of my in-laws who love to share everything with the the world. I tell them if they intend to post a picture on social media, I will not be in it. And if I find out they posted a picture with me on their respective social media platforms, I tell them to immediately remove it. It creates a lot of friction. And holidays are here, so I expect some fun discussions on this topic in the coming weeks with my in-laws.
