Wiltfong says Pickard Decision "Soon"
With how UM was his dream school apparently I actually thought DE/TE Wiscy commit Pickard would be the first to fall this weekend. But it sounds like we will have an answer very soon. It would seem to bode well.
A final decision likely coming soon for DE Jake Pickard following this weekend's official to #Michigan: http://t.co/eLGdEQbjx3 @TremendousUM

It's depressing to see TomVH on Twitter giving updates on Ohio and Sparty croots. Makes one yearn for the good old days (no disrespect to Ace, who does a cracker jack job)
January 25th, 2015 at 2:41 PM ^
sounds like him or Reagan Williams are in a race for who can commit next

Just say No (to Stanford).

Is this the new thing? As noted in a post below Jay Harbaugh posted this for Nolan Ulizio committing. Maybe #Amaizing News is the new #YESSIR!
#Amaizing News this AM..

Would make sense seeing how Jay is the TE's coach. This could be what he's referring too.
January 25th, 2015 at 3:21 PM ^
I don't think so. Seems like Jay says that whenever we get a recruit. Not just a tight end. He did the same thing last night when gentry committed

I think so. I meant recruit.
January 25th, 2015 at 2:53 PM ^
I wonder if this signals a lack of confidence in Wheatley.

IMHO, Wheatley has to make his own choice, no matter that his Dad is here now. I am sure the staff has said your welcome, but you have to compete and his positions will be two of the most competitive groups on the team.
And, we have to recruit as if he's not coming. They will make room for him no matter what, but my guess is that there are probably only two slots being "held", one for Marshall and one for Clark.
January 25th, 2015 at 3:04 PM ^
Pickard and Wheatley are de/te prospects so we could take them both because they are both at positions of need, whereby one of the guys could be a de and the other could be a te. Clark is elite enough of a prospect where we would make room somehow or hold a place for him.
January 25th, 2015 at 5:14 PM ^
It will be interesting to see, assuming we get Pickard, does that still leave room for Wheatley and Clark? Do we have room for a DE, TE and 2 DE/TEs? I assume we could take all those guys plus 1 CB which would cover our needs, but that's a lot of players at TE/DE in a small class.
It is very hard to see us turning away Clark or Wheatley though. Maybe the coaches know something we don't about one of them.

This GIF from earlier in that famous scene, but it is rather how I look waiting for these "Hello" posts when they come....

I want more
January 25th, 2015 at 3:06 PM ^
I wonder if there was a difference in vibe and mood between the group that visited this weekend compared to last weekend. Just judging from pictures, I get the feeling this group really got swept up into Michigan atmosphere.
January 25th, 2015 at 3:14 PM ^
Well, the guys last week were generally higher rated and have more top tier options. For most of the guys that visited this week, except Gentry, Michigan was the clear cut best offer they have.
January 25th, 2015 at 7:12 PM ^
I don't think it's accurate to say a UM offer is clear cut better than an offer from Wisconsin (Pickard) or Nebraska (Jones).
January 25th, 2015 at 3:11 PM ^
now let's get a Clark and Smith hello post!
January 25th, 2015 at 3:20 PM ^
And Weber. Just for so.
January 25th, 2015 at 3:23 PM ^
that would be nice, but I just don't see that one happening

Leave negativity at the door. You've been harbaughed
January 25th, 2015 at 3:41 PM ^
Pickard is a guy I am really hoping for. He seems like a hard worker who will really take the coaching, and has enough talent for that to matter.
January 25th, 2015 at 3:42 PM ^
Again?
Oh Boy!!!
January 25th, 2015 at 4:00 PM ^
Marshall, Smith, Clark, and pickard would make this a dream class
January 25th, 2015 at 4:27 PM ^
and Pickard is a three star recruit. No where close to being the best recruiting weekend ever.
Oh and no that would not make it a dream class. A dream class would include Marshall, Harris, and Campbell.
January 25th, 2015 at 4:26 PM ^
The weekend of February 18, 2012 has that distinction.
January 25th, 2015 at 7:40 PM ^
Ummm, you means lots of OL recruits that haven't yet proven themselves. That remains to be seen about it being a good weekend.
