You got to pump it up
Don't you know?
... talking about the lights, obviously.

You're welcome
October 23rd, 2022 at 3:13 PM ^
You’re killin’ it
October 23rd, 2022 at 12:42 PM ^
Matt Ishbia is paying for the light show too.

I remember thinking Dave Brandon’s fireworks idea was very dumb and likely still is, but having them on hand to set off after a big home OSU win would’ve been excellent last year; the only time they’d be acceptable. Tennessee’s fireworks at Neyland after the Bama game were pretty cool. I also went for the field goal posts like the Tennessee fans but U-M police clearly didn’t want us to have that much fun
October 23rd, 2022 at 3:15 PM ^
The posts would have to go up and over, right??
October 23rd, 2022 at 1:07 PM ^
Overkill. Tacky. Too Sparty.
October 23rd, 2022 at 1:23 PM ^
How about a Halloween song?
October 23rd, 2022 at 1:41 PM ^
I suggest Thriller as performed by Filipino prison inmates. Plan B would be anything performed by Filipino prison inmates.
October 23rd, 2022 at 2:12 PM ^
I have... questions
October 23rd, 2022 at 2:33 PM ^
Thriller would be awesome
October 23rd, 2022 at 3:20 PM ^
Cruel and unusual or maybe just unusual
October 23rd, 2022 at 10:55 PM ^
Oh yeah, Filipino prison league dance offs. It’s a thing. Just like prison football, basketball, and baseball leagues in the U.S.

Mr. Brightside sucks even worse than Neil Diamond.
October 23rd, 2022 at 1:55 PM ^
What!!! Wrong on both counts.
October 23rd, 2022 at 2:13 PM ^
Who doesn't like Neil Diamond?!!?
October 23rd, 2022 at 3:13 PM ^
Awful take. Mr. Brightside is one of the best rock songs from the 2000s and it's awesome that Michigan finally has a stadium tradition from this millennium.
October 23rd, 2022 at 7:08 PM ^
The song's theme, the lyrics are so positive and uplifting, aren't they? /s
"Lyrically, "Mr. Brightside" depicts a true story of Flowers' jealousy and paranoia when he walked into a bar in Las Vegas and found his girlfriend cheating on him."
Let's all go wallow in some misery, shall we? 😉
October 23rd, 2022 at 7:57 PM ^
It's garbage. A step above Creed.
October 23rd, 2022 at 8:03 PM ^
Not a rock song. It's a pop song.
October 24th, 2022 at 12:23 AM ^
Agreed.
Want a Rock song that's a Michigan Stadium Tradition?
"Mr. Blightside" is NOT rock.
How about instead, the "ROCKy and Bullwinkle" song---a much better fit.
October 24th, 2022 at 12:35 AM ^
You can say *that* again!
October 24th, 2022 at 12:24 AM ^
With "Rocky and Bullwinkle"...the title even says 'rock'.
October 24th, 2022 at 5:37 AM ^
This song never did it for me either.
October 23rd, 2022 at 3:22 PM ^
“Coming out of my cage, and I’ve been doing just fine.”
Looking forward to the festivities this Saturday evening.
Go Blue!

Lasers? I hope they show Tuck with a cigar hanging from between his cheeks.
October 23rd, 2022 at 4:42 PM ^
With the butt kicking he is going to get, it will be his ass cheeks
October 23rd, 2022 at 4:55 PM ^
I love that everyone gets together for it and seems to enjoy themselves but I cannot get behind a song about getting cheated on and somehow glorifying it. Idk good time to go get snacks when they play it I guess.
October 23rd, 2022 at 6:40 PM ^
Some Detroit musicians I googled: Eminem, Bob Seger, Alice Cooper, The White Stripes, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and the Temptations.
Surely, one of these talented artists/bands has a catchy theme song that everyone in the stadium knows and could sing along to. Eminem and The White Stripes are of the 2000’s era.
I like music of all generations, I just don’t quite get why this is now the Michigan Stadium theme song?
October 23rd, 2022 at 8:11 PM ^
Speaking of Motown, although they met at Tuskegee Institute in Alabama, the Commodores signed with Motown in 1972 and in 1985 (after Lionel Ritchie had left the group) had a hit with a song that might be appropriate for a night game at The Big House during what's now known as HBCU Month.
October 23rd, 2022 at 9:27 PM ^
If we are going Commodores, can't we just tweak Brick House to Big House?
October 25th, 2022 at 2:21 PM ^
That might take a lot of tweaking, but with creative tweaking (far more than I can offer), it could lead to occasional twerking in the stands.
Ow, in The Big House
Wolverines just might be lettin' it all hang out
In The Big House
This team’s stacked and that's a fact
Ain't holding nothing back
October 23rd, 2022 at 8:32 PM ^
I didn't know that music had a geographic restriction...
October 23rd, 2022 at 11:49 PM ^
You (and your list of forced replacements) are invalid because you failed to list Iggy Pop.
October 24th, 2022 at 7:04 PM ^
Ha. Good catch.
October 24th, 2022 at 3:49 AM ^
I hear that it arose organically.
October 24th, 2022 at 1:16 PM ^
Jeez...I get having a song to get people excited and pumped up is great. I also love The Killers, and the song in general is pretty good. But.....this needs to go away. Terrible song choice for a football venue.
