Is there an argument to be made that OSU would be a better match-up for us than Georgia, and that we should root for an OSU upset?  We already know that OSU can't handle the psychological demons of playing us and will implode under the pressure of self-doubt.  Frankly, CJ Stroud doesn't scare me at all. The guy is a whiner, not a leader and he isn't gonna bring it when the pressure's on.  Maybe a lucky victory over UGA is the best outcome.

Our Happiness points for winning the NC by beating Ohio State is 1000

Our Happiness points for winning the NC by beating Georgia is 800

Our Sadness Points for losing the NC to Ohio State is -1000

Our Sadness Points for losing the NC to Georgia is -100

So even if chances of winning against Ohio State is higher than our chances of winning against Georgia, our expected Happiness/Sadness points are probably higher playing Georgia than Ohio State.

I don't know why we've collectively decided that we need a new shitpost every day.  Maybe I'm developing my "get off my lawn" angry old man personality, but I don't see the need to clutter up the boards with bullshit.  If you've got news, or unique analysis/insight, let's hear it.  I feel like we're trying to cultivate a higher standard of what's worthy of an mgoblog post, but not everybody's on board.

Well, put it this way. Beating Georgia will be much harder than beating Ohio State. Georgia is not the best they were last year but they are still a touchdown favorite, at least, over Michigan.

Best case scenario is OSU beats GA and UM beats OSU again. If that were guaranteed I think everyone would take that as the preferred result. Elevates the BIG profile which DOES matter and will matter even after the 12 team playoff format starts. The whole “higher seeded team” component makes it important to change the perception of the SEC being heads and shoulders above all others.

And how delicious does 3 in a row with them coming to A2 in 2023 sound!?

There are several reasons to root against OSU but I think most of us don’t want to try and beat them a 3rd straight time.

Losing to GA and finishing 2nd would still be a great season. Losing to OSU and finishing 2nd - yuck! Would erase the bad taste in the Buckeye’s mouth too.

So, fuck em!

We’ve already established dominance over OSU. We know we can dominate them. We need to face UGA and beat them too.

Okay, maybe we don’t but need us to face and beat UGA. Still have a bad taste in my mouth from the first half of that semi game last year. The only way to get rid of it is to beat them.
