If he can wear it, then Mealer is my choice.

ever.

Why not Fingerstache? Taylor Lewan would be a good choice. You can't go wrong with Mad Jack or Jordan Kovacs either.

I think Denard should wear 48.
Signed,
That Guy Who Created The Thread About How Denard Should Wear A Legacy Jersey (as if 16 isn't his legacy already).

It will be Kovacs. And deservingly so.

It will allow Carl Grapentine that moment to announce, when the defense goes on the field, a number change; "Now wearing number 48, Jordan Kovacs..." And that announcement will supply Dave Brandon and the 100,000+ homecoming faithful the feel-good moment that makes the Legends Patches Program seem like it is working.

He deserves it and its the only one that makes sense...

Since Ford married a brunette and Gibbons likes brunettes, I say give it to Gibbons!

Clone Denard twice.
October 8th, 2012 at 12:27 PM ^
Let's elect who wears the number....oh wait. But in all seriousness, was Ford only a center or did he play any other positions as well?
October 8th, 2012 at 12:41 PM ^
Like many other players in his day, he had a couple roles on the team. If I am not mistaken, Gerald Ford was also a linebacker, but I don't know how often he actually played this position.
October 8th, 2012 at 2:01 PM ^
He played both center and linebacker regularly (two way player).

KOVACS FOR PRESIDENT!!!
October 8th, 2012 at 1:56 PM ^
Seconded. Honestly the guy deserves some kind of special recognition, IMO.

Are there any poli sci majors on this years squad?
October 8th, 2012 at 2:37 PM ^
At least not upperclassmen. I went looking to see if any were at the Ford School and came away with nothing. Freshman usually don't have a declared major, so that would leave a few sophomores that might be Political Science majors declared on the roster.

How about we put it on Scheelhaase and whoever rips his head off first, gets to wear it?

Wanted to make this reply under the guy who commented about putting the jersey on Scheelhaase and whoever tears his head off first gets the jersey... Sorry for the confusion.

My inside AD sources say Kovacs got it....
I guess we'll see how good my sources are...
