"Who's got it better than us?" Chant in the stadium [reinstated]

Submitted by PeterParker on

Having not been to a game yet this season, I was wondering if the student section or fans in general at the stadium have been doing the "Who's got it better" chant during games.  Could be a cool thing to have half the stadium ask the question and the other half respond with a resounding "NOOOBODY"...

[Ed-S: reinstated. And while I'm hijacking I might as well propose that this not be a stadium chant but a localized call and response tradition like the cowbell. I've been doing this as the clock runs out on home games at the top of my section.]

I like the idea, but with the lag in a stadium as big as the big house it might sound a little chaotic...espcially since "Who's got it better" is a bit long to chant (or even worse if you do the full "Who's got it better than us")

I'm still trying to get half of the stadium to chant "This is Michigan" and the other half to respond "FERGODSSAKE!" so lets accomplish that before we move onto your chant, ok?

I think this could be cool within an individual small section, with one person calling out Harbuagh's part, and the rest of the immediate vicinity responding "Nooobody."  Probably pretty hard to coordinate though.

One must always ask oneself whether one's behavior at a sporting event would have been acceptable to Frederick Louis, the Prince of Whales, whilst attending a cricket match.  Chanting and similar vocalizations are too reminiscent of the behavior of apes and should be considered vulgar and eschewed.

If you look closely, he's not touching the baby, it's just that the depth of him in relation to the baby is difficult to percieve.  However, if you do look closely, you can see he is beginning to mouth "Why the hell are there flying babies in here?  Hey painter, are you getting this shit?"

but there have been Harbaugh chants eminating from the student section... which I don't necessarily like much.... and also "Rudock Sucks" which I absolutely hate.... followed by "Put in Morris"...... god I hate my tickets. I'm surrounded by douchebags.

Keep the extended interrogatories on shirts and in press conferences.

Keep the cheers simple. And loud. This is Texas Tech this weekend (this is late in the game, during a TV timeout). It was eardrum busting in the stands.

So I have been doing this. Not as a chant but a little section 18 tradition that's now 3 games old. As time is winding down on a win I have been standing at the top of the section by the exit and yelling at the top of my lungs, "Who's got it better than us?" and about 30 people respond. I don't think would work as a stadium chant. But so far people seem to like it as a circumstantial tradition. It also gives me a chance to really cut loose with my voice because I have a rather loud set of pipes

Did you decide to create a thread for the heck of it as soon as you got the email saying you crossed the 100pt threshold?

In any case, thank you sir for being the poster child for why we need a minimum probationary membership period and a higher point threshold for creating threads.
