Who's going to the Spring Game and what else are you doing Saturday?
Just wanted to touch base and see who was going and what most people are doing before and after the game? Lots going on with the lacrosse, baseball games and other fun stuff. I'm leaving at 5am in the morning to head up with a buddy of mine, looking forward talking football, watching some football and helping out Motts. I hope to see a lot of you there! Go Blue!
edit: also forgot to add the MgoBlog Q&A at Rub BBQ. Think i might have to check that out!
Im taking my Dad to the Spring game Saturday, it's going to be the third year in a row we've attended. Hopefully it won't rain this year like the previous two. As for after, probably head downtown A2 for beers.
I was told by the ticket office that we should be contacted today regarding details for VIP tickets for the Spring Game. I believe it is club seat access to watch the practice.
Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.
I live in the Chicago area, heading out today for the game, will visit family and friends and go to the game tomorrow. This will be my 5th year in row coming to this game. Not that exciting, but it is a chance to see some football.
Going tomorrow. Hopefully the Maize finally breaks through and gets a win against Blue!

(Bows head, says a prayer, wiped away tear).
Cot damnit.
Just for that, now I hope Blue effing CRUSHES Maize.
i will admitt that it isnt really worth the 5 hour drive ffor me, but its a fun road trip for the day and it helps Motts out.
I'm going up with my dad to check it out. This will be like fifth spring game haven't been up for it since 2011 so excited. I always like to check out the young kids on team in spring game. It's suppose be cold like a November day lol. Has anyone been to golf sidewalk sale? Pretty good stuff on sale?
Do you think we will have a bigger crowd than Nebraska? They had a pretty large crowd.
i highly doubt it. Untill UM starts having a "real" spring game the crowds wint be there. i'm guessing around 20-25 thousand.

but just a reminder that BTN has the "spring" game on starting at 9p EDT. Have a great time to everyone going .... be looking for some recruits in the stands. I remember when Denard came to the spring game ... he was actually holding people's babies so the parents could get a picture of him with their kid !! Unbelieveable and Denard wore that famous smile all day long !
GO BLUE!

Or will it just be an open practice because of the injury to Bellomy?

The Spring Game is literally the first stop tomorrow in a rather busy afternoon, but I will have the family in tow. I have taken the kids to a few in-season games already, but this will be the first Spring Game for them. After that, we head south to Dundee for my nephew's 4th birthday party. I plan to buy his part of his present at the game too (his parents are not sports people and he has no gear as yet, but I am always willing to introduce Michigan fandom to people).

Last year I snuck away from the wife and newborns and wore my Big Ten Championship hat and Tim Hardaway was nice enough to sign it as he was walking into the PDC. I didn't know what to say, so I just thanked him for staying.
This year I'll be wearing my Final Four hat...And carrying a sharpie just in case.

Because who can resist the call of 35 degrees and a 20 MPH wind?

The best one for me was 2009. Sunny weather, locker room tour and Tate lid it up. It was also the first time I saw Denard. Seems like it was just yesterday...

when i went in 01 or 02 it was so hot that we got sunburned. i bet i drank 3 bottles of water just sitting there watching. i bet the players hated that heat that early.
But I do remember a couple where it was the first time outside for an extended time in the warm sun after the dark winter, and coming home with raccoon eyes from wearing the sunglasses.

Seth, i dont know the area that well' but would it be better to walk to RUB or drive over? i'm probably going to park at Pioneer.
April 12th, 2013 at 12:15 PM ^
You're going to be better off walking over. R.U.B. is only about 10 minutes walk NE of the Stadium.

Thank you.
But I'll put this here too.
http://annarbor.com/news/warning-on-street-parking-restrictions-in-effe…
I was going to park over there and walk to the game, so when I was done at RUB I'd be close to the car (if I didn't have to do a pick up at 8 I probably would just walk everything). But with the parking blocked off, might be easier to walk to RUB.

I'm going and taking my 4 year old daughter. She needs to see the Big House but will have little interest in the game itself. Anyone know if we can bring in food to the game? I've gotta make this fun for her.
