Where is Alum96?

I am going to ask the question that many others on the board have asked: where is Alumn96? He went from being a core poster on this board to dissapearing. According to his profile, he hasn't posted in 36 weeks. Does anyone know him personally? Is everything OK with him?

that actual knowledgeable football people like Steve Sharik, Space Coyote, Magnus, etc. take a break from this place, at least the message boards, every once in a while.

Most of us are idiots, and probably sound like the drunk dude at the stadium constantly yelling for the back-up Qb (whomever it is) to be put in after every incompletion.

The level of discourse here is often pretty high-quality, at least compared to other sites I've seen. For people who are actually coaching (not sure if Steve Sharik is still ocaching, but I think Space Coyote is taking a break), it's difficult to post during football season since it's such a time-consuming job.

I actually went to his profile today and came very close to doing a post like this.

I hope he's doing ok and comes back soon. No signs of a melt down before he stopped posting.

I'm sure there's a small percentage of Mgousers that pass away every year. I've often wondered what happened to Herm, Benn, Jay Z, The Monarch, The Knowledge, CRex, and so on.

I saw that hatter or someone like that commented on one of his last comments that he's missed. can't remember who it was, but that was maybe a month ago. have wondered the same thing about him.

Decided to stop posting until we beat OSU and MSU. Either that or he's dead. So hopefully we'll beat them in the NC game, because he's only a few years older than me. And I'm not ready to die yet.

More than once I wondered, after all the diaries he wrote last year, whether he was trying to get hired by the site. And when that didn't happen, and he disappeared, I wondered if he had relocated to another site (and is now writing there). MnB or something.

Granted, that's just speculation. More likely he jut got burned out with writing for no pay or had other obligations (family, work, grad school, travel, involvement in a niche electronic music scene, etc.) get in the way.
