What in this picture doesn't belong?
This past weekend I went to the Texas @ Texas Tech game in Lubbock. I didn't really care one way or the other which team won, so I figured why not wear my Michigan gear? I didn't get much feedback one way or the other, except for a few 'Michigan?' or 'How'd they do today?' comments while we were tailgating and on the way to the game. About midway through the 2nd quarter a film crew was coming up through the stands and since I was wearing my #2 Michigan jersey I wanted to make sure to get it in front of the camera. As the guys left the section after they took the shot I took a closer look and saw that their press passes said 'ESPN Road Trip.' I watched the game afterward to see if I could find myself but I couldn't so after some searching around finally found the 'Road Trip' video and was able to pull the screen shot.
I will have to say that I was disappointed overall with how tame the crowd was and how uninvolved the crowd seemed to be in the game. We were sitting right behind the student section but could barely tell when they were/weren't cheering.
Any other good out of place in Michigan gear pictures?

In order for your html img tags to work, you need to first "Switch to plain text editor." Either that or just stay in rich editor and click the image button above the post text area.
EDIT: I see now that you also were linking to the flickr image page rather than the image itself. Here it is:

help. I tried a few times to get it right and accidentally hit 'save' instead of preview the last time and you saw all that I was able to manage. Thanks for the repost

Flickr appears to attempt to prevent people from doing this by handling image right-clicks, so you have to view source and pilfer the img url out of there.

I would say a Michigan fan belongs at every game and that the title to your thread is incorrect. However very nice picture. It is great to see M fans all over the country

Is that Sam McGuffie?

Crable fan. Or is it Cato June. Sorry, just going through numbers history in my head to see what I can remember without cheating. Hmm, any other #2's of note.......
September 23rd, 2010 at 8:30 PM ^
Charles Woodson didn't wear #2 or anything
September 23rd, 2010 at 8:37 PM ^
He wore Nike, is the point.
September 23rd, 2010 at 11:18 PM ^
Crable and June also wore Nike. Crable's senior season was the last year with Nike.

did you get the number of the blond next to you? Just curious.

Your picture does not work, I would like to see it.
And no, I do not have any out of place Michigan gear pictures, or even stories, sorry.
Edit: Of course, I decided not to be lazy and looked at the page. Pretty funny how badly you stick out. Bravo my good man!

A bunch of red zombies about to devour the only decent human being left in the area?

I think good, engaged fanbases are the exception not the rule.

Also, Lubbock is dry (in the no acohol sense). That's gotta be a factor.
September 23rd, 2010 at 9:19 PM ^
except on game day. Actually one of the coolest things about the stadium/surrounding area. Everyone walks with beer to the game. You can go down the sidewalk, walk past cops and go right up to the stadium before you have to throw out your alcohol.
September 24th, 2010 at 1:14 PM ^
You can now buy alcohol within the city limits. However, even when you couldn't, I definitely wouldn't call Lubbock "dry." That's like saying there aren't liberals in Ann Arbor.

I wore my old away jersey (the one with the block M on the shoulder) to a Texas A&M vs. KSU game last year. I did get a bunch of shit talked to me, especially one drunk ass half-naked sorority skank yelling "FUCK MIZZOU" at me. Good times.
September 23rd, 2010 at 4:35 PM ^
Nothing like that heated Michigan, Texas A&M/Kansas State rivarly. Full of hate.
September 23rd, 2010 at 5:31 PM ^
On behalf of Texas A&M, I'd like to apologize for subjecting you to the horror of one of the more pathetic displays of football in school history.
September 23rd, 2010 at 5:41 PM ^
I think you are both missing the point of that story: half-naked sorority skank. Try to pay better attention next time.

Geaux_Blue? No argument from me, but he isn't really less harsh.

Yeah baby. Kudos to you.
September 23rd, 2010 at 4:39 PM ^
I would say that you probably should have put your hand in between your left shoulder and the breast of what appears to be a very attractive blonde..either way kudos to you supporting the blue away from home.
September 23rd, 2010 at 4:47 PM ^
I was going to ask if she was accompanying you to this game, or better yet accompanying you home afterwards.
September 23rd, 2010 at 9:22 PM ^
hottie. She's actually my buddy's GF and he was standing right behind me. I was actually standing out in the aisle with everyone else standing up on the bleachers. The Waldo shirt was actually a TTech shirt, one of the 'girly' type shirts that apparently has no regard for the actual school colors.
September 23rd, 2010 at 4:40 PM ^
That girl in the pink striped shirt on the right. What the hell is she wearing? The Michigan fan belongs in every picture.
September 23rd, 2010 at 4:49 PM ^
That's Waldo, bro.
September 23rd, 2010 at 4:40 PM ^
for sticking out like a sore thumb.
September 23rd, 2010 at 4:43 PM ^
I would say the fact that you really didn't care about the game and got better seats then the 10,000 people in Red behind you... Nice picture. Well played...
I didn't read you writeup first and went looking for the picture right away. My first thought was that the picture was of you sitting in the middle of a bunch of OSU fans. My second thought was, how did you survive that ordeal? My third thought was, hey, that blond is cute. My fourth though was, I better go read the write up now.....

Have you looked at the Maize Rage during a game before?. My family laughs at me because I was ridiculously easy to spot amongst the sea of Caucasians at the games I went to last year. Also probably helped i was next to the M&M.
September 23rd, 2010 at 6:22 PM ^
somewhere I had a picture of me sitting in front of the Horseshoe wearing my 1997 National Champions Sweatshirt. A couple years ago I had an auditing class in Columbus so I made sure I was wearing maize and blue. I got some shit but not too much. I had another class down in Cinci but I decided to wear my Eastern Michigan stuff in an effort to trip up the hicks...

I think we need to make this a thing. I'll be rocking the blue #2 at the UTEP-Rice game this week in honor of McGuffie.
September 23rd, 2010 at 7:32 PM ^
Actually, in that game the students were having a "noise out" they were all supposed to stay silent during Texas possesion.

I'll be at SMU tomorrow night as they face TCU. I'll be the one guy in Maize. Might not stand out well in a Red-Out, but hey, like I give a shit. I'll be aiming for ESPN as well.
Go Horned Frogs!
