What one question would you ask Warde Manuel?
I will be at a fundraiser for a hospice organization in upstate NY tomorrow night. Warde Manuel has been a big supporter of this particular organization for many years and typically attends the affair. It is a very informal event with lots of ESPN personalities that guests get to mingle with. So, assuming he shows up I know that I'll at least get to chat with him for a few moments. If you could ask him 1 question what would it be? Best question (as determined by my wacky brain) gets asked. And yes, I'll plug MGOBLOG's place in the World. Have fun!
Can we wear color-on-color - blue and red jerseys - for the Michigan vs. Ohio State game?
We do all these fake "throwbacks", but this is an authentic throwback.
Newspaper accounts of the dedication game for Michigan Stadium in 1927 talk about the scarlett Buckeye jerseys in Michigan Stadium.
As recently as the famous Snow Bowl, you can see that Michigan wore its blue home jersey at Columbus.
I do like the USC-UCLA color on color thing. Both are iconic uniforms (even if I hate the buckeyes look). I would be okay with the fine if we started doing that.
I believe that the NCAA allows this now, and it's something the two schools' ADs can actually make happen.
Somebody did a photoshop mock-up of what this would look like, and it looked great.
If anybody can find that and post it it would be awesome.
Nobody asked you.
Both are simultaneously the HOME TEAM.
What would be really funny would be the Michigan Wolverines waltzing into Spartan Stadium in Lansing with the home navy jerseys on.
Sacrilege!
Rose Bowl is home for UCLA
The USC-UCLA game is beautiful to watch. The home vs home uni would work against MSU as well.

Can you show me a picture of the new uniforms? Home and away. Sending said picture to my phone would be better actually. And I will definitely delete your number immediately!
peanut butter?
Ask him what his thoughts are with regard to night games. I don't think he is against them, but he certainly wasn't overly supportive of them either when he arrived.
I know he won't answer questions about schedules because the lawyers get involed and until the ink is dry he won't comment.
Yeah, I'd curious to hear his answer to this.
How are you?
Mel after Red?
What play are we gonna run?

When can we get rid of the piped in music at the Stadium?
I was in the middle of typing something to this effect, but figured at least one person already posted it, so I will just reply to you.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he retracted this statement a bit from his first blow-up "no night games" comment.
If I remember correctly, he mentioned that he was only referring to the 2016 season as if to say that in the future there will be night games again at the Big House.
His "retraction" may have been mostly due to the high amount of criticism from his comment, but this would be a good example of how Warde is listening to the fans a bit before pulling a Brandon and doing what he wants to do just because he wants it his way. Even if he meant what he said initially, to see him possibly go back on that due to the realiztion that his wishes may not be in the best interest of the school/fans is a major plus. I was really happy to hear him say what he did even if he did intiially mean 100% of what it sounded like (no night games ever).
Is it too much to ask to get the "maize" on the helmets, jerseys, and pants to all match?
BTW, compare all the responses on this thread to what they would have been 2 years ago under Dave Brandon.
Our life has gotten much better.
They are closer, but they still don't fully match.
They all seemed to match OK in the '90s and '80s. I'm not sure what happened since then . . .

Yes, the whole ball of wax, even the pom poms and season shirts.
Right now it's all totally random, from highlighter yellow to golden mustard yellow.

home-and-home on the schedule soon? Payback for that beatdown would be personal for me since it would have been the first game I'd have been alive for Michigan

The campus police are way too fucking paranoid. The stadium should be open pretty much all the time. Hire a few security guards and open the gates.
