I don't know where you live, but Santa hasn't come here yet.

No Michigan stuff yet (got that for the Class of 2015 brother and "Michigan Mom"), but I'm pretty ecstatic with my 2010/11 Arsenal home jersey and a Gunners hoodie. Going full Gooner for my semester abroad.

...although I am Man. City til I die.
Also, Andy, when Matt Goudis committed I saw this photo and did a double take
I thought you were kicking for us next year...similarity is pretty damn striking.

Very nice room sir. When I graduate and become a man (17more years til im 40 and officially a man) I would like to have a room like that. Thank you for the added inspiration.

you trample over anyone in your way to get there.
In the spirit of Christmas, of course.

Wore a Maize and Blue Block M t-shirt to work as Christmas gift to me on Wednesday. i was quite moved by her awesome gesture.
December 24th, 2010 at 11:07 PM ^
That is a very cool gift, and demonstrative of a very good sport. Very rare, indeed, coming from a Buckeye.

Awesome gift that I would never give in a billion years.

No Comment. Use your imagination.

Mom sent me the Big Chill jersey in time for the game, Dad and Grandpa got us bowl tickets, my sister helped me pick out the SEC-tailgate-style maize and blue sundress for the bowl game, Mom then handed me down a set of my grandmother's pearls to wear with said sundress, my other grandmother got me more VS Pink Michigan wearables, and (drumroll please) I got the entire Golden Girls series on DVD!
Seriously, I can't remember any other Christmas even coming close to being this MICHtastic, not even the one right after I got accepted.

Young lady, you are going to make some young man very, very happy one day. Those gifts show your priorities are in good order.

You should hold seminars for other women. You would become a millionaire.

Are grandma's pearls maize or blue?
December 25th, 2010 at 12:48 AM ^
but she'll be at the Gator Bowl with us in more than enough of her own Michigan gear. She is an extremely spirited alumna from the class of '57 and the only times I see her without at least an M hat or sweatshirt are for formal occasions, when she wears an AAUM lapel pin.

I got a pair of adidas sweatpants with Michigan running down the side of them.
Other than that I doled out the Michigan stuff. I got a blue pillow with a block M on it for my sister (A high school junior who wants to go to Michigan, so I am doing my best to get her there and convince her to try to get in) and a coffee cup with my mother's name on it for my mom.
Yes, twas a great Christmahanukwanzadan indeed :)

haven't opened any wrapped presents so far, but I've already got a kicker and some delicious buckeye tears, so I'm already pretty happy.

i gave my wife a cowbell for the bowl game. I tried to find a ridge rider one but all of the stores around ann arbor have red ridges. So I got one without it for her.
December 25th, 2010 at 12:46 AM ^
You could try Percussion World in Ferndale (Woodward and 9 mile) or Motor City Guitar in Walled Lake. They both generally have a better selection then those stores in AA. If you call 'em up tell them you want the LP Ridge Rider Classic. It's big and it's got a yellow ridge. You should probably be able to get it before the bowl game.

A sweet Michigan zippy. The one with Michigan embroidered (sp?) accross the front and a pair of Michigan pajama pants the resemble the MBB warm up blues! My wife loves me.

Another maize long sleeve T, a #16 jersey that has yet to leave my body, and oh yeah monet for flights, hotel, and tickets to the Gator Bowl.
Life is good.

with a 16 jersey. Funny how all the Navarre fans are just now finally switching to Adidas :P
December 25th, 2010 at 12:30 AM ^
...That it's taken some Michigan fans this long to appreciate what a great quarter back Navarre was... Oh well, better late than never I always say! :)

when Navarre was the QB. I'm 23 now, so I would have been what...about 16 (!) when he graduated. Always did like him, though.

Two nights ago, I took my son for a last minute visit to Santa. After they were done talking about what my boy wanted for Christmas, Santa looked at me and said "I know what your dad wants for Christmas. . . a Gator Bowl win for Michigan." I replied an enthusiastic "yes", and he said he'd "see what he could do."
As we left, my son was truly stunned that Santa knew my Christmas wish. I explained that he's Santa and that's how he knows. My son is six and beginning to doubt the Santa story, so this little bit of Santa Claus clarivoyance probably extended his belief for one more year.
When we got home he ran to his mom to tell her the story, while I hung up the maize and blue "M" hat I had on during our trip. : )
I hope his Christmas magic extends to New Year's day.
December 25th, 2010 at 4:15 PM ^
Bravo to you, we need more proud fathers teaching their sons right. The belief in Santa can dwindle, but never let him think that Michigan won't win. Let's keep Fielding Yost's words alive: "Michigan will not lose a game."
December 25th, 2010 at 1:03 AM ^
The kids hooked me up with a Big Chill shirt (not a jersey but still nice of them). My daughter also told me, "Dad, I'll get the best grades so I can go to your school!" That was the best gift. I'll be able to use that on her for the next 10 years if she starts to slack.
December 25th, 2010 at 1:40 AM ^
My girl did spring for the talking Kenny Powers bobblehead doll. Nice to know I can be reminded on a daily basis how important it is to act like a "Goddamn champion" while having the opportunity to inform unwanted visitors/callers that they are "fucking out." I could not be more thrilled
I guess another moral of the story would be: There's someone for everybody.

Lots of UM presents being tossed around with my family. I proudly gave my bro in law an Mgoblog gift - "Worst State Ever." He's an MSU grad, but he's (1) a great sport; (2) married my sis, a UM grad; and (3) had said a year ago when he saw mine, "I would wear that shirt all the time." Ahhhhhhhhh, Ohio, how you bring us all together in our pretentious hatred.
