If I may add really quickly, Rich Eisen is a Michigan alum, wrote with Adam Schefter at the Daily, so his shout out to Bo isn't all that strange. Still, very neat.
Don't know if you want to add this, Brian, but the Daily came out with a longer story on Brock Mealer this afternoon. He's going to be walking down the aisle at his wedding in December.
What if Michigan is making Rick Leach and his #7 a "Michigan Legend"
What if they want to give that #7 to Shane Morris
What if they don't want to make this move a year from now because it would look bad to strip DG of #7 just to give it to an incoming stud freshman instead of the senior quarterback
His Twitter bio changed to "University of Michigan QB #??" a while back and so this threw me. So it wasn't necessarily his choice -- and he wore 7 in high school -- but they had to wait until Roy took #21.
My thought is It seems he was taken off of #7.
Was it because A) He'll be used as a wide receiver (and backup QB) and they wanted to give him a different number, thinking #7 is too purely a quarterback number? Or B) It's for somebody else. Could #7 be made a "legends" number and given to Denard? What if Denard would be a legend down the road, wouldn't he be a legend as #16?
It's not popular on here, but from experience, Rosenberg is one of the finest, most honest men I've ever met. Everyone's got their own opinion, that's what makes this business great, but I wish him the best of luck with Sports Illustrated.
Rohan's headed to intern with the New York Times this summer. Is already writing some stuff for them. Everything I see from that kid is an epic. He's got a heck of a future.
The Daily has four beat writers covering each major sport, so saying "the last three or four Michigan beat writers" is a little misleading, because in all there are probably a dozen or so every year covering big-time sports.
AA.com doesn't currently have any former Daily writers on staff, either, which is surprising considering the number of young journos coming out of the Daily. Or maybe they're just going elsewhere. Got this list from a buddy at the Daily:
2010: Andy Reid (TheWolverine), Courtney Ratkowiak (national freelancing), Mike Eisenstein (NBC)
2011: Nicole Auerbach (USA Today), Ryan Kartje (Bloomington Herald-Times)
2012 interns: Tim Rohan (New York Times), Michael Florek (USA Today), Stephen Nesbitt (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette), Ben Estes (MLB.com/Oakland A's), Matt Slovin/Zach Helfand/Everett Cook (Baltimore Sun)
Love the last question of the press conference, where Hunwick thinks that reporter is making fun of his age. "I guess I don't really understand the question." No, Shawn, not you being 24, you being the 24th straight Michigan team to make the CCHA semis.
Can't imagine how quickly the staff is going to sit this kid down and teach him a lesson about shutting up with the media. Sad, because he's a dynamic speaker like Kalis.
Not to be too picky, but Dave Dye took the quote from the WTKA Signing Day broadcast, so the credit should go to Sam Webb.
According to the Daily, Dave Ablauf says no way to the OHL, OHL "source" says a doubleheader is planned, but not necessarily at the Big House, could be Comerica.
Wish they would have asked a few follow-up questions before talking about his stick. They should know they'd get more reads from the MGoBlogeratti that way.

The Daily has actual details here. OP might want to update.
Beer is a no, of course, but field access, stands access and concourse access are all a yes.
That was beautiful. Denard telling his story because he's the only one who knows it. He never promised to be polished, he just promised to be honest.
In short, it's this Thursday-Friday. Denard Robinson will be speaking at the lunch on Friday.
No, it's the one that was discussed around here earlier this week.
Who's Ohio State?
This was just tweeted by the Kingston (OHL) head coach:
RT:
@birkas613 Kitchener needs to let this one die. I don't think the CHL is so innocentSounds 100% unlikely.
That number isn't final, it's already up to 19 and I don't think final rosters have been announced across the board.
I'm just waiting for the OP to either close his single quote (') or open the double quote ("). I mean, how are we not seeing this?

Oh, could you care less? Then we're all set here.

Here's his piece de resistance, IMO: 10/26 profile of David Molk and his late mother
ESPN ran something of a copy and paste of the opening section right before the Sugar Bowl in January.
Any live stream?
They do.
Don't mind me, I'm just speculating.

Just thoughts.

Mods, lock this thread. It's over. The mic has been dropped, picked back up and dropped again.

4-3 now, Wohlberg with the goal. Less than 10 mins left.
Randall is the man. Pretty cool that the Daily has two writers there, too.
Early goal was from Treais ... good to have his production.
I love English, which is why I can't get over the 'd' missing in the thread title.
EDIT: Thanks for updating it. Now I would like to neg myself for being a grammar nazi.
Please no. Six days ago.

Red Wings thread at 11 in the morning? YOU KNOW IT! Hockeytown does it right.
Wings taking it in 7 — it was this way all along. History will be made.
*cue Pomp
Congrats, BiSB!

i'd like to be more like brady hoke. the first step? answer every question by starting with the word "well."
That 1923 uniform looks more like hockey gear. I can see Carl Hagelin tucking that shirt right in the back of those pads ... bork bork

For a site with readers that are so on-the-ball, I don't know what made you think no one had posted this 24 hours after it was announced...
Agreed. I didn't do that, but my brother in the music school did that and they essentially found a way to match his offers from other universities.
It all comes down to whether or not he gets redshirted the first year. If he does, you're screwed, you need him done in four years.
What's great is that you almost got to 100,000 signatures on the petition ;) Congrats on 2-years.
Glad to see that we have more Robinsons this year. Can never have enough, welcome Jerald!
The original video is great, the interview on ESPN was terrible. Louie was great, but First Take didn't really come up with anything creative.
He looks like he's mobile and has a good arm. Sign me up!
But srsly, look at 3:48 of the video and you'll see what kid we need to recruit. It was a double-whammy block!
