Chris Brown's highlight reel goal sealed sweep
If you missed it earlier, this is an absolutely filthy goal from Michigan's Chris Brown in the 3-0 win over Miami last night. He makes Miami's captain (one of several) Will Weber look foolish and goes top shelf for the third goal of the game.
Then he Tebowed along the boards.
Later, in typical Miami fashion, they went head hunting and Weber and Brown were given fighting majors and game misconducts in a scrum with a minute left. Refs didn't have a handle on the series at all, either night. So Brown will miss next Friday's game against Michigan State.

Did it make it? I didn't watch. Unless it's today's that it would be on. I hate weekend sportscenter. Also the Super Bowl is going to take up the vast majority :(

Looked just like Darren McCarty's goal in 1997 - even with the D man breaking his stick. CHOICE.

Weber and Brown both got game disqualifications. Important distinction as this means they'll both miss their next game.

Radio guys on the postgame show seemed to think Michigan could appeal it, but since Brown threw at least one punch, there's not much that can be done.

If anyone does have more info on this, that'd be great. I was wondering the same thing, if you get the automatic game suspension, I feel like that'd be something that they wouldn't let you appeal as it was ruled in game. But anything's possible.

No, it's something that can definitely be appealed with the league office. Probably won't go anywhere, but we can try.
It's interesting, when you search around for what's been going on in the CCHA as of late, Sergott and crew have had some pretty notable gaffes as of late, including a few phantom contact to the head major penalties that were anything but. I felt the Pateryn call last night was particularly soft in that regard, FWIW, but it's their call to make. And that's the problem.
I've felt pretty flabbergasted by CCHA officiating many a time in the past, but this weekend in particular seems like an entirely new universe of absurdity.

NIce Hands and great finish!

He did not "Tebow" along the boards. He clearly Denarded.
Great goal. Great game. Among the best moments was the crowd's reaction when Blasi was begging for ANOTHER review of Miami's non-goal. Go BLUE!

I said this in another thread but I'll say it again here. College hockey games should be able to be called early or something because I've seen it happen way too many times where Team A has the game sealed with a few minutes left so Team B decides to goon it up, take a punch of penalties and start fights, then Team A ends up getting a few guys out for the next game because of the fighting and it had nothing to do with the game
You could see before the fight, Brown took an extra poke at Knapp and no less than 3 Miami players were descending on him. They were looking for a fight

If "Tebow" ever makes it into the dictionary as an actual word, I am going to renounce the English language and move to some remote island nation where no one speaks a word of it.

It's not surprising Weber took a shot at Brown the next shift he was on the ice. They are just an undisciplined team, like Al Randall said, you would never see a Michigan player acting like that if we were down 3-0.

Great-looking goal.
This was the hardest potential sweep Brian was talking about; with it in the bag, hopefully this team earns another 1-seed and makes a run at the title.

That's how you become a TT on twitter worldwide!
We love you Chris Brown.

or cowardly incompetents. Either way, it's hard to imagine them doing a more ineffectually stupid job.

Weber sucks!
