"We Own Penn State": et in saecula saeculorum

Apologies for the thread but snowflakes didn't seem like the right place unless there was a pin entitled

"Penn State Snowflakes:  Classic Early MGoBlog Posts"

BONUS:  or "Penn State Snowflakes: The Happy Valley Experience (Is Basically the Same as 2007, Minus One Statue)" in a comment on the above:

...Also, can we talk about the ridiculous music they pump through the PA system?  ...Every other play, they played one of, like, 8 songs.  I can only take so much Zombie Nation, Seven Nation Army, and that Gladiator song.  They brag about how great their band is, but don't give them any opportunity to play.

Also I'm pretty sure that if you're at least 30 years old you could guess what year that was written +/- 1 based solely on the comments on that article.

(We love you, Brian.  Be well.)

Beaver Stadium just seems like an obnoxious environment to be in. Between the CONSTANT “OoohhOHOHOHOhhhOhhh” song the student section does with the band (idk what the song is called, sorry), the loud rock music and melodramatic guy screaming over the PA system, the mountain lion screaming sound effect after every first down… it’s just tacky and   seems like there’s way too much going on imo.

I see you’ve been banned now, but that wasn’t the song I was thinking of. It’s faster-paced, snd they play it during the game between plays. It was stuck in my head all day yesterday after the game.

edit: someone else mentioned it below— Seven Nation Army is the song I was thinking of. Their band plays it at a much faster tempo though.

I truly cannot say anything negative about Penn State fans. All of them that we interacted with during the game, on the streets, and the bars were awesome. I shared 3 rounds of shots with some at Sharkies. I've had a blast here.

I will say that the lion roar is annoying as shit. They play it way too much.

I went to the game a couple of years ago.  State college has quite the game day experience.  We had a lot of fun there except that the game didn't go our way.  The stadium experience is very overstimulated with the piped in music, lion noise and what not but the fans really get into it.

Penn State’s band is turning into USC (Conquest) and Florida State (Braves Cheer) where at this point, they might as well change their fight song to Seven Nation Army since its becoming the only damn song that they must play after every single down and have already played 50,000 times by the middle of the 1st quarter.

I’m so glad at the big house, we aren’t restricted to a one hit wonder.  There’s actual variety.

Penn St’s band was one of the more fun bands visiting the big house but it’s been a while since I’ve been, and the penn st band traveled.

Never been to happy valley but would love to attend a game for a white out vs Michigan or even osu…. Just one of the best home field experiences so I’d rather experience it against another team, not Michigan so I could enjoy it.  I’d be to worked up.

Imo in order of visitors to the big house…

Osu, ND, Penn st, Wisconsin, Iowa.
