Way OT Brooks Koepka annoyed by Bryson Dechambeau's spikes
I just thought this was hilarious and had to share
Phil tries pretty hard to stay in the good graces of the fans
Phil will always be #1 with me... "someone took a dump in the cup"... in Columbus Ohio!
Apart from congratulating him on the green, in his post-round interview, and via his Twitter.
While I am not at all a fan of DeChambeau, Koepka always seems to be complaining about something.
Exactly!
Agreed 100% on both MH!
You nailed it. Koepka reminds me of a bully in high school, that thinks he's too cool for everyone else. He's ripped on DJ, Rory, announcers, says he doesn't need any friends on tour.
If he keeps acting like this, pretty soon the hecklers could start in and that will really set him off.
I kind of like professional athletes that aren't trying to be buddies with their competition. There are plenty of examples of the greatest athletes in different sports that were notorious for their hyper competitiveness that had no interest in being friends with their opposition; sticking just with golf, Tiger was never known as the friendliest player. Obviously, Brooks isn’t Tiger, but I kind of like his similar, cold approach.
I honestly can't stand Koepka's attitude. The guy talks a huge game when he is winning, for example "Majors are the easiest tournaments to win." As soon as things start to go wrong, he blames his injuries or some other nonsense as to why it's going bad, then follows that up with "but I've got to be better" so it seems like he isn't making excuses.
I am only 30 too, so I wouldn't classify myself as the get off my lawn type.
I'm old and I agree with you. I think he's a douche and I've enjoyed watching him choke the last few majors he's been in contention
They're both super obnoxious, self-important dudes and the fact they clearly so irk each other is really very funny.
Absolutely ... and hopefully the rules body will get rid of anchoring the putter, period. HANDS ONLY ... no locking the grip on the arm or ANY part of the body.
AND ... just ban the metal spikes. They are NOT allowed on the majority of golf courses now. Pros do NOT need them.
Go Blue!
Koepka and Dechambeau are both obnoxious
Brooks and Bryson.
Hmmmm...are they twins?
Some brothers just can't get along, you know.
Are you implying that they could possibly be...
wait for it...
...Brooks Brothers?
*dad jokes*
Or maybe Stepbrothers
Both guys are two of golf's biggest jackasses, which is saying something.
From what I've heard, the PGA Tour skank wars are very real. A lot of these beefs are connected to that. See Phil v. Tiger 20 years ago.

Pictures? Links?
Cannot stand Bryson at all, and I thought the same about Brooks until he was on PMT a few times. He seems like a cool dude when he's not in front of the camera at tournaments.
If you call Bryson Dechambumb instead of Dechambeau, it'll make you feel better. Not really a fan of either, but Dechambumb annoys the hell out of me.
Bryson Douche-ambeau sounds like it might also fit well.
Clever names like “Dechambumb” annoy the hell out of me far more. Good thing you used it twice for that extra cool emphasis!!
It wasn't just the noise of the spikes either. Koepka said he was having a hard time reading the greens and Bryson said as he walked by, "you just have to find the right line."
So yeah, I don't blame Koepka for his reaction.
I believe he said something to his caddy about making a good shot. I didn’t here anything about right line.
now pair them up for the US Open
excellent idea!
Hmmm, checking possibility of alternate play pairing during Ryder Cup?
Bryson Dechambeau is the equivalent of that Beer League Softball player who shows up in metal spikes, sprints around the bases, and complains about every ball and strike.
He's the worst
And yells at people for missing the cutoff man
No one is stopping me from throwing that runner out at home from deep center! I can throw this softball over them mountains over there!!!
I’ve failed to ever throw out even one dude at third base from RF, but I’m going to keep throwing it there cuz if I finally do then I can flex and tell my kids! In the meantime runners at 2nd & 3rd for the 100th time instead of 1st & 3rd, who cares if we lose, as long as I look cool!
And wears all the ball gear, bring 10 bats, chews all game, wants to fight everyone...
Those guys suucccckkkk so much.
Are there any likable professional golfers?
Sure there are...Danny Noonan for example
The most likable are probably Phil, Rory, Rickie, Matsuyama, John Daly.....not very many.
Phil isn't very likeable if you followed his career.
-Insider trading.
-Complaining loudly about taxes when he's worth over 400 million
-Gambling debts, which is how he got into the insider trading.
Didn't really know anything about that. So yeah, doesn't sound likable lol
Phil is popular for a reason. he pays attention to his fans, acknowledges them, makes eye contact and gives them a thumbs up. He has said he learned from Arnie who set the standard for being kind to his fans.
I would agree with all but Daly. Don’t necessarily dislike him, just don’t like him much.
I like him because he's literally the only working class golfer I can think of. I would probably disagree with him on almost every social issue, but I admire a working class guy succeeding in a sport that is almost exclusively for rich families (at a high level).
None of those guys are what I would consider likable. Every one of them have beef with someone or a group of people. I mean, John Daly? He is a joke!
What did Matsuyama do?
Nothing, but that is the problem. Because of language issues, he does not really interact with other players or crowd. Nothing likeable, or not likeable about the guy.
I've had enough of you Gameboy.
mickelson is a golf version of eddie haskell.
his nickname on the tour? "FIGJAM," as in Fuck I'm Good Just Ask Me.
Quite a few: Phil, Rory, Justin Rose, Rickie Fowler, Lee Westwood, just to name some.
Jordan Spieth, Collin Morikawa, Max Homa (max is a funny Twitter presence)
Bryson is a self-promoting buffoon who reminds me of someone. I just can’t remember who.
I prefer to watch Paige Spirinac golf. She's okay.
I don't mind Dustin Johnson's wife either.
