Walker #6, K. Davis #23, Beilein Final Four Helped get McCaffrey?
Per the twitters:
Kareem Walker announced he will be #6 and Kingston Davis announced he will be #23. I know it was rumored that Kareem would take over Wheatley's old number (he wore it in hs) but didn't see Kingston taking on the Norfleet legacy.
Also Dylan's father and former Bronco posted this.
Few years back @LisaMcCaffrey6 & I went to the Final Four & chose to cheer for Michigan. Hope we kept those shirts!

They chose wisely. Like parents, like son.

The superlatives about James joseph keep going on and on about these kids. And then the parents, why would you not want to send your kid to him? While obviously QB TE and OT are his best developing positions, if my son is a top football recruit in this country, I am sending him to this guy because he instills greatness. Hopefully this convinces Peoples-Jones to go blue, one of the best players to come out of DPS in awhile imo. And Dylan Moses, cant wait for him to committ and people continue to gripe about the IMG connection.
This is just the beggining. IF Dylan mccaffrey is even a fraction of the game changer his older brother and dad were, we are getting an outstanding prospect to line up right after Peters. Big things ahead.

I guess it wasn't just because Norfleet played nearby in Alabama.

One of the cherished clips from the Hoke era that brings a smile every time

Yes, I always loved watching Norfleet play
February 16th, 2016 at 9:27 AM ^
or watching him dance?
Sorry, but that just screams "look at me, not my team", which is very fitting of the Hoke era.

Lots of hype and posturing that vastly exceeded actual in-game achievement.

When I think of #23 in Maize & Blue, I don't think Dennis Norfleet.
I think Jamie Morris.

And Chris Perry

It brings back a lot of fond memories to go over to Bentley and look at the previous owners, including Jim Betts and Lawrence Reid.
It is also interesting to note that some fellow named Jack Lousma wore it in 1955 and 1956.

I'll never forget his record breaking game against State (when he had 51 carries).

so small the bottom half of his number was tucked in his pants.

+1 to you both for playing.

I loved watching Jamie Morris play. He was drafted I believe by the Redskins even though he was considered way too small for the NFL. (His brother Joe was a longtime New York Giant.) I remember one game late in the season when the Redskins had been eliminated from playoff. They decided to see what they had in Jamie and handed him the ball almost 40 times. Tough, tough kid.

We actually preempted a lot of content to talk about Dylan McCaffrey last night on "Wolverine Wanderings", but this was the main point essentially - it is nice to see this sort of depth returning to the team again and it can only mean good things. For a few years, QB was another position where it seemed like we had a starter and then air, so for Harbaugh - through coaching and recruiting both - to turn that around is extremely refreshing and exciting.

depth at QB. When Rudock was knocked out @ Minn., Speight came in and led a game winning drive. Granted it took him a couple series to get going but there is no way in hell we win that game under Hoke.

I feel like this is an overreaction to someone stringing the words "Norfleet" and "legacy" together.
