1) He does realize that it was the Michigan defense that knocked Crist's ass out, right?  It is not like he got hurt against Purdue and then was unavailable for the Michigan game.  He came into the game healthy, and left with a booboo on his brain.

2)  Next year Crist will be back, but Floyd may not be.  He and Rudolph might be wise to enter the draft if they have the kind of year that they are expected to have.  Allen will be gone.  Those are the most intimidating parts of NDs offense right now.

3)  Next year, Woolfolk returns, and all of the young guys in the secondary have a full year of experience under their belts.  The Rudolph TD does not happen next year, nor does the 57-yard faux-TD.

4)  Even if Crist had the ND offense rolling (big if), Michigan would not have been as conservative on offense.  I think that there is still a lot of the playbook that did not get broken out because we didn't have to break it out.

I figured that would be his response after this game.  That and the fact that Denard did pretty much all of the damage and he said that Michigan was a one-man show.  However, Michigan knocked Crist out - it wasn't like he missed the game.  Also, 2 of their scores were on big mistakes by our secondary which one year from now will be lightyears ahead of where they are now.  ND is going to lose a lot of talent, but Michigan is still a VERY young team and should just continue to get better over the next couple of years.

In the meantime, I'll enjoy the win over ND and get ready to watch UM/UMass and let him worry about a game that is a year away.

Next time damefan needs to listen to Mike when he puts the tape on. I like Mike as the color man. I think he stays unbiased and gives it to ya straight. Enjoy him doing my Vikings games in the preseason.

Don't worry guys, damefan1 says he'll be in Ann Arbor next year for the night game.  Hopefully someone will be able to catch up to him then, see how he feels next year.
