is how Jeremy Gallon got his cloaking device
+Normal.
Gorgeous.
I like how Borges isn't overly technical in the video. He sounds like just a dude breaking down a play and simply pointing out the good and the bad and how to improve. I realize he might be playing down to the audience somewhat, but it's clear that he's a good teacher.
This is the best thing EVER! I love hearing the coaches really break down plays. I hope Mattison gets in the film room as well.
I'm overwhelmed.
The strength of the pack is the wolf,
And the strength of the wolf is the pack.
Don't know if this was gone the past few years or what, but good to see it is up, and presumably a part of what they are doing.
The saying was there when Rich Rod was too. The whole saying is actually on the wall:
Now is the Law of the Jungle-as old and true as the sky;
And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die.
As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk, the Law runneth forward and back-
For the strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack.
WINTERFEL!!!!!!
I'm crying.
I consider myself a rather knowledgeable football person, but my god, its incredible to see the level of football smarts displayed right there.... fergodsakes
I feel much more comfortable about the passing game this year after watching this video and I never get sick of watching that Gallon play. I still cant believe he was that open!
Brian, could you please get an interview with him after every game this fall so we can listen to his commentary while we read through your UFR? Shouldn't take too much of his time....
He's the best interview for football junkies, IMHO. I love listening to Hoke talk about the basics, but for a guy who loves to hear about the nuances of the game, Borges almost never disappoints. All of his press conferences are full of technical and tactical gems, and yet he still proves he's not just a nerd when he points out that toughness is the key attribute of a QB.
Nom, nom, nom...give me MOAR!
I loved his point about being able to tell exactly where the QB is looking because of the wings on the helmet. I'd never thought of that. God I love this coaching staff.
Yes, a fascinating little bit of "inside football" revealed there.
I wonder ... would defenders on the field be able to determine where the QB is looking based on that? Or would they just watch the eyes of the QB?
most helmets have a line down the middles, so it's not hard to see where they're looking, with michigan's wings it's just EASIER.
I could watch clips like this of Borges breaking down game film all day long. He obviously knows his stuff, but he also seems like a really cool guy.
when he gets a pocket passer to work with. I love Denard, don't get me wrong. But Borges is not really using his whole offense yet. While the threat of a running QB can be devastating, I think it's easier to exploit really good defenses with excellent passing. I think that's why passing is so prevalent in the NFL, the defenses are tough. You have to stretch them out all over the field and not let them box you in. I just hope we can lock up all the coaches on our staff for a long time. They kick ass.
Just normal
I should take 3 steps to the vending machine and not 4.
