UPSET ALERT: Miami early 15 pt lead on the Dookies
When does that ever happen?
“True loyalty is that quality of service that grows under adversity and expands in defeat. Any street urchin can shout applause in victory, but it takes character to stand fast in defeat. One is noise — the other, loyalty.”
They are losing by 35! Pretty unreal, watch them drop to like #4 after this.
Duke is fouling with under a minute left and down 30? Really?
Hail to the college whose colors we wear,
Hurrah for the Yellow and Blue!
Duke got 60 and Miami only won by 29.
Here comes the court rush!

Fuck duke, lose with some class...going for the steal down 30 with 10 seconds left? Lame
/this is probably overreaction but it seems very duke like to me
No over reaction. Spot on.
Wow, I actually typed that with a straight face. I'm going back to my beer and not type all the immature things I want to say about Coach K right now.
I wonder if Coach K was harping on them saying they'd better work hard to the last second. There was a play in the 2nd half where they inbounded the ball after giving up a bucket, and Miami came and stole it, took a shot, missed, got the rebound again. At that point you could tell Coach K was going Brian kelly on the sideline.
Touchdown Michigan!
and near upsets tonight. I'm so happy we play tomorrow night.
Jebus, 27 points? Has Duke ever lost by 27 points?
I think Clemson blew them out 74-47 a few years ago.
Years ago, maybe in the early 90s, I think they lost by 30 to UNLV too, but I could be wrong.

Oh yeah, and on bigger stages than this. They lost BIG to UNLV in the 1991 championship game by 30 points, 103-73.
"...what do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?"
"Fix the cigarette lighter."
That Duke-UNLV game was the last college basketball game played before the Fab Five hit the scene.
At a press conference before the championship game the next year, when Michigan was set to play Duke, reporters asked the Fab Five what they had been doing a year ago as high school students.
Jalen: "I was home in Detroit, rooting for UNLV."
Ray: "I was home in Texas, rooting for UNLV."
Chris: "I was in my living room, rooting for UNLV."
Jimmy: "I was at my friend's house, rooting for UNLV."
(From "The Fab Five," by Mitch Albom)
Gotta beat Purdue and @ Illinois if we want that #1 beside our name.

Miami had that lead at halftime, lol. This was a perfect storm of a college bball game. Rarely does a team hang 70 on Duke, so 90 is hilarious (with 80 of those points coming in the paint, lol.)
How many times have you been on the freeway and had someone fly by you at 100 mph then end up 2 cars ahead of you at the off ramp? What's the point? -Mark Harmon
Cue the Kate Upton lol
We hate Michigan State. We don't like Penn State too. We don't care for Minnesota, Wisconsin or Notre Dame but we all hate O-S-U.

Seth Curry was 0-10 from the field... ouch
Me fail English? That's unpossible!
For all the #1 talk we've got to take care of two things:
- Win our games vs. Purdue and Illinois
- Hope Kansas doesn't pass us (17 game win streak they are on?)
HAIL.
Kansas beat a solid team in K-State, more recently than we did I might add. We don't have as much flash-in-the-pan after this week even if we win both games.
Also I'm bugged that we'll probably be #2 in USA Today/Coaches poll, but that's just me...
Go Blue!
I still don't see how an 18-1 Kansas team would pass a 19-1 Mich team if both win out. Both teams have 1 loss to a ranked team, and 2 wins against ranked teams. The only edge Kansas has is that they have 2 road wins over ranked teams.
Michigan having an extra game over Kansas is just too much for them to pass us in the AP poll. At the same time, no way we pass them in the Coaches.
I don't see how it doesn't make sense. I'm not talking about the AP where we would undoubtedly be #1. Polls tend to follow the "step-up" approach. The better question is, when Kansas leads M this week in the Coaches' Poll, beats a ranked team on the road and (hypothetically) a top-25 RPI team in Oklahoma while Michigan beats two unranked teams (again, hypothetically), why in the world would they switch the two around?
Go Blue!
Duke students always get mad when they don't get a chance to enjoy the team at their best.
(Note: If you're too young for Elton Brand, this was the Duke student that got pissed because he declared early for the NBA before she could sleep with him.)
"This is the EMU game, not the emo game."
Still looking like that, I'll be Elton Brand for 3 or 4 minutes.
Purdue makes me nervous now. I think I'd be less nervous if they were a ranked team but now they make me nervous in a underdog/i-hope-we-arent-sleeping-on-this-game way
27 points 3rd biggest loss by a #1 team, and tied for 6th biggest by Duke.
"I love him, he's a great coach, he's a great mentor, he's a great friend. He's every single thing you want a college coach to be, and he does it flawlessly." -David Molk
Did idiot Lunardi tweet out to "The Duke Haters" about how they are still the best team in the country yet?
I mean we have one at both venues so it won't hurt RPI, I believe.
I honestly can't believe I actually just wrote that. Obviously won instead of one. Wow I need to sleep. No excuse though.
Tubby Smith is kind of a crap in game coach. So is Crean, which is good news for us, as those two teams are the only ones with as much talent as us in this conference.

Dicky V is losing it.
