Gotta disagree with you here comrade.  I know disappointment and frustration are occupying our minds right now, but seeing the team keep winning on the field in spite of all the headlines, hurdles, and other B.S. is the biggest middle finger the team could give to every pedantic whiner who bemoans a level 3 violation as some great competitive advantage.

Fun fact: Since CS was suspended (thus ending any theoretical advantage), all Michigan has done is hand each subsequent opponent their worst loss of the season (save for one garbage time TD to Purdue).  One of those losses was the worst loss in the history of Spartan Stadium...

i never thought I’d ever say this since as soon as the season ends I can’t wait until the next season

but i am completely apathetic about college football. head coach suspended 1/2 the year, numerous coaches fired, potentially more coaches out/punished ….

y’all wanted M to “cheat like everyone else” and “win at all costs”

well, we apparently tried and fucking suck at it, and it has completely destroyed the credibility of the coaching staff and university

im not even upset at Ohio state, the B1G, or the NCAA anymore, as it’s pretty clear they had plenty of reason to be poking around. and yea the hypocrisy is maddening … OSU of all people setting us up for cheating? well, it’s not what you know, but what you can prove, and OSU is phenomenal at cheating and covering their asses. we just fumble around like asshats. the university and the coaching staff fucked this up to no end

i’ll have a lot more free time on saturdays I guess

I was just hoping we'd pay players or help them skirt past archaic and asinine admissions policies. Not this clusterfuck. And it didn't even help us. Just makes us look bad.

But in the end, if we win out, no one can say it's tainted cuz up until last weekend 'we ain't played nobody'. Now we play all the significant teams on the schedule leading up to a sweet, sweet National Championship.

The crazy part is that very few actual facts have come out in this whole process.  If CP was just covering up for CS after the fact, it was dumb, but both are now gone.  CS got help from a booster?  Well, that booster is now gone too.  Again, at this point there seems to be very little evidence of widespread knowledge of the CS plan, or on-field impact (considering that multiple teams seem to have had all of our signals as well).

This is exactly what the PI/PR campaign was designed to do - make a mountain out of a molehill, and then report on that same molehill over and over again.  No, we don't cheat well, and we will never cheat to the level of the Bama/UGA/OSU's of the world, but we can still support the guys in the maize and blue.  Don't quit on this team, because they could still win it all.  And even if the NCAA tries to take it back later, winning still shows that coaching, development and heart can still beat pure talent when that talent is just there for the glory and the paycheck.

Pretty sure that CS found little advantage in all his antics.  The play call is obvious on all but a half dozen plays a game.  (Down & distance, personnel, package) Trick plays are frequently audibles or sent in without signals if they are not called two plays in advance in a practiced mid-field sequence.  Were those signals for plays called in that sequence even part of the game on video?  Would you trust that they didn't change the signals (or the play associated with them) at the point you see them?
