U-M removes Dave Brandon's Blue turf
It was the only field of its kind when Ocker Field was given a massive renovation in 2014.
The Blue field installed by Dave Brandon in 2014 has been removed. The playing surface is now the standard color with Blue sidelines kept.

Would definitely be a concern with the former dark color blue shown. Another is absorption of visible light diminishing a player's ability to discern and distinguish opponents and their darker gear from background. Green seems to work best for most sports, humans evolved around a lot of green stuff, so it's hardly a surprise.

Uhhhh...... was Dave Brandon really "behind" the blue turf? Like, was it his specific idea or was it something that happened to be done when the Ocker renovations were completed and he was the AD at that time?
I love a Brandon bashing as much as anyone, but I've never heard of him being this Blue Turf mastermind.
It seems you're really stretching to bring up a Brandon bitch fest here. Granted, it's working.
